On TAPE - Synths making ambient too (UDO Super 6 + Digitone)
This kind of music is usually limited to modular euroracks and I've never seen a keyboard synth like UDO Super 6 making random bleeps and bloops and I decided to use it for that, next to my Digitone.
All sequenced by Oxi One and processed by @WeAreElektron #analogheat +FX and @OTOMACHINES #BAM reverb.
The key difference this time is the use of REAL TAPE for the recording. All was recorded on real tape using my old/new TASCAM PortaStudio 414 MKII. I sold my lovely ChaseBliss Generation Loss MKII and I decided to buy this tape recorded on eBay. Great multitrack mixer and tape recorder, with pitch modulation for lo-fi goodness. First time for me, but so satisfying.

Hi! it was a custom one for sure because the oscillator was a digital called SouPEr from hammondeggsmusic.ca but the patch was created by me using this osc.

Very nice! I used a little Tascam Porta Ministudio 05 having one synthesizer in the early 2000s to record beats for live performances.

I love these tape characteristics. I'm getting more into this sonic territory myself. How do you like the Analog Heat + FX? I got mine yesterday and my first impression is quite good. Hope its not a one trick pony for me.
Anything you pass through Analog Heat +FX take body and analog warmth. It seems to be not the most creative effect but it works great for single tracks and final chain. I’m really happy.

Congrats on your purchase. This is some monster crushing other reverbs, sounds amazing.
I'm not so happy after some days. I have to test it hardly to decide. Very lush and washy, let's see how it works with other strong synths like my Matriarch and Super 6 (both have delays but not reverbs, that's why I'm looking for the pedal for the synth ;)

wonderful upload.............killer verb tones, and it's also incredibly rare to see someone 'play' an Elektron piece of gear.....everyone seems to just do videos with sequenced tracks (I know it's limited as a performance instrument, but it's good to witness)....................no such thing as too much reverb........

I don't understand the reasoning when it does everything you want it to and you know how to use it well. Seems like a smarter option wouldve been to purchase peripherals.
The depth and low end of any of my other synths reminds me not all synths have the sound you want. I wanted to have them all, but after this farewell i felt in piece of this change. Changing is always good to be fresh and available for new things.

Why would anyone give up their "most beloved synth for all times" when it's so small and worth so little money? I can guarantee in 5 or 10 years time you'll be back in the market to get another one.
That’s probably but I wanted to give the opportunities to more alternatives and I need focus.
I’m about to sell my A4 to get a Super 6 but this is making me reconsider!
I have both and they are so different. A4 is a machine to make play, sequence, combine tracks… and Super 6 is an instrument by itself, you can play, arp… Different approaches. A4 has a very particular sound. It will never has the sound power of a Super 6, but it sparks when you combine it with an fx box like OTOs, Analog Heat or just a good preamp.
@@music4screens Thank you for the reply, I love the A4 so much in terms of its capabilities and fun of having one box that can do so much. Super 6 is my first hardware polysynth. I think right answer is to just have both!
What I do is store some of them during my focus on learning and practicing with each synth. Sometimes I have some of them around my desk to combine them and discover new horizons, but they are usually stored till I decide to be focused on each one.
