I haven't. I did play through the (kinda buggy) Lugaru campaign that got added to OG, though I'm not sure how similar it is to the original.

+Rakov Aetherus It's very different from the original. The remake has better sounding dialogue than the original (which had a few silly lines, especially early on), but there were a lot of needless changes to the plot, and some rather important subtext was removed. For starters; Willow was originally a _guy_ named Jack who had a completely different personality and motivation, and Skipper wasn't killed off in the original game: he was the one who made Turner aware of the larger conspiracy in the first place. Also, Turner had a definite warrior streak: the armor he took from Aspen was originally his own personal armor... that isn't even mentioned in the remake. The gameplay is faster, and Turner's fighting style was very different - much more Kung-Fu than kickboxing, and there is a much greater emphasis on running, dodging and reversing instead of blocking. There is also a lot more emphasis on Turner's rabbit-ness: in _Lugaru,_ he can run on all fours for more speed. Yeesh, it was totally different! I do hope that the Lugaru campaign in OG gets more touch-ups, because I didn't retain a whole lot out of it character/plot-wise besides the main stuff. That and the levels are pretty bland (giant square stones poking out of terrain haphazardly). The game has so much potential, though; and I hope that as it gets more updates, the community develops more content.

Rakov Aetherus To be fair, the level design was like that in _Lugaru_ for technical reasons. That said, the fact that they stayed authentic to the level design and _not_ the plot in the remake is rather distressing to me. I think a better idea would have been to replace the original levels completely, upgrade the original dialogue (keeping to the same general themes) and add more context to make the plot more interesting than it originally was. For example: the giant stone pillar in the first area could be redesigned a still-standing concrete wall from a fallen human building. Couldn't agree more. The screenshots on David's twitter show promise on what the game can look like, given some good polish.

I try not to, it's mostly by accident from trying to strafe around the enemies.

I appreciate the compliment, and admittedly, there are weapons I'm not great at, but throwing them all the time doesn't really improve my skill with them, so I practice until they make sense. The tutorial does a pretty decent job of explaining how the different moves work.

I'd love to play more with mods, but most of them seem to rely on content that's missing from the game or no longer compatible :/
