Thanks for the info, considering the project M on my tacoma similar to yours(TRD sport extra cab, in hindsight wish I got the offroad). Wondering for the upgrades to the tacoma, can you preemptively add support or is it better to wait until the camper is installed so you can see how weight is distributed and make adjustments then? Thanks, found a lot of good info and don't see as many non four door videos.

great build out! didnt find many 1st gen tundras with the same topper on here but since the 07 tacoma has similar dimensions, this video answered a lot of questions I had! I would love to see the jack brackets for the awning attachments!

I love this build. I think people get too caught saving up and getting the best of everything when simple and cheap often works 95% as well. You can spend thousands on a nice Goose Gear set or you can spend that money actually travelling and seeing the country! With a stock 4 banger Taco these two can go to 95% of the real world destinations out there

Hey dude, did your project M have the door lift assists on the outside from the start? Mine are on the inside and the door does not open nearly as far up as yours and many others Ive seen online. I’m 6’3 and the corners of the back door line up right between my eyes when Im standing outside and its quite a hazard

I went to El Mirage about 20 years ago to ride dirt bikes and if I can remember correctly the lake bed is quite smooth. It sure seems like a good place to do speed runs. I think it would be real cool to have an RC event at the lake. 👍

@Teal Topper, just curious about how you got things attached on the wall? The material of the walls is a bit strange and Ive had command strip/ adhesive stuff not be able to stay on the wall. Falls right off. Did you screw into the walls and shelves? How far could you go? Im worried about doing damage or puncturing

What type of paint did you use for the silver engine parts?

If you're not a hardcore rock crawler then that 2.7 I4 is more than adequate for the purpose especially with the manual trans. Love the simplicity on the Project M and what you have done with it to make it yours. Keep the videos coming.

its fast but does it have good slow control? I mainly crawl and I want a powerful servo with control but necessarily fast.

Didn't your panhard bar hit the servo horn? The servo drips down more than stock and even with the stock horn it reduces suspension travel.
