Going through tool bag in 4Runner. Making sure I’ve got what need for next trail repair. Still have some stuff to add but this is the start. Got some bucket boss wrench rolls off Amazon and a tool bag from our friends over at Poly performance. Going to the two following weekends fam! See you dude there 🤙🏻 still repping the sticker my dude 🙌🏻
@@UrbanOpsOffRoad look forward to it. Morning clean ups the 3rd 10 am chocolate thunder
@ will be there brother!
@ dude just realized the 3rd is Monday and I’ll be there on the 1st, 7th and 8th. Is there any other way I can help out the mission?
@@UrbanOpsOffRoadyou are good ! 3rd - 9th they be going.
@ hell yeah!
I’ll subscribe to this shit! 🤘🏼
Did this in early 80's on the Rubicon with cj 5 and my Dad, I was 12.
Bet the trail has changed quite a bit since then. Such a rad area.
Always good to re look at the tool bags. Having a quick access bag with most common tools is good. I have one on the door for the same reason and use it all the time versus pulling the big bag out, though you have way more tools than me. Haha
Yea digging in the back when you need a screwdriver or a zip tie sucks! haha Trying to not carry too much more than I need. I have another ammo can of random parts ubolts, shackle, locking hub, brake line, fuel pump.. not that anyone cares haha but I'll throw together another video when I have some time.
Todays winner of the douche Thrill-billy " Hey look at me ! " award.
Thanks for coming out Rich. Follow us for more recipes!
@badlinesgoodtimes I'm here for the video where Thrill-billy slips under with nobuddy in the cab !
@@richardlincoln8438 Good ❤. What kind of rig you running?
@@badlinesgoodtimes 24valve Cummins 6 speed 4x4 3/4 ton oddly enough, I use a seatbelt. No rollin' coal, no power adders to try impressing the fan-boiz. 12 mpg pulling a two axle trailer with a 3300 # dirt car on it to the track. I don't try using it to compensate for a small male member either.
Dual transfers 👌

@@badlinesgoodtimes The gomers that hurt themselves or get other people hurt doing moronic shiza !
@@badlinesgoodtimes Like the basic kid in the comments after watching thriller outside the cab on wet rocks... " Ooo, aah, i always want to get a beater to do that ! " Like i said, i'm here for the video of thrill-billy going under. Enticing the basic to emulate that ain't cool !
Pretty cool looking forward to get a beater truck of my own to do stuff like this with I’ve always wanted to do this
Do it! It's pretty wild what dual cases can do for a truck.
Get ready to budget almost double the cost of a beater truck on just suspension and tires 😂
@@mikehunt-zx8tr I mean it can be done on a "budget" If you hang around for the right deals and do all the work yourself. Our forum has Classifieds section or facebook market place. But yea if you are going new open the old wallet. The Drive train in my 4runner excluding the motor is probably 7500 by the time you get drive shafts built. Adds up in a hurry!
If you get your magnifying glass out you can see that I was really getting after it way out there in the back!
@@ezraayers2079 you jeep boys were dragging knuckles wanting to retreat back loon.
@badlinesgoodtimes yeah we don't have the street legal vehicles. Used to be street legal. But two built now so only green sticker
Thats crazy how far the panhard bar pulls the front axle to the driver side. 😮
Solid axle things haha
If you are going to be dumb and willing to have very little return in terms of fun on your investment, pick this hobby.
Thats some nice suspention ngl
Yea for a solid axle truck it works pretty well. This was first time out after a 10 year build. Link in the Description to the build thread if you wanna scope it.
Explorer crawler, love it man!
I agree, such a cool build.
The panhard rod's working overtime

BLINK-182!!!! now i have to hear the full song :O
@@M102 right! Haha no idea why this song popped in to my head when I was uploading this but glad it did
I would have to be filthy rich to attempt something like that with any of my rides. But fun yo watch everyone else.
@@sonandsanford4963 yea I hear you. Probably why I only wheel 80s shitboxes

@@scottcombs7968 yea rides pretty smooth for out of the box.
I’m so surprised the axle broke, those are beefy axles. Nonetheless love seeing these heavy beasts offroad
@@4runnergodfather158 was a farm truck with truck has 200k miles on it before he built it so assuming they were OEM axles they gave it a pretty good run. This thing has some serious torque and hp.
That's so funny lol I was totally just scrolling RUclips and I came onto the thumbnail and was just like "Damn that thing has NO business being there, the things people do for attention on the internet 🙄" then I scolled onto the account name, then the thumbnail turned into a preview, and I was like "Oh! It's Bruce's truck" lmao yeah totally fooled me at first glance hahahaha
@@AndrewWilliams-vg5lg 😂 that algorithm got you. 👀
This just looks like fun and relaxing at the same time, I wish Toyota would bring back the original two door. I have seen some of the most greatest creations of off-road machinery made out of those.
💯 agree with you. Might be a little bias owning one myself but it’s a Swiss Army knife with the removable top and a set of half doors during summer months. Winter comes throw the top and doors back on an crank the heater 👌
3rd generation is best generation. 335K miles and as strong as ever.
Awesome history and back story from Dave and Polyperformance I didnt even know all the details even after working for Dave for 7 years.
Thanks again for coming up to hangout! Hopefully people enjoy this rare look into our history and how we operate. Once you get that motor swap done you should bring the yota back up here and we can do it again! 👍
Compete on customer service...
@ 49:30 we discuss exactly that.
@@badlinesgoodtimes Yes.
We at least like to think we do. Unlike some other retailers in the space, when customers contact Poly Performance there is no robotic AI assistant wasting everyone's time. We have a small but dedicated customer service team that is constantly working to help. If we see an order come through with possible issues, we have our guys call/email customers to try and fix it before it ships. If someone calls in with parts questions, we have fellow enthusiasts here to assist. Sometimes people even call us and end up with Dave answering the phone to help 😂
Shoutout to Pip-squeak!! 🤘
@@COLINSMITHSLO hope this podcast reaches Pip. 😂

great podcast love all the budget builds that go on your trips. Coral Pink sand dunes that are close to Sand Hollow often gets forgotten about out there for OHV fun, for the next trip maybe.

Whys that look like Rubicon
Because it is. 👌
@@badlinesgoodtimes oh alright
So why does it seem like some people change trucks so much over the years and some keep the same rig? Am I missing something as far as prerunners having a lifespan that is small? (Not including crashes)
@@WilliamRose-uc1ix I often wonder that very question. For the most part our group has had pretty much the same rigs. A few have upgraded over the years for various reasons. I always see guys going through trucks few every years. Maybe they are chasing the build process of getting something, creating it and then moving on to the next project. While others build the truck and just maintain it and get out and use it when they can
Ok I can kinda understand enjoying the build process more than the ownership I guess and just wanting to build multiple styles of rig. I’m hoping to keep my 4runner for the long haul as it was the first Toyota in my life.
Love the memories and the photos! 🤘🏻😁
agreed Good Times!
Great show dudes! I love hearing all the memories from some epic trips! Wish I would have made it on that Grand Canyon trip but maybe we can plan another one when the kids are a bit older. Keep up the good work!
Thanks brother. Yea we'll have to get another long one going.
What percentage of you guys have AC in these rigs ?
I'd say probably half of them have A/C
Fortunately my friends won’t find out how much of a shit friend I am until the shit hits the fan. Hopefully that will be years or decades from now, then dip.
One day they'll need you.
