Project Cars BMW Z4 Live Capture from Trackside Cam
Просмотров 8211 лет назад
Requested Video for gogoger. FRAPS Capture of live driving but with trackside camera views, to compare with replay trackside camera view. The biggest difference I've noticed is live view shows tyre deformation. Apologies for the bad driving. It's very difficult to drive a car from Trackside camera view.

Awesome vid! Thank you
A very creative solution indeed! I'll probably be building one of these in the near future. Thank you!
Very cool build! Simple, straightforward, and affordable. Nice work!
You fixed a problem i was having with space inside the handbrake, thank mate
thanks for telling me to buy the wrong screwdrivers
No one seems to know about arcade boards, very cheep can connect like 20 buttons to and has 5v output if you want leds, 1 board you could make a 8 button H pattern shifter or even a 18 button H pattern shifter for truck sims and a click style E-brake, not pedals tho they don't do Potentiometers, no need to hack a game controller.
While the boards aren't wired for it, many of the chips support analog input, and even use those analog inputs to sample the digital joystick inputs, with some resistors to bias to center. It's a straightforward mod to attach a throttle or analog joystick to those inputs too. Then again, if you can mod an arcade board for analog input, why not use a microcontroller board with analog inputs in the first place, and a completely arbitrary amount of digital I/O?
No need to remove the second set of 4 smaller phillips screws @ 4:17 at this stage. Latter only the top pair that hold the main board chassis need to come off.
Is doing this void warranty of the wheel?
Thanks for your video, you help me to make from two not working headsets make one fully working :D btw, how to disassembly straps? it's there a option to do it without damage parts?
Hey, this is a very nice teardown. Learned alot here. I've been having this issue with my CV1 where one eye flashes red horizontal lines and white noise. And if the headset left for too long - one of the lenses goes red or green or yellow tint (seems random). Can the latter part be simple overheating? Mby you can suggest something about the first part of the issue too?
Does the whole electronic piece disconnect from wheel by any chance?
Thanks for the detailed video! For people who meet the same issue as mine: IPD software reading won't change anymore, whatever we change the headset IPD slider. You may find out what's going on with the slider switch at 6:48. There's no need to dissemble any further. Mine was not able to be fixed because the switch was broken. But I can use a tweezer to move it to somewhere that fits my 68mm IPD. It's okay as long as I only use my CV1 by myself.
How many kilograms of traction is the magnet?
I think you're retarded doing this vid, giving no informations.
Wat is the fucking lenght of the rod, and the size of the spring !!!
We need some serious question. What is the lenght of the Rod, and what sizde are the srpings ?
what is the lenght of the rod, the lenght diamater and strenght of the spring ?
You tutorial isn't complete. Missing alot of infos.... You might just add a txt file, with the right length of the stuff, what diameter spring we should use and stuff....
Very Nice ! Thx
sorry dude this is one of the worst tutorials ive ever seen
Can't thank this random asmr oculus repair man. Now I can finally replace my head strap
Fockulus has done a great job again, like Micro$oft and Lenovo to make our DIY job as hard as possible. All part of the consumer model - good on you Carlos :-)
Nice job and great video 👍
My open wheel add on right shifter just started not shifting or double shifting. How do I fix this?
why end it before you get the clips off yet show 4 minutes of actual nothing, just keep in the entire thing???
Apologies for the quality of the video. To be honest, this was a lazy upload of me figuring out how to fix my broken rift, 4 years ago. At the time there were no other videos so that's why I did my own. Surely by now there's plenty of other better quality teardowns?
What size is the threaded rod?
So 🐌
I'm back: I followed your video step by step. Remembering, my problem was: the left lens would turn off intermittently during use. Ok when disconnecting the flat cable of the presence sensor I noticed that one of the paths on the board was broken. no chance of soldering, so I disabled the sensor, reassembled without it, and it's working. I just have to take care to turn off the USB when not using it. Thanks for the video again
Hello CARlos, what is the reason why you dismantled your RIFT. I was watching and following the steps, My problem is that the left side stopped working after 1 year of bad contact. I pressed it and it came back, today it stopped, I thought it could be a solder, but when I put it on the USB, there is no sign (it is still disassembled.)
This is great, I built one of my own design but I've been unhappy with it. Mainly because it doesn't provide a satisfying "ker-lunk" feel as I change gears. I assume a REAL sequential shift lever would have this feel- I welcome feedback from anyone who has used a real one. It doesn't look like yours does either, but I am going to model my new one on this, and figure out a means to get the "ker-lunk" sensation.
Did you find a good solution for the kelunk? 😅 I'm interested in the same project right now
Hey man if u want that ker-klunk feeling 😂 go to Ur local wreckers an find an automatic car preferably an older car an pull the gear selector out an build on to that easy as an u get Ur ker-klunk haha
December 2021 and the magnets are not available now?
all is great!
Look, I don’t know why this method works, but I put mine in the freezer for 3 hours and it’s been working for a week
i like to know what size the bold are? m8 or m10
Should M8 i have the same one but as a handbrake
Ok that's fine, but i already build two of them and they are working just fine. Thanxs for your initial instructions.
Great Job! keep it up!
heey what strenght are these magnets? link is gone. thnx!!
Thanks for share! Greetins from Argentina!
Nicely done and easy enough to do with simple tools. You've got me inspired that I might try this myself.
you give no info about that aliexpress i bought, no nlenght, and spring lengut and force, BS
These are great videos, i have smudge on the inside of the lenses. Some day when i get bored of the crappy visual i will tear them down.
fuck i shouldnt have thrown away my old xbox controller
Nice tutorial. I want to make this for my sim racing build. Can you share how this will work with a steering wheel and pedal setup? How will I assign the buttons for the shifter if I have another device such as a steering wheel and pedal being used as the controller? Thanks
for the handbrake just assign the conttoller button to the handbrake
@@SkuxxMcMuffin69 OK. So eventhough I have a steering wheel like a G920 as the controller, I can plug in the diy hand brake at the same time and within the remapping buttons in the game, it will detect that reassignment? Thanks
@@highsiderider Yes, you should be able to its the same thing with having a webcam, mouse, keyboard, and headphones in, under the game your playing there should be a handbrake assignment just use the handbrake connected to the external controller and it should work :)
Thanks for these videos. They've been a great help. There's no need to take out the second 4 screws in this video.
The link to the magnets is no longer valid. Do you know what the pull of the magnet is in Kg? I found some 40x20x10mm 21kg ones, but they’re expensive and I want to make sure they’ll be ok.
Thanks for the informative video. I have an issue with one screen not working with only a line of pixilation working at the bottom of the faulty screen. Still trying to work out if it’s a board problem or the connector for that screen partially unpinned from the board. It helps to see what it looks like inside.
I cover my lenses with Vinyl Low Stick Tape when putting a screwdriver anywhere near them! To easy to slip. If you do, THRILLSEEKER found this Magic Stuff that ACTUALLY BRINGS LENSES BACK TO PERFECT, It is friggin magic, Works on CD's, Sunglasses, I did my old Gear VR lenses earlier (giving it to my Nephew) and they look like NEW! Stuff called: POLYWatch (for plastic origin watch crystals originally) on Amazon and itxs only like $6.00 I have tried everything for 30+ years, nothing ever came close to working, this ERASES TIME on lenses! (eliminates swirls 100% small and medium scratches 100% and absolutely mitigates larger scratches, imoroving with every coat and MicroFiber Rub Down (with pressure) OR ask Amazon for POLISHING DRILL BITS! For another $7.00 you can have high speed polishing tool if you have a Drill!
Another Pro Tip, when reaching in to try to unhook the Lens Tabs, use a CHIP EXTRACTOR TOOL (Like Tweezers or Mini Salad Tongs, but with a little flat metal 'L' shape pointing inward on the business end of each 'Tong', that really helps PULL small tabs (and inner tops of 'unopenable' Cologne bottles etc) towards you with solid control and power. Open the tool fully so you can use just one end. With the metal 'L' pointing downward, place one end of the tool in the opened area and the L slightly behind the Tab and pull towards you gently, it will open right up!
JESUS FLAILING ON A STICK: HE REALLY IS AVOIDING HIS LENS WITH THE FLASHLIGHT... _THE WARNING IS ABOUT EXTENDED EXPOSURE TO THE SUN YOU GNAT!!!_ HOWCOULD A MODERN HUMAN ever think a flashlight could be magnified enough to do damage to an LCD screen like THE SUN... (Even in the SUN it would have to be LEFT THERE for 10 minutes for heat to ACCUMULATE, EVER FELT HEAT FROM A FLASHLIGHT?) As the President Elect says: _"COME ON MAN,..."_ I'm sorry to come off as a prick, but enough is enough at some point. No one has the RIGHT be that ignorant in 2021. Damnit. People like that are why we could watch a 1/4 mile tall building fall INTO IT'S OWN FOOTPRINT at TERMINAL VELOCITY BECAUSE OF A FIRE ON UPPER FLOORS. IT IS SO MUCH WORSE NOW 20 YEARS LATER.. NO ONE HAS ANY SCIENCE TRAINING THESE DAYS. No wonder people can doubt masks TODAY, somehow, even though we know Humans knew about their effectiveness THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO, We have seen carvings, artwork and remnant suggestions of Mask Use in Ancient Times, when they did brain surgery ('Trepination' = relieving pressure on a swelling brain by draining fluid buildup)., There is clear evidence of this. Today a contingent of IDIOTS would march into the Operating Room and COUGH INTO THE OPEN WOUND to prove Bacteria doesn't exist or that Masks are ineffective!! Sorry, buddy. I really am usually a very nice guy,... It was the wrong day for me to see someone be unfamiliar with the basic laws of nature and its extremes (or lack thereof) as to think an INCANDESCENT FLASHLIGHT BULB can be magnified enough to damage anything (even TISSUE PAPER)
I told my Doctor "It hurts when I flex my CV1 like that". His advice was: "Then don't flex your CV1 like that!"
why do you have to cut the damn video in little bits? Its painful to deal with
this was made back when RUclips limited most folks to 10 minute videos. There where a few large channels that got exceptions, but not many. That's why it's broken up that way.
