I came back to make an edit from a comment I made like a minute ago and it's not there. Weird. I will paraphrase what I said before. Cops are always put on administrative leave following a shooting because there was always an investigation and there is a presumption of innocence like there is for everyone else for the constitution. While I think cop should be held to higher standards and face harsher punishments if they are found at fault here we have a situation where you're calling for the cops to judge someone based on how they look which is something they get vilified for routinely. When you have to pull the trigger you shoot until the threat is neutralized and it only takes a few seconds to empty your magazine. Without seeing the actual body cam footage all I know is what you said which is the police officer shows up to two men fighting with a deadly weapon.
