The author figured out that Dan 9:25 was prophesying about the date of the Triumphal Entry, hence Christ's calling them accountable in Luke 19:41-44 for not knowing the time of their visitation. Conversely Hoses 5:15-6:3 is prophesying the date of Israel's reconciliation with Messiah, and it's "two days" after the smiting of Aug 6 (some say 8) of 70AD, the destruction of the 2nd temple. By the way, the Obadiah war comes before Dan 9:27.

Jesus went to the cross, fulfilled the kinsman’s redemption and in the Bible typology, Jesus became your uncle and your cousin. Therefore, he fulfilled it as the close relative. He was able to beat up all of your enemies, and with his blood, he was able to pay the price to buy you back out of sin. In Acts 20:28, we are blood - brought, in Revelation 1:5, we are blood - washed, and in 1 John 1:7, we are blood covered. We are brought, washed, and covered by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and his wonderful, extraordinary, supernatural birth made it possible for Jesus to have that blood.
