George honors Merle Haggard in his shows after Merle passed last year. This is Merle's "Working Man Blues". Great performance George! Lyrics It's a big job just gettin' by with nine kids and a wife But I've been workin' man, dang near all my life but I'll keep workin' Long as my two hands are fit to use I'll drink my beer in a tavern Sing a little bit of these working man blues I keep my nose o...

That’s a nice setup , I’ve got a buzz saw & a motor , I’ve got to figure out how to mount the motor . Any suggestions ? The buzz saw frame has a 3 point hitch but I want to power the buzz saw with the motor , it’s a small Briggs & Stratton , probably about 3 1/2 hp .
always like the clutch direction. Forward is to go, pull to stop, kinda sums up John Deere philosophy

Cool
My uncle had one, really liked that tractor. Kind of looking at one for myself to replace my ‘51 B. It would have power steering, live hydraulics, and live PTO
Is it for sale?
No it was sold many years ago, I made this video for a guy that was interested. He bought it lol. When I got it I traded a Farmall F-12 with a cultivator set for it. I liked the Farmall much better.
All 1956 models 50, 60, 70 John Deere tractors came with power steering. In 1955 and older Power steering was an option. But it always stander equipment on all JD 70 & 80 diesels.
I absolutely loved driving this tractor as a farm kid. It was the smoothest tractor, so easy to drive.
THIS is a prime example of old vintage iron. So old and still running strong. CASE POWER STRONG !!!!

Do you still have this kit or any portion of it? Kenny in NJ
Talk about a survivor!
Do you still have access to this kit?
That looks like a heart ❤ attack engine
Follow Jesus
What would you use it for.
I hust bought a 1954 60, going through the fluids right now
قبول زحمت حداقل دوهزار ادم را برای کارهای مشقت بار گردن میگیره
This has to be the coolest and smoothest running engine for sure. The extra large flywheel looks like it is not even turning at all. Nice machine, will have to see this in person for sure. Sweet.
When I was about 12 years old my dad and I were helping a neighbor do some haying. I got to drive his JD 60. It was then I fell in love with that model. Great memories!!!
What is the draft? How shallow can she go? Thanks
Can't belive that was me at 16 at the controls. I've ran this mill every year ever since
I love the sound, lol.
Wow! Two questions. Where did you see this and where can I get one! Thanks!
Think of how proud the first owner was of this technical marvel it was then.
NICE DISPLAYS, ESPECIALLY THE ENGINE-GENERATOR- CONTROL BOARD WITH THE ANTIQUE ELECTRIC APPLIANCES!! 👍👍
I couldn't figure out what was the problem , till i saw that guy pick up that can of suds 🤣👍👍🇺🇸
Very nice
Thanks for posting this video. The elder man still handles it well.
I recognize those faces.
watch your thumb there
I remember my grandfather had a 60 when he owned his farm but it was stored in the shed and didn’t run.
Beautiful
That makes me realise how powerful a real car is
Is that a 90 engine
It's a good thing those engines are idiot proof cause there are 3 idiots there trying to start it !!!
Looked more like the blind leading the blind
Do you still have this traction engine
Set the front wheels wide.
Two of my Great Uncles had IH Dump Trucks they had hard rubber tires when they bought them, but they converted them over to pneumatic tires.. I don't remember what year they were but one of them sat on My Grandfathers farm for years.. I was born in 1961 and it sat next to a barn when I was a kid.. My Grandfather gave it to a relative who was going to restore it .. I remember them towing it away .. My Great Aunt got Alztiemers and threw all of the Family photos away ..
Nice 60 you got there. Get a cover on that belt pulley/clutch assembly!
Thanks! That 60 went down the road a long time ago.
Hoyt Clagwell for sure. The reason they went out of business is Mrs Hoyt could not get along with Mrs Clagwell
I also have a 65 el camino, put a big block in it a few years ago.Its almost the exact same color but i have metal flake on mine.I've got a short video on my channel you can check out.sweet build

I have the same tractor and love it. It's so easy on fuel
josh black that was a great tractor. I bought it new in 2011 but only logged a little over 300 hours on it and traded it in on a mini excavator. I have a lot of digging and stone walls to build so it worked out to be a good decision. Great tractors though.
Good job. Bush hogging is my most favorite thing to do with a tractor. Love smelling the fresh cut grass and how good it looks when it’s all finished.
