Join forager Josh Quick, who takes us on a fascinating journey in Hungry for Change to meet people all over Cornwall working to help us 'do food better' as the climate changes - from the gleaners picking ‘waste’ crops in our fields to projects growing food in unusua...

What happened to the Wavehub? Tens of millions wasted?
It's actually been resurrected as a power socket to bring the power ashore from the first trial phase of the offshore wind development
@@clairewallerstein7860 a pretty monumental waste then, worth a try tho.
If you would like a balanced view on climate change and fossil fuels, without adverts, then I'd point you in the direction of Fossil Future by Alex Epstein
Basically this supports the motion that privatisation doesn’t work. Also if this tired and clapped out country wants to move forward, it needs to adopt the land strategy it imposed on Singapore while under colonial rule. Where the crown owns all land and people rent space from the crown. That way new green developments can be forced through and reduce house prices at the same time.
One thing manufacture concrete when barns Als and coral grow on anything that’s solid such as old demolished concrete blocks etc..? Reuse for more sustainable use for our ecosystems 🕊🌏😇
The non native oyster problem is not only Cornwall there taking over are bait digging beds round the south coast if they have a use they need to start doing it soon
really interesting and informative video, very well made, thank you
Another great film. Keep it up
Fantastic video. Very informative. Keep up the good work. Thank you.
We all need to learn about natural ways to live thank you.
Stopped watching after a few mins because the people represented in the doc. have failed to realise that CO2 is not the driver of any warming (or cooling) of the planet.
if you watch the rest you'll see they talk about methane and nitroxide being much more damaging
A desperate attempt to blame fish stocks on man made climate change . What a load of crap . Nothing ever stays the same . It looks to me like 'quotas' are the problem here ,not the weather . Project fear .
Please don’t fall for the climate rubbish it’s not climate change it’s different weather patterns that have always been there it’s colder in cornwall than years ago
Ssshhh!! Stop talking sense .
Excellent very informative, if you eat seafood watch this
Well worth watching, very informative
Amazing video great points raised. I wish more people would see this
Outstanding video!! This channel needs SMZeus!!
Brilliant 💪🏼
Thank you.
Leave the commercial fishing man alone
That's what's wrong with everything people sticking their f****** nose in everybody's business
See those idiots wasting milk. Sinful. Especially when there is no climate breakdown. Globally the ACE index (accumulated cyclone energy) 1980-2021 shows no increasing trend. Global Hurricane Landfalls 1970-2021 (updated from Weinkle et al, 2012) shows no trend. Satellite data since 1980 shows a slight downward global trend for total hurricaine numbers with 2021 being a record low year. The IPCC reports in AR6, chapter 11, "The total global frequency of TC [tropical cyclone] formation will decrease or remain unchanged with increasing global warming (medium confidence)." Multidecadal variability in Atlantic hurricaines is most probably related to the AMO (Vecchi et al, 2021). NOAA data 1851-2021 shows no trend in number of hurricaine landfalls with the record high being 1886. What the data from NOAA SPC shows about tornados: EF1-EF5 (1954-2022) no trend; EF3-EF5 (most destructive) (1954-2022) 50% decline. No EF5s in US since 2013 (a record absence). The Global Land Precipitation Anomaly from AR5 will disappoint with deviations from the average increasing by 0.2% per decade, but if you look at the actual data, it's just very variable over the decades. Drought appears to be decreasing globally (Watts et al, 2018) measured by SPI 1901-2017. For every million people on earth, annual deaths from climate-related causes (extreme temperature, drought, flood, storms, wildfires) declined 98%--from an average of 247 per year during the 1920s to 2.5 in per year during the 2010s. Data on disaster deaths come from (EM-DAT, CRED / UCLouvain, Brussels,Belgium. ) Globally 2000-2019 there was a large decrease in cold-related deaths and a moderate increase in heat-related deaths (Zhao, 2021, Lancet). However, coldwaves are over 9 times more likely to kill than heatwaves, so the overall result is very beneficial. What else? Oh, deserts like the Sahara have shrunk considerably and the Earth has greened by 15% or more in a human lifetime (NASA). On extinction the rate is very low: 900 known lost species for 2.1 million known species in 500 years. At that frequency it will take over 930,000 years to reach 80% extinction of species experienced at the K-T boundary that saw the extinction of the dinosaurs. There is no climate crisis.
HAPPENING IN YOUR FACES And the world leaders watch and SHELL AND BP AND THE BANKS GET RICHER
Key point ...the stock love extra forage from trees and hedgerows therefore happier healthier animals which means healthy food. Animal welfare so important and less drugs. Can hardly bare to look at those pigs being kept in cages, APPALLING
Great video and good topics covered. I have heard about using pea protein as a replacement for soya based protein.
Really informative, though-provoking film. I love how you always incorporate solutions to the problems raised in all your films. I look forward to the next one.
Great film - real useful and positive, interesting and informative.
Watch and learn interesting stuff
Thank you so much for this informative and interesting insightful film Government is too tied to greedy share holders such as shell and bp Soil is our best hope This really needs wide spread engagement PEAT is an excellent example of storage
As a veg and grass only fed beef farmer I would love to know how to farm vegetables more regeneratively. I know Charles Dowding does it on a small scale but what can we do on larger scale?
Hi Richard, sure you know Iain Tolhurst who farms about 20 acres with no chemical inputs or animals? www.tolhurstorganic.co.uk/ On a much larger scale, we understand that really huge growers like Riviera and Southern English have also made big changes over recent years - still using chemicals, but drastically less through companion planting, cover cropping, etc.
Brilliant you are looking @ farming. VERY much looking forward to seeing it.
So excited for this one to launch.
Thank you for making such an intelligent and well made film. Should be compulsory viewing for all who care about the Earth.
That’s such bollocks I’m a real commercial fisherman the stocks are on there arse because there getting rapped by every other nation in the channel you sound so Cornish prick 🖕
You’re not a fisherman’s asshole if you use a net
Really great video! Love it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
We used to catch a lot of wahoo, mahi, marlin and tuna in the 80s. It’s not like that anymore because of climate changing. Even our coral reefs are dying…. This is world wide. The Dutch Caribbean.
so good again. Learnt a lot. thank you very much
Happy to hear that!
Great film!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :-)
thanks for recording the Q & A. I had meant to watch it live, but a flat tyre made me late, so it was good to catch the film and discussion afterwards
Another great film. Well done.
Thanks for the support Jocelyn!
MIS-INFORMATION: Climate change is NOT eroding these cliffs, its not even a real thing. The cliffs which are mostly made from granite are being very slowly eroded by the action of the sea, tides and the kinetic energy from the waves over many centuries.
Looking forward to the full film guys well done
Thanks for contributing your beautiful footage Ben 🙂
So honoured and delighted to have my music featured in this trailer! Huge huge thanks!
The beautiful sound track really helps to make it... Thanks so much Sarah!

Great film - very honoured to see this on the big screen! x
Brilliant video! This needs so many more views!!
The earth is changing and the fishermen know it because of fish movement.
We as a nation will only change our diet with education , more films of this nature will help we all want a sustainable fishing industry 🏴🏴
Great program, I hope this reaches schools and national TV.
Don't worry , these middle class nobodies will infect every aspect of propaganda .
Fantastic video great message. I’ll share this on my love Sundays Facebook page. 👍
