Not using all damage buffs that you would normally use shifts this comparision in favour of Aristocrats as all damage bonuses are calculated additively, while Anti-armor is technically a multiplicative bonus. If you stack less damage buffs the 50% damage from Aristocrats has a bigger impact on your damage than it would have if you would have stacked all damage buffs. So under a more realistic scenario with more damage buffs Anti-armor will probably be better. But this doesn't matter as Anti-armor is getting indirectly nerfed next patch as there are some combat rebalance changes on PTS. Most enemy types will have less damage resistance but more health with the next patch, so armor penetration will have less impact on your damage than it has now on the live system.

Thanks for putting in the work, I think a lot of FO76 players will appreciate it. But I think bosses are where many of us maximize our damage potential. I think the same tests vs Scorchbeast Queen, Earl, Storm Goliath etc would be informative. But regardless, thank you

Yeah, like some other people said, to use aristocrat you have to make sure to have enough caps, which I spend regularly. I’d rather have anti-armor or bloodied.

Please compare bloodied damage vs Aristocrat damage but with bloodied built and may want to include AA

Anti Armor is just more open to other builds imo. No need to stock up caps, get addicted and lower SPECIAL stats, and most importantly very useful to heavy weapon users who don't like power armor.

In addition to plasmacaster I also use a gatling gun. Both do better than your weapons in this video IMO

I run a plasmacaster heavy gunner PA build and just started using aristocrats but might go AA if I can find the mod cheap or finally get lucky and get it from scrapping

My choice is Anti-Armor against bosses and Aristocrats against minions 🥹

Aristocrats is definitely good... your results show about the same as mine. However, I can't handle the paranoia of being that high in caps all the time, since my vendors are always busy haha So Junkies it is for me. I've done Junkies for a long LONG time and find it almost always outperforms AA in every respect.

I personally disagree, if you'll take a look at my wallet you'll clearly see I will never be within the damage percentile to beat anti armor

Then reason stabilized is only like another 20% more armor penetration is because it's getting rid of 45% of the remaining 50% of armor

I did some half-assed personal testing as well, and it turns out that.. non-critical attacks against bosses/high armor: bloodied>aris>AA critical hit attacks against bosses/high armor: AA>bloodied>aris Considering that Heavy weapons are getting lesser vats cost in the upcoming updates, PA critical heavy gunners might find AA useful, specially in the raids.

UPDATE - Patch 1.7.15.12 as of Oct 22 2024 - Backwoodsman 6 and Live And Love 3 are officially dead, and 88 INT is no longer do-able. Other magazine options are: Live & Love 8 (+5% XP when on a team, best option probably), Zeta Invaders Magazine/Atomic Command Magazine (+1 INT)
