    Hoping you still check your comments :P What do i do if I create a template like you did in section "How to create a new Item Template" and can see in the project setting that it exists, but still can't see it when I go the same route as you did 1:30? Seems to me like there is a permission of some sorts i'm missing to be able to view that template and i'm hoping you could help me solve that :)

      The best approach here is to create your one DevOps Organisation to test things out... You can also ask your DevOps Admin if they can see it to confirm that it's a permission issue.

    The challenge I face with having "In DEV", "In UAT" , "In Test" States is that the Story is not marked complete in these states even though development is complete. As a result the progress of the User Story does not show as 100% / complete at the Feature level. Moreover these User Stories will remain in these "In Progress" state until production deployment is complete. In most of our cases, production deployment takes place several weeks or even a month after the User Story development is complete and it's messy to still see these User Stories in "In UAT" type states during such periods. What I'd like is to have the User Story be considered complete when development and testing in the development environment is complete, but separately track the deployment of these user stories to UST, TEST etc environments. Do you have a recommendation?

    What would be your suggested set-up/Usage of Work Items for a data analytics/reporting type team? We do not really typically develop anything as complex as software, it is mostly creating views/stored procedures to get the data needed for a request, and reports to display said data. In my head I keep going back and forth between Epics and User Stories, and I think I am just at a point of analysis paralysis.

    • @danikahil
      @danikahil 3 дня назад

      Start as simple as possible, so I would recommend you use start with User Stories first. If you need more granularity, you can then use "Tasks" to decompose your User Stories. And then "Features" to group them into larger items...

    I am loving your videos so far. I've just started a new role as a D365 CRM Manager and we have kicked off a large project to implement Omnichannel and Customer Services Workspace. Out of business workshops we have a very large excel spreadsheet full of requirements and now we are going through and trying to turn those requirements into a backlog in Azure DevOps. Figuring out what the epics and features are going to be and then getting the user stories done. All hard work as I and no-one in my team has done the sort of BA type work before (we are all technical Devs). So your videos are helping me get into the frame of mind on how I am going to build a backlog in DevOps. Then after that it is figuring out how to plan sprints 😂

    Hi @Dani, thanks for your video!! I'm suffering on this operation, and trying to trouble shoot, noticed at ruclips.net/video/psNk0DT7lz8/видео.html, when you opened the downloaded csv from DevOps, have you convert the csv to remove the commas? how could you open the csv file in such a table view? In my case, when I open the csv downloaded from devops, it needs to be converted in order to show them in table, I then added other data from other excel, then when I import to devops the format is not the same and devops keep on complaining comma is missing in line or column even my file name remains csv... any suggestions? I tried to save the file to other csv format but still without success. :{

I'd really love to see more about how individual team members manage the user stories assigned to them, how tasks are used and managed, etc. For example, what are my interaction points with ADO throughout the day as I work on a particular user story?
