Holy paladin here who also struggled with ara kara last boss. From what i learned is it is easier to have another dispel for the poison. It makes healing easier.. and speccing into herald is better in arakara since we are going to be mostly taking range from boss. And dont forget to use personal defensives for you and also teammates.

Int > haste > crit > versa > mastery from what learned. Get haste flask always.

Think even after the buffs lightsmith is more dmg, but herald still better in key scenarios.

@@dreammoon4 you should try it, much easier to heal because it’s aoe heal with crusade strike plus shield rune and weapon rune give a lot of absorb

I've tried it a little and the numbers are totally strong, but man I don't like melee wings at all, which is what I see most people running with Lightsmith for more sacred weapons. :( Not arguing if its good or not - it definitely is good! Maybe I need some more crit or am not playing it right, but it feels so inconsistent to me.

Hey, glad it was helpful! -If possible, you always want to use BoV when there is AoE healing to be done, unless it's a super small amount to where much of the BoV healing would be wasted. -I'd generally avoid casting LoD unless you're 100% sure its going to hit 5 targets AND no one is in immediate danger. EF is pretty much always the better cast in m+! Hope you enjoy Hpal!

I do (and did in this vid) for almost all vids. Details was a little buggy during the time of this key though, so I wasn't able to show trash splits only bosses. It's fixed in more recent ones!

That might work better for some classes, but I feel like this break setup is better for Hpal CDs. Ideally we'd all be stacked so the dot didn't roll over though. I think the most important thing is to talk about it with your group before the key starts so everyone is on the same page!

If your team is breaking shards before the 3 second damage amp debuff wears off, its totally their fault. You can potentially recover from their mistakes (assuming it doesn't outright kill the group) but that's clearly out of the realm of blaming the healer. Hard to say exactly when to use what CDs here, because the dangerous parts of the fight change depending on how many / when the shards are popped. I normally try to have Spring / Wings / DT overlap with any shield phase, but if your team is killing all 6 shards you may need to send CDs earlier. If they're leaving some up, CDs ready for shield will be super important. I try to always pick up an orb early, plus a second later if I think I'll need it, and also make sure I'm using 2 early BoVs to help stay ahead of the shard pop damage. Sometimes you can only safely BoV once before the AoE, depending on how quick everyone is at popping shards. Because of the rng-ness of both the shard spawn locations and pug dps, you'll have to freestyle your healing quite a bit on this fight!

Sac food is decent at best, definitely sim/dummy bait as a lot of trinkets are nowadays. I would personally use Changling + Gale Where Sacbrood really shines is raid but even on 5 minute fights I’m rarely above 4 charges

No problem, glad they've helped you in your keys! Honestly, I think they're both super close trinkets that If I had one, I wouldn't care about getting the other. I don't think equipping one over the other will make a noticeable impact in your healing at equal item levels. If you have access to both, It's really just a preference of "do I want an int proc or haste proc". Same with the trinket "Empowering Crystal of Anub'ikkaj", they're all very competitive! I do think Changeling would be slightly more consistent experience though, and that is important. Gale is a must though that thing is op af! My 639 Gale gives 3820 int My 639 Sacbrood with 2 stacks gives 2802 and I pretty much always have 2 stacks it seems. This number often hits 3-4 in sustained combat / quick pulling. Not for very long, but enough to at least average near the flat amount of Int provided by Changeling.

@@MikeyJ232 ​Massively disagree on Sacbrood being sim-bait. It will perform better in sims, but still provides enough stats to not be bait. In a smooth dungeon with minimal downtime, you're going to have a high enough Sacbrood stack average to make it the better pick. This changes once you get into dungeons with more downtime like Dawnbreaker, or if the key becomes messy / you're dying. In general, and especially in those scenarios, Changeling will outperform Sacbrood. But because of that, Changeling lends itself more closely to the average key experience, so I think it is the better pick overall and would agree with your recommendation of Gale + Changeling.

Thanks man! Yeah they can be a challenge if your whole group isn't focusing :) Not playing LotM because I feel like I can get more damage globals / take damage talents instead. I still normally run Inflorescence of the Sunwell, just an accident this time hahaha. You might see me trying Veneration in some dungeons for more damage though, but I'll still probably default to Inflo!

Because light of the martyr is actually a hps loss counting the absorb shields you get even when you are overhealing someone with holy shock light of the martyr is just a pad stats look at my parces build it’s actually bad right now

@@Zaczouc27 I ran LotM in quite a few keys this season and like you said, never really found the absorb shield to be a big issue. But, it definitely sacrifices some personal survivability, and also makes you spend more globals on healing rather than damage. I think it would be fine to run sometimes, but probably not by default/in every dungeon. Like prodigyj3jessejohnson983 said, the biggest issue is overhealing counting to the absorb. If that was changed I think it would be a lot better!

I totally sympathize with your experience. Believe me, for every key I upload, there's normally several clown fiesta attempts of the same dungeon I didn't upload haha. Always try and take advantage of a successful group and ask "wanna run another?" It can feel weird sometimes (and I still struggle doing it too) but if they say yes you get to skip the LFG line and actually play the game, with people you already know are decent!

@@Jickolas That awesome m8 tnx for sharing. Even though all my keys are timed +10 and got ara kara and mist 11 and "only" need to time stonevault and grim batol left on +10. My grim batol is also 9++ and i still cant get invite. Also last night i gave it a shot in stonevault and my group kept pulling each time 3 groups and they barely used any defensive and in total we had 7 interrupts till first boss and in the end when we died on those two stone giants they blamed it on me...

@@dengo6716 Nice man! Yeah, SV and GB were the last ones I timed on 10, and then my last ones on 11 as well. Seems like that's a common theme for most people :) Sounds like you're close to getting them though! Oh god did your team double pull the 2 Rocksmashers before last boss? That's a banned pull imo - maybe super high keys are doing it but I legit never see it work out in groups without coms.

Infinite Sadness. It's hard to describe how incompetent I think the developers are for even suggesting such a random nerf. In my opinion, the main issue Blizzard is trying to address is how good Hpal is at healing super stacked raid groups with our uncapped hero talents. But instead of making the abilities work correctly and do reduced healing after X amount of targets, they pivot to a blanket nerf. Which, in the complete vacuum that is Mythic Rasha'nan, makes sense... But then you look at literally every other fight and see they're performing at or below the field's average. Or look at the wall of shaman in M+ :) The good news is that, when we need healing in m+, we're still going to have more than enough. The bad news is being out of wings is going to feel like hell. Also they're pushing lightsmith which is kinda lame... Not because I hate Lightsmith, but because Herald of the Sun has a couple talents (and animations lol) that make it awesome. Based on the backlash, I'd be surprised if they didn't walk it back tbh. It's a pretty damning situation when even the Hpal haters are confused about them getting nerfed lol. Unless they have something truly spectacular planned for the 11.0.5 talent tree to event things out (which based on the last set of changes, they don't) then we're not feeling great :( Still gunna keep playing it though... but I might start opening vault as ret just in case.

​@@greatsc0tt455 Yup actually ridiculous. The hard part is that the nerf is just so random there isn't any real feedback players (or at least, I) can provide. Additionally, if they thought nerfing us (and not shaman!!!!) was the correct choice, that means any sort of buffs are completely out of the conversation. At least the play-pattern still feels good. Hope the Hpal dev doesn't find a way to ruin that :)

HL is definitely the more expensive cast between the two - you're totally right! You don't want to be spamming it. A couple things to consider: -Infusion of Light procs increase the healing of HL by 100% (150% with inflorescence of the sunwell) -Divine Favor also increases HL (and FoLs) healing -taking both of those into account, Holy Light is going to do more healing per amount of time, which is usually the most important factor in m+ (and especially so since the scope of this video is maximizing your healing in the short BoV window!) If you find yourself casting HL without any of those buffs active, it's super weak and will sap your mana super hard. Akso, nowadays, you generally want to avoid hard-casting, so if you're not trying to cast a massive HL, its normally better to build holy power with Crusader Strike/Judgment/Holy Shock. Hope that helps!

@@Jickolas I didn't know holy light had interactions with divine toll. That's new information for me. I typically use my shocks during DT and infusion of light goes on flash of light. I tried using holy light with it but it just didn't feel like it did enough. There is a talent that makes it so when you cast holy light 8% of the heal goes onto other allies. I like that talent a lot but with the current build you can get it without a huge sacrifice in performance. Hopefully in the coming months there is a good rework for holy paladin.

Awesome! Quick tip on that - If you forget/desync the cd too much, it's always better to let the root go through and then reset yourself on the next cast. Definitely don't freedom too late or you'll insta-root everyone (I have definitely wiped by doing this 🥴)

I also use this addon to hide some bars I don't need to always see. Let me know if you have any other questions!
