Beach Camping on a Scottish Island

The Isle of Iona is an absolute gem of a place, I would definetly recommend it as a day trip from Mull. Thanks for all the feedback on the last video! As this was recorded at the same time, I haven't implemented any of it yet, but I am out recording tomorrow, so the next video hopefully will be my best yet. I'm thinking more like my Portugal videos, with the added landscape shots. Excited for t...
A night in Scotland's remote Moidart
Просмотров 399Год назад
A Bivi camp in Moidart, Scotland. Reflecting upon this night, my only wish is that I’d filmed more, more details, close ups etc, just so you guys get a more in depth look at what I do. I am also aware though, that not only was I exhausted from my night shift plus 7 hour drive, but I was racing against time to get to the summit before sunset. This means as much as I wanted to film, I had to comp...

Great trip this one, thanks to Seth for being up for anything and being great company! Let me know your honest feedback! I’m still learning about my new camera and the best settings for night photography etc. Now I just want to clarify something before someone comments and starts complaining about it. DEAD trees and wood are EXEMPT from tree felling laws. Regardless, we did NOT fell the tree. W...

The last none-snowy climb of winter! This was a couple days before the arrival of the proper snow, which I can’t imagine will leave us until April at earliest! Amazing scramble up, would highly recommended, unless you’re afraid of heights! Please like and subscribe, helps me out! :)

Fantastic scramble up onto the ridge followed by an amazing sunset and sunrise. Thanks Kenzie (aka McGumzoi) for the company, greatly appreciated. I realise I could have gone into greater detail about the route and how it went etc, but I’ll do that here instead. We headed to Lochan Coire Lagan, and headed up the western rock face to Sgurr Dearg and the Inaccessible pinnacle which we wanted to s...
The Bothy Experience | Suardalan
Просмотров 438Год назад
Short ‘cinematic’ video, if you could call it that. This is generally what goes down in a bothy trip. A hike in, often with river crossings, a big fire with many drinks, followed by the hike back out the following day. It’s simple, but it’s fantastic. Great way to disconnect from the world as most bothies have no signal. Crazy video coming in the next week or so, make sure notifications are on ...

4 Days on a remote Scottish island | Isle of Rum
whaoo
That's my sort of life (haha for a lot more years than you lol) fresh air, time away from towns and cities, and giving the body a good workout in such a spectacular scenic environment is just the best
Feet up in front of a warm fire in a cosy hut (Bothy) is the picture of happiness in my book
We all might have to learn sign language for the windy conditions lol
What a welcome sight that Bothy would be in bad weather
Does anyone know the location of this lake ?
Where is this? Im trying to search for the best places in scotland
Mad respect to you for having the balls to adventure travel the way that you do!
Its only dangerous for idiots.
Finally, I found something raw. I’m going soon to Madeira and have been on the lookout for some fellow travelers, spontaneous and with your spirit of wild camping, trying new tastes, exploring without exact round just letting yourself be amazed by the place (not just the touristic stuff) The edit is phenomenal, your talks are raw & funny. Thank you for sharing mate, amazing work… keep inspiring! Cheers 🍻
good job
Where abouts in scotland is this lads? Looks beautiful, im in the east of Scotland near Dundee. Do yous have any suggestions on places close to myself by any chance? Great content btw 😊 x
Great video mate, I'm heading to Rum in May so this vid has been great for my planning process whilst I wait for the OS map to arrive!
Aloha can you go to any Surfing spots anywhere with hollow waves and of big size at least over head ??? But thank you Mahalo for the Video Aloha from. HAWAII.DSC777
Be nice to see a bit more of what u see on your hike ie on this one the beaches
What loch is this
Keep uploading camping videos brother sending love from india ❤
What bothy are you staying at on the edge of the cliff? that looks awesome
Hey mate! I’ve got a question.. do you not need some permit for the camping? I’ve been looking to go there and stay for a month wildcamping but some websites are saying it’s illegal. Please tell me your experience and if you know about this
You need a permit for certain sites yes, but if you go far off the beaten track, I don’t think you’ll have any issues. The problem is finding these places, as Madeira is quite a built up island.
wild camping is illegal, so you can only go camping on some sites and if you get a permit. If you go wild camping you can get fined.
Superb 🌞
Where is this located?
how do you manage to travel, wanna do same, im currently working and saving money, which phone/camera do you use? love your vids
I use the Sony A6400 and the IPhone 13, and I’m currently just working and saving too! I’m nothing special mate :)
Thank you for the tour. Your stamina is amazing! Stay safe out there.
No problem, thanks Mike. Will do 🙌🏼
Jeezz then view's are amazing!! Have to admit tho i hate hiking up steps they are my killers 🤣 and that tanline is crazy 🤣 keep it up bro!
Hahah annoying aren’t they! Well worth it in the end though. Thanks mate 😁
Such a wonderful video! I've watched the ending several times. I was touched by how you'd prayed before the trip for God to make you dependent solely on Him. He answered your prayer with a meaningful lesson that, in the end, didn't cost you anything but 1½ hours of concern and uncertainty; and He answered your further prayers with the return of your phone. Be grateful for the both and never doubt God's care for you. Learn to trust Him more. Both God and Daniel blessed you, and may God bless you and Daniel.
Thank you so much Mike, this is such a lovely comment. God always has our best interests at heart, I think everyone could do with trusting Him a little more, myself included :)
@@zacwrong Amen to that!
This is masterfully executed my friend! Shots are so nicely executed as well as narration!
That means a lot coming from someone as talented as yourself. Thank you Ervin!
You've got me looking up flights to Madeira now, beautiful video! Daniel is an absolute lad!
Hahah I’m glad to hear it - it’s a beautiful island! Daniel was just the nicest guy 🙏🏼
Im in love with these videos! Such great content bro keep it up! And Daniel is an actual legend!
Thank you so much! It truly means a lot! Daniel really is an absolute legend hahah
love your videos brother , love from india
I appreciate it thank you! Hopefully one day I can visit your beautiful country 😁
love from india brother
What camera have you got now blud?
Sony A6400 mate!
@@zacwrong I've got a 50mm 1.6 / 16mm .14 or 12mm 2.8 if you'd like any
@@MikedoesntflySony lenses yeah? Depends how much they’re going for to be honest mate but I’d be interested :)
Which lens are you using now? It looks like you've got a wide one and a prime
@@zacwrong The 16mm 1.4 is peng tbf because of the blur you can get in the background
This looks sooo sick! Can't wait!
Appreciate you mate!!
Jeezz man is out here looking like bear grylls in the full kit! 😂 another class video tho! Keep it up bro!
Ayee I appreciate it man hahah thanks! The next one is a banger!
Is there a fire
Not in this bothy I’m afraid.
That was an amazing video, in an amazing place, by an amazing adventurer! When you were scrambling steep places, I had to keep reminding myself that you had to go back for your camera and do it over again! It's great that you recovered your remote shutter. (You might spray-paint it bright orange or yellow, which works with any easily losable item.) Congrats to you on the sponsorship and thanks to Blacks.
Thank you so much for the kind words Mike! I’m glad you enjoyed it. That’s an absolutely genius idea for the remote shutter, I’m going abroad tomorrow so I might try and do something to it before then! More exciting stuff to come 😁
Beautiful timelapse at 15:00, great camerawork! Can't wait to see more videos!
Thank you so much mate, really appreciate it 😁
in the next video, could you quickly show what you carry in your bag?
Of course, that’s a great idea! My next video is actually already recorded, but I have a cool trip coming up next week, so I will make sure to show you what I’m carrying with me! Thanks for the support 🙌🏼
Nice Video man!
Thank you my friend! It is great appreciated :)
Wow, this is the kind of content, keep me visiting youtube.
Thanks man! Can’t wait to share more of my adventures with you
Read a really good book about Callum's Road.
That’s awesome! I haven’t read the book yet sadly, but I’ve heard great things!
What camera do you use? Love the video bro!
Thanks Jolan! I use the Sony a6400 😁
Jeezz that place is amazing! Gonna have to add to my list 🤣 i been doing alot of wild camping around cornwall atm
Honestly mate you’d be blown away! What’s the wild camping like in Cornwall?
@@zacwrong it's on my list now 🤣 and cornwall is decent in the summer time alot if hidden beachs and cliff tops would recommend if u haven't done cornwall before
Just found this channel from tictok! And it doesn't disappoint!
Thank you so much mate! Lots to come 🙌🏼
Stunning video mate
Cheers Big Deac! Hope you’re well
I can't get enough of your videos man, I am really obsessed with nature and I am quite jealous of you not gonna lie LOL. Keep up the good content, oh and I think it's better if you talk to the camera as opposed to just sharing views, I would love to hear some of your insights on life potentially.
Thank you so much mate! It’s a lot of fun getting out, and being able to share my experiences with you! Thanks for the feedback as well, that’s lovely to hear so I will definitely try going forward to dive into that 😁
Great video mate, that was an incredible sunrise, literally fire. Feedback-wise, I love your framing of the natural beauty, really impressive shots, keep it up. I would find it interesting if you talk/filmed more about the actual sleeping experience because not many people, myself included, have slept in conditions as cold as you have, it's genuinely interesting. Looking forward to the next one Zac 👊
Thank you so much mate, especially for the feedback, that’s perfect! It is greatly appreciated 🙏🏼
Ur video is amazing..what camera u using in this video?
I use the Sony A6400 mate! Thank you for the support 🙌🏼
I like seeing the amazing scenery, but learning about it even better, so I'd prefer a mixed approach. I met you through Mike Birks's channel and have subscribed. Geography is the thing for me. Mike is more about cultural geography, and you seem to be more about physical geography, but I like both.
Thank you Mike, really appreciate the feedback! Got another video in the works from this trip, but next time I’m out recording I’ll be taking this into great consideration. Thanks 🙏🏼
Content good but 20 mins length would be better
Cheers mate, appreciate the feedback! 🙌🏼
This is life
Thank you! 😁
