You see these companies are ripping people off, they can sell these for much less the very same companies are selling 1TB m.2 SSD's for $150.00 and for the cfexpress cards around $400.00 to $500.00 Big rip off, And The M.2 SSD's are just as fast if not faster and more reliable then the CF express cards by far.. Google them products and you can be on your way to capturing 8k 60p on a 4tb m.2 ssd for around $630.00 that is including the adapter i have 3 adapters incase, i just mount the m.2 SSD to my rig next to the camera and a ribbon cable goes into my camera with the dummy CFexpress b card that is plunged in my camera, you should check it out this is the best way and you save so much money i have 3 4tb m.2 that i use with this camera and it's blazing fast never had a problem, i recorded so far over 22 hours of 8K 60P video with this method never a problem.. these companies are jacking up the prices on these CF express B cards because they can and you need it if you want to use your camera, but what most people don't know is they can use an adapter and do it for less then 1/4 of the cost, BIG RIP off these media companies, they are ripping you left and right.. And they could make and sell these cfexpress b cards 1tb for $150.00 but they won't because they know they can get away with ripping you off, it if you knew what it cost them to make 1 of these cfexpress b cards you would be mad lol

Nice interview, Phil. I first ran into OWC around 1998 when I was upgrading my PowerBook 1400 laptop's processor. I was doing some satellite data processing at the time, and bumping the CPU to a G3 running about twice as fast as the stock CPU caused some interesting discussions at the company I was working for. My Mac laptop was outperforming my Silicon Graphics system for the processing we were doing. 20+ years later, I seem to find an excuse to pick up something new from OWC every year, including a new SSD this morning to attach to my current M1 laptop.
