A BREATHTAKING Winter Hike in NORTH DEVON | Codden Hill, UK
Просмотров 6424 дня назад
We put on our walking boots and head for the hills! Only the hill is covered in ice and frost, so we tread carefully up the steep incline while taking in the views of the surrounding countryside. Expect some slips and a couple of near-falls from both of us! Upon reaching the summit, we enjoy spectacular vistas of the North Devon landscape with Exmoor to the north and Dartmoor to the south. We a...

Visiting ROSS-ON-WYE on CHRISTMAS EVE | Ross-on-Wye, UK
Просмотров 56Месяц назад
It’s Christmas Eve and we take a drive into Ross-on-Wye while on our Christmas Airbnb break in Herefordshire. But when we get there, we find lots of shops are closed? We don’t let it deter us though, as we seek out a beautiful church with lots of history, a scenic spot overlooking the River Wye in high flow, and have a look around a fantastic ironmongers and trinkets shop with shelves and boxes...
Our BEAUTIFUL Airbnb stay in HEREFORDSHIRE at CHRISTMAS | Review

After a long and busy year, we spend our Christmas at a self-contained rural Airbnb in the Herefordshire countryside. We absolutely loved our four-night stay in this cosy converted barn set-up and share with you in this video our tour of the property, our thoughts on its features, and what we loved about its quiet and tranquil location close to the border between England and Wales. Enjoying coffee in Igloo Pod after Winter Walk #travel #walking #coffee #hiking

Coffee in an Igloo Pod! While out on our hike up to Symonds Yat viewpoint, Cam enjoyed a mocha, and Andy went for his usual - a flat white - which were both well earned after our muddy walk up to the top! We highly recommend the Symonds Yat Rock Cafe as a refueling stop while treading the trails! Follow Us On Our Social Media Channels - linktr.ee/wherenextadventuresuk

Hey Guys nice travel trip, I cant wait to get abroad soon myself. Also no chance would I attempt to pronounce that hotel either 🤣🤣. Good stuff looking forward to seeing what else you get up to over there. 👍
@@TourWithBen Thanks Ben! There were several attempts by me (Andy) on this trip to pronounce things in Spanish but they probably won’t make the final cut! Stay tuned for the next two Fridays as we managed to see quite a lot in 36 hours. Thanks for supporting us, we really appreciate it.
@@WhereNextAdventures Haha really you got the short straw then lol. Its quite funny how much is left on that cutting room floor lol. Great stuff Andy, Look forward to it bud. 👍
Hey Guys. Never been here always fancied giving it a try though. Also cant believe its been 20 years since it was built. Good stuff guys.
@@TourWithBen Thanks for continuing to support us. We would definitely recommend a summer visit. It gets busier then but probably not as much as it used to. Plus there are lots of great nearby beaches and Cornish towns to make a long weekend or week of it.
@@WhereNextAdventures Yea your right with summer time I imagine. I haven't been to that area of the county much to be fair. Have to have a look at some hotels round there.
@ We think the Eden Project has some quirky pod/containers which have been done up as accommodation? Could be a video opportunity potentially?
@@WhereNextAdventures Oh really that's something to look into. Thanks for letting me know guys.
Good going guys. I'm local and know the area well. Yeah, the slopes can be tricky in the wet but hey you made it. All the trails are in the interior of the wood/Symonds Yat and beyond. But so good to see you at the viewpoint. It is pleasant. I don't blame you for taking the road. A nice mellow walk back. All the best. Mark
@@WyeExplorer Thank you for the kind comments! You’re right, once we got into the interior of the wood it was a lot easier. We were following the OS map app but are still learning with countryside map reading! We enjoyed it, and the views from the viewpoint were amazing. We are hoping to go back to the Wye Valley soon, thank you from Andy and Cameron
@@WhereNextAdventures A pleasure both. See you back this way. I'm sure you'll have another good old time.
Great video and a beautiful city as well! I'm glad I found another hidden gem in the UK to visit this year.
@@kglpgsethan Thank you for commenting! Yes, we love Exeter. It’s one of the UK’s best smaller cities.
I'm from Exeter, live there now, and go into the city often and I have never noticed the bird boxes. Thank you for pointing them out.
@@Kari_B61ex They are a really cool idea aren’t they!
@@WhereNextAdventures They are! I'm meeting my Mum on Thursday for a cuppa, I'll have to point them out to her.
@ Enjoy! Thank you for watching and commenting, we really appreciate it!
Hey Guys, Nice vlog as always looks a nice little town. I am totally with you its quite hard to go into public and film. Hoping it gets easier and easier as we go along. Good stuff.
@@TourWithBen We are getting there, we have filmed a couple more videos since this one and feel it’s getting a bit easier each time. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great video just got one last week still learning it 🫡
@New_era_vlogz Thank you for commenting, we are still getting used to it too. There are quite a few different settings to try out!

Thank you for watching, we had a great time and enjoy a winter walk.
Devon’s so pretty, jealous that it’s on your doorstep. 😅
@@adammskii We are definitely lucky to have amazing countryside so close to home! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice vlog guys. Its so true isn't it how much you learn and how quickly. Its great hearing others with same problems you miss this. My first video I didn't even post as I had about 15min of video in total lol. Its hard isn't it but fun. Cant wait for your future plans guys. Thanks
We are finding with each video we make we learn something that we need to try out next time. Like you say its fun to make the videos and the experience the places we get to go to. Not long now until Where Next Adventures travels a little bit further afield too! Thanks for continuing to support us.
Great video, Devon was the annual holiday when young. Never thought of walking/hiking now older.
@@PepAndJoe Thanks for watching and commenting. Devon is great for a walk or a hike. Easier trails and more strenuous walks too both along the coast and inland with Exmoor and Dartmoor on the doorstep.
Thanks for sharing. Looks great 😊
@@KnightsVanVentures Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, we really appreciate it! Andy and Cameron
Very interesting video which I discovered as I have been searching for Osmo 3 reviews before I buy one. I appreciated you changing mics and thought the camera mic had more echo than the wireless one. I must admit that I am confused by frame rates, I think you changed yours to 24 fps, was this because it is the standard cine one or for another reason like saving memory. Is there any advantage in using say 30 fps or would anyone notice the difference?
Thank for watching. Yes I agree it's more echoed without the microphone. Personally I prefer the microphone on. The reason I changed the frame rate to 24 is simply because that Is the standard frame rate there isn't much difference between 24 to 30 well I couldn't see any it does make the file size a tiny bit smaller but not by much. However if you want to slow down the footage you film and not loose the quality you would want to make the frame rate to 60. If you want to use the camera for blogging day to day then 24 to 30 is fine and you won't see much difference to be honest.
Ahhh lovely North Devon. Used to visit all the time when i was a kid with my parents. Now it's on our bucket list now we have our very first campervan. Thanks for sharing N&Nx
@@grapesodatravels It really is a lovely part of the country. We are fortunate to be able to live and work here with all the beautiful countryside and coastline. Thank you for commenting, we will be checking out your travels! Andy and Cameron.
Rock Park is named due to the land being donated to the town by William Frederick Rock, a publisher and philanthropist who was born in Barnstaple Source: Wikipedia en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Frederick_Rock
@@davebeesley1983 We should have done our research! Thanks for watching!
Loving the videos. Can’t wait to see more as the year goes on 😃
I have the same camera guys great choice. Its so easy to use. Plus love an unboxing vid. Good stuff lads
Thanks for commenting! It really does seem straightforward to use, let us know if you've found any settings you think we should try out some time.
Glad you reviewed this, I was thinking about getting one of these at some point. It looks and sounds good and the smoothness when walking around is great. The lapel mic definitely makes a difference.
Absolutely - we could really tell the difference with the lapel mic so we will probably invest in another one. We love the smoothness it brings to motion shots and moving around too.
That looked really impressive to be fair and nice review at end. I know wish I seen the one in Bordeaux. Great vid guys.
Thanks! It was a nice evening out and we like to try these things. I (Andy) am definitely looking into if we can go back to Bordeaux - the exhibition was called the Bassins de Lumieres and we loved it!
I like that nice and cosy.
@@TourWithBen It was, especially after the uphill walk!
@@WhereNextAdventures haha, Not sure would fancy the walk part lol.
Hey, what a beautiful little town, shame about the closures lol. Nice tour guys.
@@TourWithBen Thanks for continuing to comment and support us! We really appreciate it!
An honest review 👍 we visited one summer. It was busy but preferred other towns locally. Still worth a visit though so it was interesting to hear your views.
Thanks for commenting! Yes, we liked going there, but its not really a place for a whole day. If it wasn't Christmas Eve, we would probably had carried on to the next town. We also like Monmouth nearby.
It looks like a lovely place to stay. Great review. Never stayed away for Christmas. Considering it for 2025.
@@NicolaExplores Thank you for commenting! We would definitely recommend it, we had a lovely relaxing break 😊
@ that’s great. All the best with your new channel. I have just subscribed ☺️
Looks a nice stay. Love it when you can get the TV apps. Good price aswell. Great review. Thanks guys.
@@TourWithBen Thanks for leaving us a comment! We agree on the TV apps too especially as we rarely watch ‘normal TV’. It was amazing value for what you get.
Thank you! Great advice and tips. £95 a night is a bargain!
Thanks for commenting! Absolutely, it was good value for money considering it was the whole property too! 😊
This archive is authentic life 🌹
This was interesting for us as we visited in 2022 and you showed is the parts we didn't see! The pods were not there then amd seem a good idea. Thanks for sharing.
@@johnandpaulstravels Thanks for watching and for commenting to, we really appreciate it! We love the Wye Valley area so will be returning at some point in the future. The pods were a nice touch as there was no indoor seating and it was December after all 🥶. Thanks, Andy and Cameron
It's like you've been doing it for years! We're still shy on camera 😂 Like the fact you will show integrity which is not always found on RUclips! Looks like a nice Airbnb too!
@@johnandpaulstravels Thank you for watching and your kind comments! That’s really nice to hear that as well are still finding our way and getting used to the camera. It was a beautiful Airbnb which was exactly what we needed.
You were right those views are amazing.
They were indeed, and worth the walk. Thanks for watching and commenting, we both really appreciate it! From Cameron and Andy
