The defense regressed from #1 under Demeco Ryan’s the previous year to #6 in total defense despite adding some key players like Hargrave and Chase Young. The pass rush alarmingly disappeared in many games despite having Bosa, Hargrave, Young, Gregory, Armstead, etc. They also lacked that killer instinct to finish games that they used to pride themselves on with Demeco and Robert Saleh. This year, if the opposing offense got the last drive with the game on the line they were going to score every time.

That’s not the reason, the issue with players moving is that if you are so called marquee names, jumping from team to team. It is what I referred to as the “AAU mentality”. Many of these players came up under Aau with her, hardly any rules for the team that you play for. They’re for the best players always gather together on the team that gives them the most gear, Weatherby shoes, sweatsuits bags, better travel, etc.. and that is permeated into the NBA with these players. And it’s players not honoring their half of a contract ! You sign for max money, but two years into your five year deal you want out because you’re not happy. And the average fan doesn’t have a contract. The average fan is locked into a job that they can’t get out of. or it’s difficult for us to move around. So when we see a player signing for millions of dollars and then they’re not happy they don’t another half the contract and there’s no consequence that’s what turns fans off. And the players, you mentioned, LeBron, Kyrie, KD, Harden all jump around, but it doesn’t result in loyalty or respect. That’s why players like Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, Luka Dončić, Darien fox Jayson, Tatum, Trae Young, are all respected because they’re staying with their respective teams and building something as a Post just leaving because it’s difficult to win. There’s no competitive nature in that it’s a quitters mentality.

Hey guys super interesting conversation. As an nfl history nut I definitely think booger saying that was irresponsible given all the history. And thank you for pointing out that directing this at only at black players makes no sense Bc the league is mostly black and this seems to happen to white players just as often. Saying that, it seemed this was coming from a disappointed uncle typa mentality. So the issue seems more that he’s saying this on ESPN to everyone and not just to young black nfl players. But I could be totally wrong here and yes ik this is from awhile ago lol.
