@@JT-6s yeah lesson learned for sure. I was aware of the brushed to brushless business model. I would argue it’s not a guarantee that a successful brushed platform will become brushless. For some reason me and other RUclipsrs I watch and interact with didn’t see it coming for the grom and the Gorgon chassis rc’s. I tend to believe nobody believed the Gorgon would be rereleased as a brushless version. It still might not be. Do you know? Will there be a brushless 2 wheel mega vortek? Honestly I’m no longer upset. Like I said I learned my lesson. I am a fan of Arrma. I think those brushed Gorgon chassis (mega vorteks and fury) are super fun and priced well. Still wrestling with how I feel about the brushed groms. But yeah I like Arrma and look to buy more of their cars. I’m just never getting a brushed rc from them with the idea of turning it brushless. Lesson learned. Appreciate the comment. Thank you ✌🏼

Appreciate the invite but this is a stock setup. I’d only hit high 30’s low 40’s. I’ve made a speed run version of this platform way back in the day and realized it’s not for me. There’s not a street around me that I feel safe attempting high speeds. Perhaps in the future but for now I like to cap my speed at around 50mph. But ima stay tuned to your channel and see how you do it. By the way is there s specific mod of spur gear that fits this platform? I’ve only been able to use the stock ones that come in the wltoys or the Rlaarlo’s.✌🏼

@@scaleworksRC I can’t lie getting “free” cars would be awesome. But it’s like we talked about the idea of turning this hobby into something to profit off of is going to sour it for me. I work full time and would hate to have a deadline to produce a video. That being said ain’t nobody f$cking with me and my potty mouth. It’s funny I am making a lot of Rlaarlo content. Next few videos should be the same. I’m just a fan. They put out some cheap bangers. They are getting expensive though. I was hoping that new rally was $250 for the carbon. I was actually hoping for $200 considering it’s basically the same as the terminator and that was $200 for the carbon at release. You can still get it for about $215. I think all those lights on the rally bumped up that price 🤷🏽‍♂️

@Rangoli_rc Yeah the lights definitely added to the cost, but itso worth it. Rlaarlo wanted people to be honest about their reviews, so maybe they might be cool with ya. Totally understand not wanting to take on extra commitment tho 💯

@@mikehaberski4596 it’s the company Rlaarlo / amoril / croboll. But it’s literally the wltoys 144001 with a good motor / esc, better servo, better bumper / wheelie bar, and sway bars. It’s sold on Amazon with big truggy tires. Only $106. I just got another. Turning that one into a buggy . I have a fairly recent video of this with a blue body shell on it. The thumbnail says $106. If I remember correctly I go more into detail about it✌🏼

@ sway bars seem to be the move but honestly I have no idea what I’m doing with them. I wouldn’t know how to get an aftermarket set. I suppose I could get help at a hobby shop. Still need to go to one🤦🏽‍♂️

@@scaleworksRC yeah this a tough cookie. However with those dboots on the 17mm adapters the car felt unbalanced especially compared to how it felt stock. I got the feeling if I kept running it with that setup it would break after a few packs. It’s back to stock wheels now. If you’re interested in the Rlaarlo rally joint and plan to take it off road not only will you need to get the sealed bearings but you’ll have to fashion something to cover the center diff. It’s hard to explain without a long explanation but a big part of it is exposed. The terminator has this issue and I’ve seen a video of the fts having this problem as well. People have made 3d printed covers that solve this issue. Still a great platform but it’s looking like it’s weakness is dirt and gravel getting into the drivetrain ✌🏼

@@Rangoli_rc Right on, I saw Omniman souped his up and had the same issues. Can't remember what wheels he was running, but yeah those Dboots seem a little too big for that rig. I kinda wanted one when it came out, but the desire pretty much faded out for the Terminator. I appreciate the heads up on all the potential issues though💯

@@timmy4539 bro I love this rc. It’s the upgrade I’m not feeling. Ima use the dboots on something else and return the terminator to the stock wheels. As far as the 17mm hex adapters there’s way too much slop. I wouldn’t recommend them.

@Rangoli_rc -rc4wd axles and rear ally differential + alloy yoke is a must! when running on 4s. I am still using plastic spur and front diff/axles about 25 packs of hard use, but after time those should be replaced with maintenance.

@ I got the metal axles and spur but ima see how long these stock ones hold up.

@@__Lucas jeeesh! Yeah man this whole situation is eye opening. I really want to be an ARRMA fan. Honestly I think I am. But I’m stepping back for at least half a year to observe them. They released so many rc’s in 2024 and they might not be done. I want to let the dust settle cause right now I feel I can’t make an educated purchase when it comes to them ✌🏼

@ no pressure man. I hate moving with a passion. It’s so discombobulating. It takes me like half a year to recover 🤦🏽‍♂️. It’s actually what gives me the most anxiety in the rc hobby. @@Chronic-strain yeah people are hip to the game. I thought hard about if they were to release another brushed rc what would it be. I bet they do a brushed 10th scale raider using the Gorgon chassis style. They’ll skimp on the quality of the body (probably just clips) to save money and make a super affordable budget rc. No more than $130. Then later they’ll give it the 223 blx treatment.🤷🏽‍♂️

I have the 6s mojave and a 4s kraton (6s too😊) Still really can not believe how much fun I have driving the Senton 3s 4x4 v3 on 3s. So much that I went and bought another one as soon as I found out they're discontinued. Also bought another Vorteks blx 4x4.❤ arrma is amazing!

@ it’s funny I was about to get a 3s Arrma a day before they dropped the news of the senton 223. Then a few days later the vortek and typhon 223. So many options I don’t know what to pick

@@muligoon152 feel the same way. Another positive I’m finding is because I did my upgrades myself I have my choice of battery and transmitter. The one knock I can throw at the 223 is that all in one esc receiver combo. Idk just trying not to get too upset with it. I love my upgraded fury and vorteks and even though Arrma is probably making bank I feel they also took a few steps back by making their loyal fans feel manipulated. Honestly I don’t know how to be a customer with them. I want to get that 3s typhon but I know as soon as I do they gonna release the 223 version. Ima step back for a year and study their business practices more ✌🏼

@ I feel you. I try to keep it 3s around my neighborhood. The kraton is too much truck. I don’t have any place I can truly open it up. I’m shopping for a good 3s Arrma tho. Can’t decide between the typhon, granite or big rock. I like that new senton also🤷🏽‍♂️

@@scaleworksRC thanks man. I actually struggle a lot with editing because I do everything on an iPad. Due to memory issues I usually have to trim my videos by 40%. This video started as a 16 minute long video but I had to trim it to 10 minutes. Had a lot more I wanted to say. O well on my next video. Thanks again bro✌🏼

I bought my fury 3 weeks ago brushed and upgraded the system… i started looking up videos the next day and I see the news that they just dropped that 223s and I was pissed all day at work the other day 😤

@@dejourx7202 I’m sorry bro. Arrma got us. I’ve learned something after posting videos about feeling manipulated / tricked into buying those brushed versions. What I learned is most if not all the most popular rc RUclipsrs will not mention how this is disrespectful to the rc community. I watched them all in unison reveal their new Fury blx or the new senton 223 within minutes of each other. They were all smiling and shouting praise about how Arrma is killing it in 2024. It’s sad . I really respect and consider myself a fan of most of them. But they bought bro. Lessons learned and there is a bright side. Our upgraded brushed versions are still very fun cars and we don’t have to deal with that 2 in 1 esc. But damn I love those blx body colors 🥲✌🏼

@@PeterAlbury-b4l yeah I’ve been trying to justify Arrma making anything brushed. I think there’s something to what you suggested. Wouldn’t doubt if there was a warehouse full of brushed motors. I wish I knew more about the cost of production between a brushed and brushless motor/esc set. Is it really a hundred $ difference?

That being said I feel like a chump after buying the brushed typhon grom, brushed fury, bushed vortek, and brushed Gorgon. I literally feel like I was swindled by a New York street hustler in a game of 3 card Monty. ✌🏼

@@Chronic-strain yup 100%. The typhon hurts the most for sure. I work very hard to buy these cars and I was about to get the brushed Mojave. Thank god I was to broke at the time. It’s a mind f#@% because I like all the brushed arrmas I’ve bought. I really love the Gorgon. The vortek was actually super fun. The fury stings a little because it was way too slow brushed but I still found fun with it. I said this in another comment but I feel like I was swindled by a new York street hustler doing 3 card Monty. Ima step back and study arrmas sales strategies for a few months (maybe a year) before getting another one of their rc’s✌🏼

I hear you man, defo feels like a shady move and I also will be watching them, its put me off them a bit tbh. I got a rllarlo omni terminator carbon edition and i have to say, its quickly becoming my favourite truck, they are releasing a rally car and a buggy, defo worth checking out, they will be running arrma and traxxas very close in the not too distant future. I have lost trust in Arrma cos in my head, they were not like traxxas and were the competition to traxxas, now like traxxas, they are too big to give a f&@k about the little consumer? This is not how you treat customers or retain them. Check out Rllarlo man!

@@Rangoli_rc Yeah I hear ya.. I love my Fazer and it's brushed, so there's definitely a place for them & they run great if tuned right. I think your point about Rlaarlo at the end pretty much summed it up. They provide more options and listen to their customer base.

Yeah these wheels and tires might be the best bang for your buck set on Amazon. The rims are pretty durable and the tires have good traction but enough give under power to hit a drift. I just checked Rlaarlo’s site and they sell the purple ones with the wheel hex and nuts as a combo for $13.99. Maybe eBay has different colors.✌🏼

i've looked for the same thing, the mjx 1430x wheels come with them in red, they look much like a button but with one hole
