Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. If "Christians" in America ACTUALLY behaved the way Jesus supposedly taught them, that'd be a start. Instead, they use it as cover to preach hate and intolerance. So cry me a goddam river, xtians. 🙄

Attempts to remove Christianity from religion are a hopeless effort to feel special. But that's not what's getting four people to run out the church back door for every 5yo you drag to the front of the church. Do some homework and try again.

My husband and I live in an area that does not have a Mennonite church. I've been searching for Mennonite online worship and found yours today. We decided to watch your service from last week. July 2. What a blessing it turned out to be as we sang along to the familiar hymns. Then came the children's time and, we were doubly blessed. You see, my husband was also in the military before we found the Mennonite church in 1978.That is when we found out that he could have avoided the military if he knew there was such a thing as pacifism. From the music to all the wonderful focus on peace, justice and faith know we will be watching you again and again. Just wanted to share with you our thoughts.
