Geospatial Analysis
Германия
Добавлен 21 янв 2016
Welcome to my channel, where I share my passion for geospatial data analysis. Geospatial data analysis is the process of collecting, combining, and visualizing various types of geospatial data, such as GPS, satellite images, and geographic information systems (GIS). Geospatial data analysis can help us understand how people, objects, and phenomena interact within space, as well as to make predictions based on trends in the relationships between places¹². On this channel, you will learn how to use different GIS software tools, such as ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ERDAS, ENVI, eCognition, and Eagle Point. You will also see how geospatial data analysis can be applied to various domains, such as environmental management, urban planning, disaster response, and more. If you are interested in learning more about geospatial data analysis and GIS software, please subscribe to my channel and hit the bell icon to get notified of new videos.

How to calculate The Atmospherically Resistant Vegetation Index (ARVI) in ArcGIS Pro
The Atmospherically Resistant Vegetation Index (ARVI) values typically range from -1 to 1, similar to NDVI, with distinct interpretations for each range of values. Here’s how to interpret ARVI values:
Negative Values (around -1 to 0):
Interpretation: These values indicate non-vegetative surfaces.
Examples: Water bodies, clouds, snow, or urban areas.
Reason: Non-vegetated surfaces usually reflect less in the near-infrared (NIR) band, causing the ARVI values to be low or negative.
Low Positive Values (0 to 0.2):
Interpretation: Sparse vegetation or areas with little chlorophyll activity.
Examples: Bare soil, dry vegetation, or sparsely vegetated areas.
Reason: Sparse or stressed vegetation has less...

LiDAR, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, is a remote sensing method that uses light in the form of a pulsed laser to measure distances to the Earth's surface. This technology operates on the principle of sending out laser pulses and measuring the time it takes for them to bounce back after hitting an object."

sir one doubt i have using sentinel 2 5 band composite imagery for my project, can I train rf using training samples generated from that sentinel 2 5 band imagery for current year and save the .ecd file and use it for same area but different date imagery with same 5 band composite imagery for image classification whether it will work please help me sir
Good information 🌹

thank yoy for the video. I would like to ask, is it possible to create a layer of median solar radiation in some years period of time? for example the median radiation for the whole year of 2023 and not on specific date. Also I would like to ask if its possible to do in in arcmap and qgis, because i dont have access to arcgis pro

Hello there, I did the same thing step by step but nothing happened it keeps giving me errors
Very Informative , kindly Add the script also in discription it will be very helpfull for everyone
Can you use already trained data means traing points for temporal lulc classification? If yes then how much accuracy is good? Can you make video for landsat 7 lulc? Including water, baren soil, builtup , vegetataion and snow cover?
❤❤❤🎉🎉❤
Which version of arcmap are you using
10.8.1
NICE !!
Kindly share the line of code as well, for some reason it won't work on my QGIS when I type it out
Very good work
need to find video, tomorrow, for today
Followed everything out theres no float option and it wont run
Check it again
Fantastic tutorial
Why do you have the heatmap behind the political boundary shapefile? I thought the temporal changes in that data is what you wanted to display.
Thanks for sharing
So what's the actual numerical value that is the ruggedness index in this?
im getting a python error
update python.

Thank you for the information, I have a question. 1) Can I use DEM instead of DSM? 2) Instead of using a DEM, is it possible to reflect the height information of the building?
Using a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) instead of a Digital Surface Model (DSM) for identifying solar energy potential can be done, but there are important considerations to keep in mind: DEM vs. DSM: DEM (Digital Elevation Model): Represents the bare earth surface, excluding buildings, vegetation, and other surface features. Provides the elevation of the ground without any obstacles. DSM (Digital Surface Model): Includes the elevation of the earth’s surface along with all objects on it, such as buildings, trees, and other structures. Provides the elevation of the highest surface at each location, which is more relevant for assessing solar energy potential, especially in urban areas. Use DSM Where Possible: For more accurate and realistic solar energy potential assessments, especially in urban or complex terrains, use a DSM. This will account for the shading effects of buildings and other surface features. DEM Use Case: If you only have access to a DEM and your area of interest is primarily open and flat (such as agricultural fields or wilderness areas), then a DEM may be an acceptable substitute, but with an understanding of its limitations. While a DEM can be used with the ArcGIS Pro Raster Solar Radiation tool, it may not provide the most accurate results in built-up areas where surface obstructions are important. A DSM is generally recommended for solar energy potential assessments, especially in urban settings.
Sir will cloud masking make the background/image have no data... Just blank??
Cloud masking in ArcGIS typically involves identifying and masking out cloud-covered pixels in satellite imagery to ensure they do not interfere with subsequent analysis. The resulting masked areas can be represented in different ways depending on the method and the specific requirements of the analysis. No data or black
