I discovered it at the age of 30. Then many things in my life began to make sense (since I was a kid). We all have different struggles but that feeling of "nobody understands me" isn't really true. We're going to make it! If you put your trust in God he promised he'll keep you till the end!

Our BT is a little more hyper but other than that, they are an exact carbon copy of each other. We feed him Fresh Pet too and it’s helped with all of his tummy problems, great stuff! They even look identical 😳!

Hi...not sure if you will see this as it's been a long time ago since you posted this...but I'm starting this journey with ocd and just now got on zoloft and I am hoping you can share with me how it helped or didn't help...praying you are feeling better!

Zoloft and Gabapentin have been SO helpful for my intrusive thoughts!! The gabapentin makes my brain a quiet place and peaceful.

I take 5HTP, Inositol, and b-vitamins and I went from 8 panic attacks a day. to none if a month or so. My OCD went from severe to mild. I was happy for a couple years. But now it's back and as worse as ever. I'm considering switching to Zoloft. I'm a little bummed it'd didn't work for you. Multiple attempts at Exposure therapy have not worked for me. I think my condition is to severe

OCD is very curable. I didnt have OCD for years because i did ERP (Exposure response prevention). Honestly ERP is the only thing that realy works with OCD, it doesnt manage the symptoms but also kill the ocd monster. Please look into it. On youtube there is a channel from Ali Greymond, she is an OCD coach who had OCD herself and she has over 1000 videos online to help you get rid of OCD yourself.

It took so much courage for you to speak about your experience publicly. I too suffer from OCD. I have yet to try medication, I definitely want to. ERP therapy is supposedly considered the gold standard for treatment. I know you said it’s expensive but I found an app called NOCD that you may find helpful. Therapy is actually quite affordable through the app, especially if your insurance is accepted. All licensed OCD therapists with wonderful reviews. I start my second session this week. hi i just recently went to a psychiatrist and got officially diagnosed of ocd after years from childhood of suffering from symptoms. I was given satraline 50mg and to be honest im rlly having second thoughts of continuing the medication as im afraid of side effects from taking it and the side effects from withdrawing from it in the near future. any advices? i just took 1 last night as my first time and the moment i woke up i definitely felt something strange and uncomfortable.

I could literally write a novel about how much I can relate. I'll sum it up with short descriptions from when I was a child and had no idea that what I was doing was a symptom of OCD, until now, where I realized that the majority of my life is controlled by this mental illness.... I used to stop in the middle of what I was doing, no matter the place or time, to untie and "re-tie" my shoes because I had to make sure each shoes was tightened at exactly the same tension as the other... I did similar things with my hair, making sure each side was exactly symmetrical with the other... As I said before, I could go on and on with the little things that I did and had no idea was a symptom of my OCD... Fast forward to now, and I am checking my front door, back door, side door, and garage door at least 10 to 20 times before I can leave that house. From checking the stove, all electrical outlets, flipping light switches, and the endless anxiety of something happening to a loved one, it is completely debilitating. It controls my life... I found your video today because I typed in treating OCD with Zoloft and I was curious about any reviews people had. I did this because my new doctor suggested and prescribed it to me today... Just listening to your "testimony" nearly brought me to tears. I have lost relationships, jobs, and friendships over this issue. As you mentioned multiple times in your video, people that don't have it and nonchalantly use it as a joke to describe being nitpicky do not realize the severity of really having this disorder. As I'm sure you know, it's not their fault though. If we were to have never had it, we wouldn't know any better either. I just want you to know that I understand 100%.... I hope that this medication has continued to be beneficial for you, for the sake both of us, and anyone else that is going through this!!! :)

been on cipralex for 6 months now , been living with severe ocd since I was young and was only really diagnosed 9 months ago because I couldn't act normal anymore and couldn't do day to day tasks , I just turned 23 so I'm really struggling with the fact that I'm gonna need to live with this for the rest of my life. seeing this video helped me a lot , relating to you on a different level ! Chiming in.... She grew up religious..... started having religious intrusive thoughts..... and then spiraled... Clearly...... and many reports are starting to acknowledge that ocd is actually ptsd..... The ocd “thoughts” are a way for the brain to (original) protect the brain from the trauma.... You tube “ocd is ptsd” to get a glimpse of what I am talking about

She’s right something in our heads is broken or a missing gap between neurons, it’s ok to admit that doesn’t mean your lesser of a person, in fact this is the new norm. Zoloft helped me with my OCD and it got really really worse with age.

You have no idea how much of blessing this to stumble across this video. Lately my ocd has been its all time worse and living with it everyday is just painful. I’ve been feeling so alone and strange in this thing feeling like nobody would understand but being able to relate to you has just made me feel so much better that I’m not alone ❤️
