Will be doing this at my house during the weekend in houston how dificult is to get a permit ? Do they need to come by first before i start work ? Gas has been disconected and taged out for a few moths now bc of a leak ,i will be moving in soon so i need to have gas first ,thanks alot
@@jorgiep09 I understand, in your case, you will probably have to get a permit. If it’s only been a few months and you were the previous person paying the bill like you’ve been in the house for a while, then you will probably have to get a professional to fix it. I bought my property this way and fixed it before turning on the gas.

A more efficient way to wire a room (if you have attic or a crawlspace) just put a junction box up in the center of the room in the attic or under the house then run individual wire from it to each box. This makes it much easier and also saves a lot of wire as opposed to jumping from box to box. As long as youbhave access to the J-box its still code

Why knockdown when the wall is orange peel?
@@thpiii5084 Because sometimes there’s overspray or squirts on the wall little nubs that stick out and you want to scrape all those little nubs off to make it look way better. Good question thanks! Also, sometimes where renters or people have had pictures on the wall there is sheet rock damage, and you want to scrape that stuff off make it flat or indent it so you can fill it in and make it smooth.

🤣 It's a good thing asbestos isn't as dangerous as people think. @@aanaya3651 Good question! I’m not sure on that one. Maybe just take them off. Leave it for the future option..
If you're below the frost line then why do you need to insulate it?
@@G5Ckxew good question! I just did it for fun. It’s cheap doesn’t take too much time. It protects the pipe if I was to dig it up again in the future. And I just did it for a video you can do this anywhere like in an attic or under a house, etc. etc. you could also tape around the seams.
@@GrantKeysProperties That is a good enough reason. Cheap insurance for a low price. I've considered something similar for burying fiber optic cable to lower the risk of damage from rocks when I backfill the trench.
@ That’s a good idea, rocks can be bad or clumps of strong dirt. It definitely will give it some protection! Thanks for reaching out!

Can a 15amp run 4 outlets and 5 led highhats and a switch?
@@georgebennett4722 Yes, but I will say on the outlets you don’t wanna overload them. Be careful of what you’re plugging in those outlets. But yes, you can definitely do that on one wire. If you’re a gamer and do all kinds of stuff on those plugs, you might need three wires for that room. Depending on you, you know like I said, what’s your plugging in. Normal wire room just like a TV and a phone plug-in or a lamp or something like that. Keep in mind if you do overload it, it should trip the breaker and would be fine most likely. Theoretically you could probably put 100 outlets on one wire as long as you were just doing minimum voltage things. We’re not using all of them at the same time with hair dryers lol you know what I mean. Hopefully this helps!
This video saved me so much time and money!! Thank you!!!
No problem!! I’m soo glad it helped! Thank you for reaching out to me.
So basically all the receptacles are feeding from the one that 6ft from the door? Are they wired in series?
@@nizarokab-p8v Yes, everything is coming from the panel to the first receptacle and in a series one after another.
@ thank you
@@nizarokab-p8v no problem! Thanks for reaching out!
No, they are definitely not in series. The continuity of both the hots and the neutrals is maintained at each receptacle by connecting both the incoming and outgoing black (hot) wires to one side of the receptacle and the white (neutral) wires on the other side. The way the wiring is done (from one receptacle to the next sequentially) gives the impression that they're wired in series - but no - they're in parallel.
@davidcoon2946 You’re correct but nobody’s gonna understand that. That hasn’t done it before, this is a simple drawing. You will have to watch my other videos to see in detailed how to do exactly what you’re talking about but yes, the wire goes from the panel to each one all the way around the room. Check out my electrical series playlist you will find demonstrations for all of these things there.
Thank you so much! The instructions in the box was absolute garbage. I at least know what I have to get with it. Bought it and was told it had everything in the box which I doubted. Couldn't find where the battery went. Very few instructions other then be safe, etc
