Can these be worn out casually with socks on?

I love mine. Most shoes kill my knees hips and back pretty quick. great for a pack, taking about as much space as flip flops but way more stable, protecting, and acceptable in public with city clothes. I fiddled with the laces a bit (leaving bottom 2 laces extra loose a while) and got rid of the "ball pinch" issue. If you like feeling barefoot, they are great without the insoles.

Just checking in after a few more months of use. It's still handling well. I made a stupid mistake when I was overconfident in the rapids and got the kayak pinned to a rock. I'm genuinely impressed because 1) the buckles held in some pretty crazy current and kept the boat in one piece instead of breaking it into two pieces. 2) the rock it pinned on was very sharp but it failed to pierce the bottom. No leaks!
