Right after the frustrated season under really catastrophic management we needed to get back on the rails. We seem to be going well so far. Professionalism is what this club deserves. It is obvious that planning in such a narrow time is not easy but fans are supportive. Hope it will yield its products in the foreseeable future.

As a Fenerbahce fan where Besiktas was heading last year was not promising, it looked like a tough few years ahead. Having said that, the new President only took over last season and has clearly had the right ideas, Friedel is definitely worth every penny the way he has handled things at Besiktas thus far. Mr. Friedel, you have accepted this job when Beşiktaş was in one of its lowest points in recent history with pure chaos and anger going on inside the club. We got nothing going for us besides winning the Turkish Cup which meant European competition for upcoming year. As I understand from your interview here you did an amazing job analyzing the football culture within the country to understand the urgency of the situation. But urgency did not force you into a panic, and your plan has worked out as well as it could. As a lifelong Beşiktaş fan and a 15+ year season ticket holder, I am very excited for the upcoming year. Great interview espicially for people who doesn't even know or care to research what Brad does for us. He is correct about Turkish sports media they do their job poorly and write anything to get a few clicks. We had a ship wreck of squad last season but now we're only down to 3 troublesome players with a week to go in transfer window. Brad's doing a great job. Thank you for this video as it helps break prejudice against him.

I do not agree the way the team trying to get rid of Aboubakar, that tell a bad work of previous management, I think the future could touch the same

Correction: he is not an advisor, he's in charge of off-loading players to MLS and South American clubs using his connections. Beşiktaş has 2 advisors who are previous Turkish footballing legends and Brad isin't one of them.

As a beşiktaş fan in 40s, i've watched Mr. Friedel live when he was our fierce rival galatasaray's GK; now he's a reputable gentleman in world football and works as advisor to our beloved beşiktaş. As we can see here, he's such a dedicated, on point and intelligent man. Nothing but respect for Mr. Friedel, and with his help hopefully we'll be the ones who'll raise glass at the end of the season.
