Anti Union Propaganda. Job growth does not equate to better wages. They only want you to not unionize because these idiots are in the pockets of big business, which is not in your best interest.

Union jobs are great. I worked both UNION and non-union (private). Let me tell you this, I made more money in the long-run and received great benefits for my family (while working UNION). I see many posts of anti-union and it's wrong. Unions are dying because people gave up on their freedom. Working non-union sucks!! I could be fired anyday, any minute and I could not choose which days I could take off. I wish I worked UNION earlier in my life.

Glen is a great man, he cares about the constitution and its meaning. If you disagree with him you are left of center and can't think for your self. i use to be a democrat and then i grew up. I believe in the individual and not the collective. People have to take responsibility for there actions and not depend on the government to take care of them.

Without unions no one would have a 40 hour work week. And that is just for starters. People simply take these things for granted. If you really want to view a world without unions than feel free to pick up a history textbook and read about the late 1800`s and early 1900`s. Sure unions have made PLENTY of mistakes; but good lord! do really need to listen to the one sided propaganda spewing out of Glen Becks mouth?

The only time i ever lived above the US poverty level was when I was married to an RN for 4yrs. I've been fired only once. I've been laid off 4 times in 3 yrs and i'm currently unemployed. I'm not collecting unemployment and I have only enough money to live for one more month... Yes, I'm "reaping the fruits". TY.

@Eagle13Eric No representation is good representation? Sounds like a good deal for the employer... I think you should try a year on the none representation US minimum wage and see if you feel that is fair and justified because that is the result of not having Unions to represent you. Your salary wont even be able to combat inflation. Bragging about not being in a union is like bragging of being a free loader. While you wont admit it,you are reaping the fruits of the working class union history.

@MarioSMB3 You are obviously missing the crucial part about your "school" argument that with a higher education you are MORE likely to be unionized. The reason you dont see as many strikers or similar in important highly educated jobs is because the employ has choices of where to work while the employer can not easily replace people. Ergo, they have a much higher incentive to work with their employees than trying to exploit them.

What people like Glenn Beck never admits when he rants about Unions is that the minimum wage in the US is under the poverty line. Yeah,you are technically poor if you make minimum wage. Why? Well,minimum wage is not represented at the table. For years it was even losing towards inflation,aka you lose buying power because prices goes naturally up. Thats why its a crappy deal and the only reason you make more where you are is because of Unions representing you at the table directly or indirectly.

This guy sickens me, along with his buddies who use the words freedom and choice to sucker people into doing the beckoning of the Wall Street money monsters and Corporate Leaders with their Million Dollar salaries while they keep wages down and destroy the middle class...............These people will split hell wide open someday with thier tea bag in hand.

@MarioSMB3 IMO Ronald Reagan was the best US president in my 47 yrs, but I didn't agree with all of his policies and I still don't like unions, especially those in the public (tax paid) govt. sector. As far as private sector unions existing; some will argue that they help to protect employees from abuse by their employers, such as in sweatshops. In the US we have fed. and state labor laws to prevent such abuse. I believe today's unions are primarily used to create class and political division.
