This game was my childhood I'm so glad more people are playing it. Alas, my friends and I never were able to beat the full game (mainly due to the fact the disc no longer worked)

Sticker star is a good game and doesn't deserve all the hate it's gotten but TTYD and super paper Mario are my all time favorite

Nice video! You listed a lot of interesting ideas that would improve a game I already enjoy. The only thing I'm not sure of is connecting everything without a world map. Any level that is on a split path would need more exits, or even brand new loading zones. Furthermore, chasing the wiggler parts in world 3 without having access to the world map would be tedious...

"It's an rpg. A bad rpg." I like sticker star and it was apart of my childhood (yes I beat the game as a kid) and even still this game is bad. It has to generic of a story (yes paper mario 64 had a basic story but it built upon it), the combat incirages you to not fight and just run. There is constant back tracking with no hints until you already know what to do or mess up. And the only little bit of story building is optional and can be permanently missed. Even in an interview shigeru miyamoto said this game was bad.

I genuinely don't understand the hate for this game. My first paper Mario game was thousand year door, and i loved it. When i got sticker star, i loved it. I always found it fun. Some battles were a little tedious, but overall i had fun. For a loot goblin like me, being able to just grab all sorts of stickers to use in battle was fun for me.

6:14 the cut into suddenly having endgame weapons and armor was crazy lmao. I was wondering how you were going to get from the Mech bosses to Moon Lord in 5 minutes lol

Everything I could say has pretty much been said already so I'll try to make this brief, but yeah this... Is a really bad defense video You should have just made this a video on why you personally like sticker star instead of one on why it's objectively not a bad game, because most of what you said just chalked up to "I understand most of the criticism, but it's up to preference, and I liked it, so... Yeah" Genuinely sticker star does have its good moments Personally I hated the game, I played the whole game on stream trying to keep an open mind and hoping for the best... But yeah that dwindled very quickly. But regardless, I completely understand how people could enjoy it, and I'm glad it has it's fans, however this video just comes off like you're saying all of us are bitching for no reason even though you agreed with like half of the criticism (RIP the idea of that being brief, whoops)

would like to petition for a superlarge race, where there would be 24-32 racers in one race, using up all the characters. maybe have special tracks for this super large race mode, with a ton of alternatiing routes, many item boxes, larger roads, etc. chaos

FINALLY SOMEONE THAT AGREES Sticker Star is my favorite Paper Mario game, and while I do get some of the criticism it gets, like the levels instead of chapters or lack of original characters, a whole lot of people just give random arguments that dont even make sense to say its a bad game! I wouldnt be able to tell you how many people I've seen say that the paperization is "unintuitive" and "doesnt make sense" and then proceed to say they couldnt figure out how to wake up Wiggler in World 3... BRO THE TRUMPET WAS ON HALF OF YOUR SCREEN FOR A SOLID 5 SECONDS IN THE W1 BOSS LEVEL 😭 But honestly I think the most bullshit argument is the backtracking... Like really, they say this game is bad because of backtracking, but then praise and worship "Backtracking: The Game" (AKA The Thousand Year Door) as if it was the greatest gaming experience of all time I'm not saying TTYD is bad, just that it has way more backtracking and its genuinely so annoying it almost made me straight up stop playing lol (edit is cuz i forgot a word lol)

While I personally don't like Sticker Star, I doubt blame it for the way the Paper Mario games went. I think do think there is some use of this game for the Mario world itself. Things like original characters and alleged mandates was actually just self imposed limitations that Intelligent Systems put on themselves. I while I'd agree with Miyamoto about finding the mechanics and gameplay boring, I do understand others can like it.
