This is awesome bro Best of luck!
Thank you for your quick response. That amazing..I have been playing for 5 years and I'm stuck around 450 rating...I have trouble with serve returns and FH loops but my back hand is strong..I am considering to consider short pips on my FH.By the way I use ZLC or my forehand and ALC on my backhand carbon blade.my forehand rubber is stiga DNA pro and backhand rubber is Rasantor R42...appreciate yiur feed back on this sticky situation.tks
@iqmicro I haven't seen you play, so I don't know why your fh loop is not as strong as your bh. I can't recommend anything if we haven't played.
blue shirt guy with the 3cm serve toss
Thank you for the info ..where did u get trained.tks
@iqmicro Are you asking if I was trained by a paid personal coach? No, I wasn't. I played in community centres for many years. Techniques, I watched and talked with others. For matches, I played a lot against different styles. I haven't practiced drills for many years now, which is why my footwork is not as good. Before, I played a lot of soccer/football and stopped because table tennis was more challenging.
well played . you were clearly the more complete player. your opponent was mostly relying on a deceptive serve and a strong forehand, but you overcame this very early in the match
He was relying on foot stomping!
Hello ZAK...I had come yesterday to play for the tournament at harmony table tennis.I had seen you while the presentation ceremony .i like the style you play.which rubbers and blade do you use? tks
@iqmicro I am currently using Viscaria with Dignics 09c and Dignics 05. I was using Viscaria with Hurricane 3 neo 39 and 37. I also used a few different combinations.
But my dignics 05 is already chipped. I need to find cheaper rubbers if it will chip this easy.
Chipping is for sure not a big deal. I think youd like Fastarc G-1 for your style. Its also a rubber with a lot of longevity. @@ZakriaTT
@weareprayingforthelost I have used fastarc G1 a few times, but it also chips at the edges. It also domes and shrinks if you remove it.
@@weareprayingforthelost When you get to semi and final. The umpires check your racket. They complain about the chips.
Người ta đánh hư có cần phải clap , la lớn vậy kg?? Seem Desperate thế
I personally like no clapping.
This ur hard service is easy to ur opponent, so u would’ve changed to another one
I heard zak recently won at "Heron park community center" both singles and doubles. He beat every one i heard didnt loose a single match
Hey Zakria, met you yesterday at CCTTA (I'm the white guy with the beard). Did you play at Heron Park on 3 different days, or how many days? I'm curious if you found the floor the same level of dustiness each day or if any day was noticeably better or worse, because I feel like Heron Park is managed poorly, and even for a tournament seems they didn't do anything particular to improve the conditions (ie. just another day slacking off). Players shouldn't have to feel the need to use a damp cloth to regularly clean their shoes, and I wrote to the city about it the facility in general, but the city hasn't responded yet. But yeah, this is where I frequently go for table tennis as it's the closest location to my home address and still one of, if not the best places for table tennis in a community center in Toronto. Did you know in the summer they put 20 tables and 2 pickleball courts up in the hockey arena for about half the day every day of the week in the summer?
@ChristopherMartin-ct9xg I played for 3 days. I didn't notice a change in the slipperyness of the floor. The soles of my shoes are almost worn out under the balls of my feet. I need to buy new shoes. I played in the hockey rink a few years ago during summer.
@@ZakriaTT Oh, well worn out shoes definitely would be different, but I have new shoes and they consistently accumulate a layer of dust on them pretty much every time I attend Heron Park's drop-in, meaning it's so common to slip and slide there, it's more like a feature (clay-court table tennis), but the manager assures me with his words that the gym is cleaned regularly. Also, the staff are supposed to clean the tables at the end of every drop-in session, but they don't, and even looked bewildered when I asked them why they aren't cleaning the tables. The staff girl with the long braids expressed she isn't paid enough to do it. Were the tables clean for the tournament? I attended the drop-in the Sunday after the tournament and didn't seem like they had been cleaned, so I'm guessing no. Seems also, they didn't even try to level the tables either, as at one moment of I forget now which video you uploaded from the tournament but not in this particular video, I noticed when a ball was placed on one side, it rolled on it's own towards the net. Weird place that Heron Park. I tried asking if I could volunteer to clean up the tables, but I was discouraged by the manager, informing me it was the staff's job and that they would do it, though they haven't, and probably never will.
Crystal uses short pips or medium pips on her FH.
im almost certain that its short pips shes using based on how she is able to hit the ball and also how you are able to receive her forehand.
Wow Shes good
She has represented canada in the past and had a great fight with sun yingsha!
You moved on from Hurricane? Which one are you using now?
@@DragonWarrior976 Yes. Currently, I am using: Viscaria Fl Dignics 09c black Dignics 05 red
@ Ya, makes sense. Lot of players who play more tournaments and are rated at around 2100+ USATT use Dignics.
this kid is real good
It's a bit obvious that your biggest impediment to improvement now is probably high level coaching and training.
The opponent is a few levels above Zak and eventually won the event. It is normal for a player to look relaxed when playing someone a few levela below them and to be more stressed out of trying to fight the uphill battle that Zak is fighting. Zak played really well.
@@nextlvlng yes, I agree with your assessment, I’ve been there before, there is no question that it is difficult to relax when you’re stressed by a higher level player. I find it starts with trying to slow down the game which allows you to play with more emphasis on control by only thinking about one point at a time. I cheer for Zak and wish him the best TT progress in future.
What blade do you use Zakria?
@indigores7423 Currently, I am using: Butterfly Viscaria Dignics 09c black Dignics 05 red I have been changing a lot.
Zak, review the game, I see a more relaxed opponent with a little more control, when you learn to relax a bit more, your control will improve for more winners. Keep up the good play and you will be fine

Zak did you win this match ??
@@gurpreetmann6629 Yes
hi zakria, why did your rating drop from 2200 to 1990? sorry
@cl4shacc123 My ttcan rating is 1990. My usatt rating is 2170. In the usatt rating system, if you do good in one tournament and win higher rated players, your rating gets adjusted. It can jump from 500 to 2000 after one tournament. In the ttcan system, you can't jump like that. Instead, you get incremental points for each win, and it will take many tournaments to reach 2000 (unless it is your first few tournaments and you have temporary rating). If you are interested in the details of how it is calculated, I can provide the links. I am not sure if my comment will be published with links.
who's who?
@yinyangthang I am wearing blue shirt and butterfly shorts. Sean is my doubles partner. Chris is left hander and is wearing a red shirt. Jay is wearing a black shirt.
Good win, good patience, good control, you had an answer for all his attitude antics, you kept the pressure on when he was off his game ✅
Haven't watched you for a while, but you've really improved a lot. In all areas. Keep up the good work 💪
@oxtt4314 Thanks
Great job Zakria. How did your opponent even got to the final without footwork and even without shorts on😅?
His serves are difficult. He follows up with tricky pushes that change the spin coming back to opponent (like mine), followed by smash.
Come on, man. The results was 3:2, it's not like Zakria beat him 11:2 in every game.
He's actually using a lot of footwork especially for his age but is making it look effortlessly since he's not taking big steps. He's taking lots of small micro steps to constantly adjust and reset his position. He's definitely a strong player and has been trained most likely as kid when he was younger.
Definately very close. You just need to prepare a couple more strokes in your attack you should have a chance to win.
@jwxujerry I get surprised when I make a good shot or when he returns them. I am using Nittaku G1 here.
@@ZakriaTT I heard about the rubber. Sounds like a good one. I have been using Dignics 09C. Lots of power but harder to control when blocking. Still much better than T05 for me.
@jwxujerry I just used new H3neo 39 and 37 in Joola NA Teams, but I lost all confidence. My older H3neo rubbers were bouncier. A few days ago, I glued D09c and D05 on a new Viscaria. Don't know if I should use D05 on both sides or D09c on FH.
@@ZakriaTT I tried both and D05 is too bouncy for me. So I am actually using D09c for both BH and FH because I like the extra dwell time. I used to use 729 which is sticky so I am used to it. D05 can be good if you can control the speed. For me it's hard to control
First morning matches of day 3. Players are still sleepy.
First morning matches of day 3. Players are still sleepy.
good
You got good instincts about where the ball is going and good eyes for it. I think that if you manage to develope your counterloop more you'd be even stronger. For example i think vs this guy if you had more confidence in your counterlooping you could have baited him into throwing you a spinny but kinda slow loop and then you take control. When people block too much the other person gets the rythm and will make less mistakes.
I didn't prepare for this tournament. I glued on my new unboosted H3neo 39 and 37, but it is slow and different than my old boosted H3neo and 37. I bought new Viscaria and D09c and D05, but I didn't take it with me. I am getting surprised by the bounce and slower spin and speed. Any ball going to my FH is an easy point for the opponent. Should have just stayed close and tried to counter loop. Have to improve some technical areas.
Very nice of you letting the kid play his best.
You lack power. I dont know how to fix it, maybe involve your body and legs more in your swings, but thats the biggest weakness ive noticed. Your spins dont seem lethal
@@CarlosSanchez-ux2oe Yes. I am mostly swinging my arm.
@@ZakriaTT It's mostly weight lifting, especially squats, that is required.
"Your spins dont seem lethal" This is the funniest thing I've heard all day
Lack power: have you ever played against Zak? Bet you he make you run for your money 😂
@@gurpreetmann6629 All such statements are relative. Sometimes it is the ignorance of the commenter but sometimes it is relative playing level.
Zakria, you need a training partner/coach type of guy to partner with so that you can coach each other during games because they can bring something you can't see clearly while you play.
@@jwxujerry Absolutely. Alex had his brother.
Was the dude bored or just his schtick? 🤔
@JonathanAdams-z8r He plays like that. It is a little annoying. But their team was up 4-2. If he tries to play harder, I can get him to make more mistakes.
Interesting
Hi Zakria, not sure if you remember me, but I'm the Asian guy visited UoT like 9 years ago. We used to play together quite a lot, few times at the CCTTA, but mostly at a community center that I don't quite remember the name. Anyway, nice to see you're still playing and playing really well. Your game has improved quite a lot, mate.
@doralikesmath8477 What is your name? The community centre's name is Matty Eckler/Pape? Do you have a link to your video?
@@ZakriaTT Yeah, the center name is probably Matty Eckler judging from the images I found on Google. We chatted quite a bit back then on Facebook after I got back to the UK. Iirc, I was playing with a Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Special with MX-P on both sides if that rings a bell :D I don't wanna give up my personal information to the web here, unfortunately :(
@doralikesmath8477 I now remember you from your racket. Haha. Your bh flicks to my FH.
Matthew's right shoulder was injured.
@Zakria, have you ever played at the recreation centre in Trinity Bellwoods Toronto?

Thanks Zakria. you are always able to find way beat that guy-Jack
Congratulations on reaching 2000 rating.
@@ZakriaTT Thanks

Thank you for the great video. 9:00 Trying to lob at 2-10. Really? :) 20:32 Priceless! 25:28 Looks like he threw the paddle. Calmness and confidence won the match
大妈水平还行啊
If you see someone's using Saviga V OX, 99% of the chances that the rubber is the treated version.😂
@@henryli1344 Yes, but it is easier since I know if I push heavy underspin, it will be topspin. With grippy long pimples, it could be no spin.
the no-spin happens on any long pip not just the grippy - if the motion is direct into the ball (flat contact). If the motion against the ball is sheering (regardless of direction) then the spin is "reversed" (ofc we know the ball just keeps spinning the way it came, and it's actually the inverted rubbers that reverse the spin, but yeah)
@@dbweb.creative I don't think frictionless pips can make nospin from heavy underspin.
long pips are not fun
