Grimes is very much an inner child in the form of an adult. She likes to pretend. She likes to feel special, fanciful, advanced, and like anything is possible. We've all felt that way, at least as kids, and it's a huge part of her creativity. That being said. She's an unfortunate mix of celebrity influence, money, and validation. So she can live her fantasy with the celebrity influence to actualize her artistic vision of being "other." The money to live as "other." And the adoring fans and yes men around her telling her that she is "other." Add in an ego to believe that she is more open-minded and intelligently aware than most everyone else...and voilà! A recipe for Grimes. And all the tag along wannabe special people to pretend Grimes is making sense to validate their own make-believe. It makes for interesting art. Not so much for philosophy or pseudoscience.

I think she’s opening up in a very interesting conversation that maybe we should talk about instead of putting her down
