Tejas Hunt Club Podcast Episode 37 - Talking Turkeys with Tim Endsley
This week on the podcast we have Tim Endsley of Wildhorse Motion Films. We talk about the EPIC Nebraska Turkey hunt him and our very own Brandon McDow went on back in 2021 and what it takes to create content as full time job!
Hunting and fishing are more than just killing and sport. It’s family, friends, and being outside. It’s enjoying the quiet and getting to seeing what’s out there. It’s experiencing wild places and testing yourself against nature. We were born to explore, hunt, and gather. These are our adventures in the outdoors!

Tejas Hunt Club Podcast Episode 29 - Rocking A Taxidermy & Guide Service with Derek Algueseva
I've eaten rattlesnake meat. In Amarillo, Texas. On a big plate with a large baked tater, A big pile of green beans and a big hunk of corn bread + a big, tall glass of iced tea. In a Steak House. They didn't fool around when it come to the helping. That dinner was sure good!
It taste good it just takes a big ole snake to get some meat lol! To be honest I don’t want to come close to the one that would make ya full!🤣🤣🤣
Not trying to be a wise-arse here at all. I see you both seem to be punching the triggers. I’m 73 years old and have seen and tried about every thing in archery. I was a puncher a lot in the past. I finally learned how to setup my Carter Quickie plus so I could pull through the shot. Not moving my index finger at all. This changed my world on confidence by being able to control my execution. My drive-by the target punching went away. Because I couldn’t punch it. My finger hooks deeply over the trigger at the first joint so it’s almost impossible to punch. I just pull. This allows me to fully focus on the target spot. As the pin settles into its smallest float I’ve already began to pull. Focus and pull. With serious patience and practice you will begin to notice you don’t have to think about when to pull harder to fire. It becomes an almost automatic process as your vision and mind are down range. It works! Look up “ bow only outdoors “ and see his learning videos on how he sets up and uses various releases. Please take a look at him and give it some serious consideration. You won’t believe the change in your results.👍👍🔥👀👀👀
Looks like you had some good fun there. I think people don’t realize the challenge in these long shot targets. The slightest wobble is all it takes to loose an arrow. Long range practice is a must for attending one of these shoots. 👍👍
O yea the long ones help with the short ones imo. Damn good practice for sure!
New subscriber, great video. Im brand new into archery, only shot a few months now. Going to s TAC is a goal of mine. Im in northeast Texas, so San Antonio and Oklahoma are about the same distance away.
Congrats on getting into archery and thanks for watching and subscribing! We are planning on going to Oklahoma next year!
I shot jack links in a group of 8 and every single one of us missed target 1 lol
Thanks for watching!!! That first target gave a lot of people trouble lol!
Enjoying the content, and love it you post real shit and not just the perfect shots. Archery is awesome and i am glad you two can share the same hobby the way me and mine can 🤘👍
Thanks for watching!
I don't know if I'm going to fit... 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 it was a concern
That wood mp5 furniture is slick!
Love that range… plus 4x4 trails 👍
Where in Texas is it?
The range is nice! Haven’t tried the trails yet.

Just found your video. I’ve got a female catahoula. She’s already 60 lbs at 6 months, so I figure she’ll be around 70 lbs. Will the intermediate size work fine for her? Would it be fine for just 1 of yours?
O yea she’d be fine by herself in that one!
Is there any attachments to lock it too your bed so no one can steal it??
No none that we have seen. I've went back and forth on making something to substitute for it. But have came up with the right combo. So far hasn't been a problem. Fingers crossed!
That is a monster
I love this!!! I currently have an Appaloosa horse and we are about to move into walk jog lope
This is an awesome project. Getting people educated and trained on weaponry and hunting properly. 100%👍👍
110%. An awesome event. Can’t begin to imagine the sheer enjoyment these hunters experienced. Fantastic. This is as good as it gets for hunters helping hunters have the experience of a lifetime! 👍👍👍👀👀👀👀
Great glassing footage. Cool seeing that big buck make his bed!
Great video! Smooth edits with great info. Beautiful dogs!
Thank you very much!
That’s so cruel
What do you think happens to them normally they get eaten alive by other animals getting shot seems like a better alternative
@@nexus_falling at least they may have lived, they’re just grouping them up and shooting them it’s absolutely horrible
Grouping them up?
Well it’s in human nature that’s how we evolved we ate meet that’s what we did and now for us it’s fun your just a city boy and don’t understand country
Ok it’s hard to hit doves I’m an 11 year old and consider myself a good shot and goddawg it’s hard to hit ‘em
Just keep practicing Reid! It will get easier.
Awesome to see women bow hunters and shooting archery.
If there’s not a particular reason you are using the trigger ( and you seem to not be punching) please consider trying a quality thumb button. I used a Cater Quickie Plus for years both target and hunting. About 7-8? years ago I went to a Carter Wise Choice thumb ( $225+-). It was a great decision. It’s my go to for any type event. I have mine setup where the thumb wraps deeply around the knob and the thumb tip rests on the release. Called closed loop setup. Anyway, the tip of my thumb is in a very repeatable spot. All I have to do is pull. There’s enough slippage of the knob on my thumb to make it fire. This pulling( using back muscles only and never intentionally moving the thumb) begins the second my pin is on target . I keep my mind AND focus exactly on the spot I want to hit. I do not have to have my brain bounce and forth to my index ( as many do) then back to the target. All I need to do is keep pulling as that mental command started seconds ago and is history. It will fire as I pull. It’s practically an automatic thing. I just keep focusing down range. Bang! Done deal. Within a few hundred serious shots your brain will be on auto pilot. There’s no thinking required. Focus and pull. Anyway, passing along what I got working for me.
So awesome there are more women loving this archer thing, lol. And some of these ladies can “ shoot lights out” too. 👍👍👀
Thanks for the comment and encouragement!
How or why did you chose to put the cooling fan on the side vents vs putting it on the door vents?
No particular reason just the way we oriented it. I have seen some people put it on the door as well though.
@@BarMCMedia Got it. Thanks.
you can just tell that Josey Murphy’s horse loves his job
For Sure!!!!
I bought a horse she had a few years ago and she is so sweet, such an awesome person!
Youve just killed someone with that arrow by hitting them in the heart 😅
Great job bud. This is the best video of dogs working in the dove field on YT.
Thanks for that! Appreciate you watching!
Question what ear protection you using ??
Isotunes Calibers
Awesome review man! Unlike the other clown that commented you covered, everything that someone would need to know.
Thanks Kevin! we are glad you enjoyed it! OSme peoples children don't know how to play nice lol 🤣
Hey, why cut the top of the neck and tip of the tail off? Is it more bone than meat there?
There is very little meat through the snake. But in this areas there was significantly less than the middle part of the snake. Removing the head is more for safety. We save the hide from the snake so removing the rattles was to ensure the get preserved as well.
What song is in the background at the beginning?
Good things will come eventually - Dj Denz the Rooster
From what I know the kennel doesn't have an Aluminum frame, nor does the fan have 3 setting it only has 2 settings and having 2 dogs in one kennel is unsafe in the even of an accident. Straps not included must be purchase separately. Not a good review.
Well your comment shows how little you know. It does have aluminum frame you can reference their website. The fan does have three settings low mid and high. Your critique of this review is not good! Might want to check your knowledge before you start spreading it. Thanks for the comment though!
It 100% is rated for accident. Really try to indulge yourself in information before you look so ignorant.
