Chip should watch a fellow Brit and his podcast SHAPEFIXER. How I grew my hip back, is the name of the episode. He follows a very low carb, perhaps a carnivore diet. Definitely worth watching! When you follow low carb or carnivore, addictions are easier to manage.
Every time i go to the store n dont get booz is a win ! I just try to keep the madness up front n honest in my mind..
Autism recovery??????
That's a lot!
Could you talk about “obligatory” drinking? After 70 days sober, I drank last night. I felt obligated because it was my 50th birthday and my friends threw me a party. They really went “all out” for me, and even though the host knew I quit drinking and had non alcoholic options for me, I drank out of obligation. Totally my own perception, but it was a powerful one. I am trying to forgive myself today and just get on with it but still feel disappointed in myself. Back to day 1.
If anyone out there watching this is struggling, I would please recommend that you look up rational recovery / avrt and jack trimpey. It assisted me in saving my own life ❤
What you're doing is confusing the "ego" with the addictive voice aka (Pleasure driven survival drive). We need to recognize and identify the addictive voice. Then and only then we can become fully recovered former addicts. Not addicts in recovery. Complete Recovery IS an event, not an ongoing process. But hey, that's just what I believe to be true. Who am I to claim these to be facts. Just like who are these doctors and scientists, and "qualified people" to claim that addiction is a disease and that addicts are powerless.
The Presence Process by Michael Brown.. Not for the faint hearted - It heals trauma, old wounds, and unplugs addictions... Heal your emotional pain and you will transform your life.
This really speaks to me…. Thank you x
Helpful suggestions. Thank you ❤

Instead of binging wine and beer, I’ve been binging your content Veronica! I love this content and I can very much relate to your content as a 27 year old who wants to FINALLY quit for good! Thanks so much! You are doing God’s work!
Thank you I would love to know if there's a course available now thank you
❤I will glad to have it.Hi from Bulgaria 😊
I want to learn more please do more content about this! A few follow up questions: -If someone refuses to do the emotional work will they ever be sober? - do you have to work a program as part of emotional recovery? - how long does it take most ppl to be emotionally sober?
I release my resistance to the next step 💜🙏☮️ gonna keep keeping on and getting stronger everyday!! Regulating emotions has been a process and will be a constant process I’m willing to bet. With every new risk or choice I make to step into my destiny I remove another layer of onion.
Damn, who is myself? This is good though
I never thought that about older women. That definitely wasn’t the case in my family. My Grandmother was seen as almost a deity before she passed. What I do know is being a middle aged man with a beautiful wife and two little girls makes you invisible to the world. Literally everything is about the girls. I’m an afterthought, at best.

Hi! I’m really enjoying your work on RUclips. Is the REBT practice that you mentioned to work on resentments in your book?
wow
Absolutely🎉
I saw the 10% not drinking and 90% emotional sobriety today Very helpful
Hi Veronica Yes please On behalf of my sick loved one
I have commented on other shorts and video's saying I am 4 yrs sober but never happy. I think I have found the reason. Emotional sobriety.
I’m 92 days in and this is exactly the video I needed to see. My buddy who all we do is drink and smoke cigars when he comes over is visiting in 2 weeks and I’m figuring out how to navigate it. What I do know is that I’m not going to give up over 100 days of progress for one night!
Clearly the best self help video I've seen. Thank you.
Absolutely fabulous conversation! You both are a inspiration ❤
What great rapport between these two ❤❤❤
When I was young my mother stopped drinking and her boyfriend didn't, she expected that he'd follow suit but he drank more before they finally split, he moved across the country and died years later due to drug aduse, RIP Miles,
The catalyst for putting weight on the sober end, is to STOP focusing on "not drinking"! Sobriety is largely dependent on how we move our feet. Only then will our perception change. I can go park my car right in front of a health club, but NOTHING will change until I get off my arse and go inside. The healthiest people in the club did not get that way by "thinking" about it. They had to take ACTION! Sobriety is no different. The hope and inspiration that people freely shared with me from day one, was exactly what I needed. "Poor Me" stories never helped anyone get sober. What I saw were the smiles, the twinkle in the eyes, the sincerity of true stories about redemption, and the restoration of families, trust, integrity, employment opportunities, health, finances, and most importantly, a metamorphosis of the soul! Despite my skepticism, all of that came true for me! Live in the problem, or live in the solution...Recovery is as simple as that! ✌❤
Makes so much sense. Our reaction to People is usually the problem !
Excellent and very practical and real . Will be getting book to embed in my routine. Thanks for your great work
Avoidance of discomfort is the root of most of our problems. Embracing discomfort, sitting with it, processing it is key to emotional healing and growth.

I respectfully disagree, it is a decision one makes plain and simple, regardless of the scientific brain chemistry. If you can’t make it 100%, then there is a part of you that still wants to drink.
When I told a friend I gave up alcohol mainly because it causes me to get panic attacks and depression, she said, but you've always drank and never been depressed. 😂 Ummm that's because I'm so good at hiding it!! I realise now though, she was my drinking buddy and didn't want me to stop.
I think the conversation is drinking after work or a work function, christmas do etc.
4 years sober and I still feel so awkward going to work parties, there is always that 1 person who buys the tray of shots, 1 for everyone.
I would have panic attacks 2 to 3 days after drinking. My main reason I got sober was to stop the panic attacks. I began to see the pattern of alcohol followed by attacks. Once I accepted that the panic was triggered by the alcohol, I stopped. I've been sober 4 years and have not had 1 panic attack since about a month after quitting alcohol.
When I got sober 4 years ago, I took on weekend work so that I didn't have to go out socialising, avoid the pubs etc. Sometimes work is a saving grace.
I have been sober for 4 years more for mental health reasons. I don't find it fun at all. I feel like I have lost my joy, I loved the pub scene, the buzz, the social aspect of getting dressed up, going out etc. I haven't found that in my sobriety. Maybe I am doing something wrong 😂
Even to say "a woman there who didn't drink, but she was really good fun" is a judgement. That's something I struggle with, people's judgement of how boring I will be because I don't drink, so much so, it prevents me joining in on work do's. When I do go, I nearly double down on "being fun" to dispel their opinions of a sober person being boring. It's a lot of effort 😂 so much so, I'd rather not go out.
Everything your saying is soooo true!! I am now 73.days sober. Thank you for the encouragement!
I’ve been sober over 8 years through Alcoholics Anonymous, but can certainly pick up some of the tools suggested in her episodes.
