Norway Episode Six | Hjälmar på för sista gången
We set off on the last leg of our journey, riding the legendary road known as Trollstigen, "the troll's ladder", and getting our last glimpses of the raw beauty of the Norwegian wilderness.

Thank you Johan and Mathias for organizing this incredible trip. I'm sure I speak for all of us who took part when I say we've made memories to last a lifetime. Beyond the adventure, this trip has surely improved our riding, and thanks to the weather, we've gained some stoic fortitude as well. There's no such thing as bad weather anymore, because I'll always be able to say "At least it wasn't as bad as Norway day two"!

Norway Episode Five - Part 1 | Into Thin Air

The first half of our fifth day in Norway saw us climbing to the highest point of the entire trip, crossing cloud-laden peaks before encountering a glacier, and following its meltwater down to the town of Bergom.
Norway Episode Four - Part 1 | The Greatest Road in the World

Day four was a gargantuan 433km journey that took us from Pulpit Rock all the way to Laerdal. The first half of the day had us riding to the town of Odda, along cliffside roads, past pristine fjords and up across the greatest mountain pass I've been on.

A seemingly terrible start to the day has me throwing up out of a window, but gorgeous roads, warm weather, and clear skies are just the medicine I need, and after a fairly short ride, I recover just in time for our gang to get off our bikes and climb the steep, winding trail to Preikestolen.
Norway Episode Two | The Gauntlet

Our second day in Norway becomes our greatest trial. After leaving Kongsberg, we head into the wilderness, getting our first taste of barren mountains, sheep, and serpentines as we make our way to Lysebotn. However, dark clouds are gathering and before long, we're mired in rain, rain, and more rain!

I've just come home from the adventure of a lifetime where me and 19 other riders toured the most breathtaking roads Norway has to offer. All in all, it was a six day, 2000km journey. My GoPro captured nearly every minute of it, and now I have around 40 hours of footage to go through... it'll take a little time, but here's a taste of what's to come. Big shoutout to all my new friends, and espec...

I work at the forestry department and we cut the grass under prekestolen during tourist season to make it look nice and to make it easier to find people after they fall from the cliff. I'm now going to tell a secret and you must promise to not spread it. Deal? According to non-official data every year 12-15 persons fell off the cliff (and dies off course). But they don't want tourists to be scared and not come so they don't really like to spread the statistics - and no official data is therefore given). Anyway, my colleague was hit by a stone last summer and I'm starting to think it was the stone you dropped from the cliff? Please be considerate when you are at the cliff and don't throw water-bottles, stones, oild drums and sewing machines, etc from the cliff (don't ask why I mentioned those objects specifically). We will appreciate it a lot.

0:16 0:16 This excellent series of videos allows those of us that are not riders to share an amazing experience. Riding along on David’s motorcycle through the Norwegian mountains I was able to submerge myself into the illusion that I was actually there. This was enhanced by the fact that I watched the video on my Oculus Quest 2 headset while on my static bike. I regularly use the program VZfit with an attached cadence meter that allows virtual biking using Google images and control of the bike speed. This of course was not available in the videos, but still I somehow felt I was on the bike. This was due to the excellent way the video was edited and the choice of camera view. The sound track was also well chosen and added much to the experience. Thank you David for providing us with such an entertaining piece of work!

Thanks again for posting, usually Norway needs two visits, one in each direction in case you missed a view behind you, but this part, either Snow Road or Laerdal tunnel would need four passes, having also gone through the tunnel and your pass on snow road, just need another visit to reverse the route. You are showing why this is the best place for motorcycles, great videos.
