5.3 Consumption Allowance
This video is a short presentation of the on how to compute your departure draft in the governing zone. It’s a basic computation of knowing your draft and if your vessel is floating on a local density. Take advantage of such a program to lessen your workload on board. This is not a shortcut method but rather a mathematical approach by Excel for shipboard use. I suggest that you take advantage of this program to lessen your workload on board. Thanks for watching this video!!

Finding draft due to change of density by using the hydrostatic tables
Просмотров 503 месяца назад
This video is a short presentation of finding draft due to change of density by using hydrostatic tables. The draft at BW density can be found by first, diving the SW displacement by the BW density to get the volume of displacement (underwater volume of the ship), then multiplying it by density 1.025 t/m3. This is called “look up” displacement. This serves as the displacement to look-up in the ...
Change of Draft due to Density Formula

This video is a short presentation of a vessel, when the change of density of water is decreasing as from SW to FW, the volume of water displaced increases, therefore an increase in draft. When the change of density of water is increasing, as in from FW to SW then the volume of water displaced must decrease - hence the draft also decreases. The amount by which the draft will either increase or ...

what if we have draft 2m density 1015 proceeding to sea wc is 1025 density what is the new draft if fwa of 125mm
@EthanChannel1, this my reply to your question. 1. DWA = FWA (1.025-dd) / a. FWA - Fresh Water Allowance 0.025 b. dd - Local water density c. 0.025 - Constant in meters DWA = 0.125 (1.025-1.015) / 0.025 = 0.125 x 0.01 / 0.025 = 0.00125 / 0.025 DWA = 0.05 2. SW = DW Draft - DWA = 2.00 - 0.025 = 1.95 m (Draft in SW) Hope this answers your question. The other solution is by conversion of density.
Dock water to Salt Water Density Displacement Mid Draft DW SW DW 15920.95 2.000 1.015 1.025 SW Displacement X 1.015 / SW SW 15920.95 X 1.015 / 1.025 SW 16159.76425 / 1.025 SW 15765.62 15766 Ans. (Displacement) SW 1.982 Ans. (Draft in meters) SW

Ano ang draft fwd at aft draft sir
Fwd = 9.00m Aft = 9.22m Mean = 9.11m @ 1.011 t/m3 (Arrival at berth)
Good sir
i have just send email to you,pls check!
"I still don't really understand that formula. To facilitate communication and learning, could I please have your WhatsApp number? If possible, I would very much like to connect with you on WhatsApp."
sir! i dont understand why DW= (DisSW x 1.025)/1.010
Your true departure displacement at Winter Zone or loading berth is 77,242 mt. (SW) a draft of 13.05m. Question no.2, says what will be your departure draft if she floats or departs at berth if your local density is 1.010 t/m3. It means your true departure draft is derived or computed from SW (as you extract the value from the hydrostatic table). Convert it or use the formula provided so that she will float or depart on the current local density of (1.010 t/m3). By using the formula, it's the only way you can convert from SW to BW/Dock water. The Accurate and easiest way is using the "Loadicator" of your vessel. Just change the figure of the density of the departure or arrival of your vessel at port. In this case, your departure draft at the loading port is 13.228m when she floats in a density of 1.010 t/m3. Notice, that the vessel's draft will sink or the reading of the draft will rise to a bigger number if she floats from SW to BW/DW and vice versa.
and videos guiding how to ventilate the cargo holds when the ship is carrying grain?
Thank you very much for the very useful videos. Could you make some more videos about loading cargo in winter zones, the maximum cargo that can be loaded in winter zones, the draft limits at load ports, and the draft limits at discharge ports?
Thank you for your sharing, and it's really informative!

What is Draft Arrival Next Port?
I hope I answered your question correctly, do you mean, to expound into context "Draft Arrival Next Port". It is an advanced mathematical computation to know your arrival draft on your next pot of call. For example, you have completed loading coal cargo in Dampier, Australia. Through this program, you will know what will be your arrival draft (when you reach your discharging port). It is an advanced mathematical approach to predicting your arrival draft at Kwangyang, South Korea (Discharging port).

does the fomular change when the ship made in korean)LCG fwd " + "/ LCG aft "-" sir?
The formula doesn't change except for the sign of LCG. In this case, in a Korean-made vessel, the forward part is "+" and the aft part is "-". To set an example, consult the loading manual on your vessel. There are examples there that will answer to your query.
Good day po sir ,paano po ba naging 9.60 m ang draft fwd.?
