Seems odd that the shading/blending is done with what seems to be a fine point. I've never heard of metalpoint before today and maybe will try that sometime. Your drawing looks professional.👍

I have " Parrots of the World", but have also seen his turraco and cockatoo series. Just phenomenal.

I'm lucky enough to own a book by Bill Cooper, found in a charity shop in Queensland and I'm very happy with it. His works amazing, both of birds and trees.

This mans bird painting are simpley second to none.All that have had the thrill of experiencing images of his paintings can attest of the sheer greatness of his skill.To say they are accurate would come across as a sarcastic joke of sorts. The truth is, they are breathtaking if not inspiring. The branches, leaves and background are no less intricate.The sheer amount of his productivity, at the highest of standards, is perhaps the most impressive attritbute of Mr. Cooper.
