Oh, no. There is no surviving a Smart Bomb. A singular Smart bomb is capable of taking down Fleet Ships, such as the Star Destroyer. And all Fox would have to do to defend against a torpedo is another Aileron, that Peppy misidentifies as a "Barrel Roll". When an Arwing ailerons, it's capable of blocking all physical and optical weaponry. Y'all just salty Star Wars fans that don't recognize the Arwing's Superiority to any ship in the Star Wars Universe. Fox also has the option of just outflying the torpedo, as Arwings are capable of Mach 4.2, while an X-Wing barely reaches Mach 1.
