    I wish people would buy their kids books instead of phones at the tender age. There's a power in reading, it just triggers the subconscious mind.

    • @WhatsOnYourShelf
      @WhatsOnYourShelf 19 дней назад

      I completely agree with you! Books are such a great way to spark imagination and nurture critical thinking in kids. Phones can be useful, but they shouldn’t replace books. I think when kids start reading young, it shapes their minds in ways that stay with them for life.

      @@WhatsOnYourShelf His interpretation of the Gospel accounts, in relation to the historical books or historians of that period, is somewhat limited. Many people and texts provide insight into the events of that time. For instance, during the reign of Emperor Tiberius, in the 15th year of his rule (which corresponds to approximately 27 AD), Jesus was baptized, a detail mentioned both in the Bible (Luke 3:1, 3:23) and by historical writers like the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus in his Antiquities of the Jews (Book 18, Chapter 3). These historical references help corroborate the biblical narrative, providing a broader context for understanding the events of Christ's life.

    Great content from Jacob! And as a scholar I believe he will also agree to disagree [good to know he's a skeptic]. In that regard, a true scholar will know to refrain from denying the existence of Jesus as all researchers have come to one conclusion, Jesus [as a person] is not a myth - he actually existed. There are lots of roman [and other] records to prove it, and that's why Jesus has never been wished away. Otherwise, he would have been forgotten a long time ago as his true teachings are usually not so liked by those in power - not the manipulated ones. Let him keep reading about it.

    • @WhatsOnYourShelf
      @WhatsOnYourShelf 19 дней назад

      That’s an interesting perspective isaacmathewajuaga, and I appreciate the depth of your insight! Indeed, Jesus’ existence is widely acknowledged by historians, and it’s fascinating how his influence has endured despite opposition throughout history. I think Jacob would appreciate diving deeper into this topic, especially since he seems to approach things with a critical yet open mind. Encouraging more reading and exploration on the subject is always a great way to expand understanding.

    I am hoping that the African Union Government will help us to become AFRICAN AGAIN just like our WARRIOR ANCESTORS. We would love to have a Birthright Return Laws similar to Israeli Birthright Return Law. It seems like all other groups are welcome to Return to their Origins without any issues but We the Proud Descendants of AFRICA'S PRISONERS of WAR Against COLONIALISM are not WELCOMED or WANTED Home. It is not OUR FAULT and we are TIRED of everyone else being able to return to their ORIGINS WITH OPEN ARMS. WE DID NOT JUMP IN BOATS TRYING TO BECOME EUROPEANS. WE WERE FORCED INTO SHIPS AND ARE VICTIMS OF CENTURIES OF HUMAN-TRAFFICKING and GENOCIDE. I would like to ask the LEADERS OF ANY AFRICAN NATION LEADERS " TO WHAT LAND DO WE BELONG"? If not AFRICA we are but DESPERATE ORPHANS in this EVIL WORLD without a HOME TO RESTORE OUR SOULS. May the MOST HIGH BLESS YOU are YOUR LANDS and give YOU the WISDOM that will PROSPER YOUR PEOPLE throughout this WORLD. I PRAY.

      Your message carries a profound truth and deep emotion. The historical trauma of slavery, colonization, and displacement has left scars that many are still grappling with today. The longing for a sense of belonging and connection to one’s ancestral roots is something no one should be denied. I agree that initiatives like a Birthright Return Law for descendants of Africa could be a meaningful step toward healing and unity. Recognizing and addressing this history is essential not only for the African Union and its member states but also for the global community.
