Passing my B1 Goethe Exam with help from ASSIMIL German
Great video! Sorry if someone has already asked this question, but you mentioned it cost 70 on Amazon. What did that include? I I orded the book which was 30, what else would you recommend? With this approach did you feel confident talking in German?
this is for you ▶️🔘------------00:10”
The simply act of practicing the instrument and hear the music in your head, it's the must important exercise and soul work to get to the point you want, no the for standards! Enjoy playing!
@@luispedromondal6990 thanks bro, you are of course correct. It's finding the enjoyment in the relentless discipline and trying to keep it fun and curious.
You S U C K
Also i love your shirt. Ive always wanted an s club shirt ...but...$$$
Bro, I went to see them live for the reunion and my mate got us some for a tenner before hand. They were over £35 at the stadium!! Favourite member? Mine was always Hannah 😀
@@jenniferc23 my fave is Jo
@@Yael-hx8ysBest voice hands down.
@@jenniferc23 i love them so much. Saw them in concert in february. Id love to meet them.
Absolutely excellent choice of song. S club slaps!
Your so funny!
Thanks 1983! 😊 If only this wasn't the reality of panicking over losing my voice... 😂
@@jenniferc23 So relatable, Keep up the good work!
I get that giddy joy when you create a new groovy tune on the guitar 😂❤
Nice chord progression
Thanks dude, seems it's a long and fun journey trying to work out how things sound together and what I'm actually playing 😂
Very well played dear, keep it up!🎸
Thanks deer 🦌
Bravo, félicitations !
Danke sehr Bro! 😊
Despite being so young and gorgeous you managed the 'stodgy couple' - Poor dad... v funny.
Thanks Amanda, you know what it's like trying to get your other half to take part in a crime in order to fund a trip to Whitby..
#30 much too short
Indeed my friend, life is too short. Lucky for us lot who still have our health and minds. Got to go out there and enjoy it while we can 🙂
I feel so lucky to love punk rock and stick with power chords. I can learn almost every song i like in less than 5 minutes.
Rock n roll man! I love LOTR and folky fingerstyle so unfortunately everything I play sounds really jolty because of the spacing needed on the fret board!
I love people like you, thank you <3
Well don't be fooled by appearances, I'm a mess most of the time haha :)
@@jenniferc23 what I meant are people who put themselves out here and show their vulnerable site hehe
@@ramona8622 Well I'm not sure about vulnerability as it doesn't cost anything to upload it. I would say showing reality helps in the world we live in. Thanks for tuning in by the way and may your weekend be filled with pasta!
Very distracted by how beautiful you look ! 🤗 ♥️… well done angel! So proud of you x
Thank you.
You're welcome friend!
I learned Português using Assimil and now i down loaded Assimil in Italian. And i Will learn Italian.
You brought so much life to this Sharon character 😂 I love the little mannerisms you gave her, such as being confused with Larry/Gary's name, and even trying to include Sheila and her slightly undercooked cakes 😂 even the bit with her trying to think of the right phrase around 1:45, that was great She just sounds like a sweet old Northern lady~ Incredible job, miss! Also, whoever drew Sharon did amazing! She has a lovely design ☺️✨
Thanks bro, really appreciate you taking the time to listen! Plenty more on the way (once I've recovered from a horrible flu). Have a great week!
@@jenniferc23 Of course! I hope you get well soon, and have a great week as well~
The two languages I’ve learned after my mother tongue were studied with the Assimil collection books, as well as.. :)
That's super cool Danny. You are clearly a super bright spark! I had to start Spanish with a teacher online and German at school in Year 9-sixth form but I was terrible. Ten years later I've tried to continue. Right now its on the backburner as I've got 39384744 things to do. Such is life!
@@jenniferc23 Thanks! Nice. Well my native language is Spanish, just in case you want to practice, let me know! Have a great day..
love this video❤
Hey, I am also going to start a journey of B2, if you got some content or grammar or vocab related to B2, can you please provide me.....
how can i find you on instagram ?
What was your motivation to learn German? Do you live or want to move to Germany?

This is awesome, didn't expect to find something like this, bless you RUclips algorithm, you work in mysterious ways
Thank you to the RUclips algorithm indeed. Much appreciated!
I imagine his eyes blink one at a time
Sehr gut gemacht Jen!
Keep being strange
Not sure what you mean, this is perfectly serious!
Aragorn
I'm so happy for you !! you show so much motivation !!!
So cool :o
Hey, thank you for responding to our questions in the comments!! I have a question please, I'm reading a lesson everyday, but I don't feel I'm quite learning... yes I know a bunch of words now, and if I read the past 5 lessons I can understand what the text is saying... but as I said I don't really feel I'm learning, is that a normal feeling?? Oh, and is reading enough??? I mean do I need to do analysis on every word I see in the text; "what it's meaning, or what does this correlative do and why is it here" and so on and so forth.. I really appreciate your help!! thanks!🙏🙏🙏
Hello friend, give yourself some grace and plod on. Not sure there is a right way to do it, I reckon when it gets to a certain point maybe more dots will connect or perhaps they won't. As long as you're keeping up and doing it your way- you're doing it right! I am no expert, I'm a total numpty so keep going!!
@@jenniferc23 thanks!! 😊 I'll keep on pushing my language learning Have a great day!
Would I need any other sources for learning grammar or other feilds?
Yes, would recommend a real life human teacher and the B1 Goethe study book. This wasn't a quick fix, it took a long time. I just found that it helped me revise before the exam by having a structures 100 days to find the curiosity in learning again! Good luck my friend!
hiya! just wanted to appreciate the way u speak, meaning both the vocabulary and the accent. just thrilling!
Thanks man, not sure I've ever been called thrilling before but have yourself a great week!
Had to look up what a *_"quid"_* was.

Good video Jen! Viel Glück mit Band 2 von Asimil Deutsch!
Danke sehr Alfon!!
I speak several languages for various reasons and I always keep learning new ones while refreshing the ones I already know (this year I am learning Italian and refreshing my German). I always liked a combination of: - Pimsleur (just Vol. I) 1 month, then Assimil, - 1-2 RUclips Channels with Teachers you like (after lesson 40-50 of Assimil) - Tandem or HelloTalk language exchange Apps, - 1 hour a week online Teacher (after lesson 60-70 of Assimil) - Podcasts at a later stage. That is all, no need to spend too much money or get crazy with many tools or books. KEY: everyday 30-45 mins minimum, have the audios available in your mobile to listen to them hundreds of time while ironing, cooking, walking, commuting, etc. Do NOT scape more than 1 day a week. At the beginning, essential is to get the phonetics right using IPA phonetic transcriptions as guidance and having available a native speaker (of your target language + accent) to help you correct / improve the sounds. As an example students should make an effort to be able to pronounce the word brother as /ˈbrʌðər/ and not /ˈbrʌdər/ or in Spanish dedo (finger) /ˈdeðo/ and not /ˈdedo/. Forget Duolingo, Babbel and any other similar App method as it is too slow.
Hi Jen, Nice stories about your guitar journey - sounding good! I have been practicing and slowly getting better on guitar and even starting to make some guitar-noodle creations which may someday become songs (when my confidence singing and playing improves).. Nice songwriting! Keep playing, creating and sharing the joy :)
Wezley, thanks for your message! What is a guitar noodle creation? Sound intruiging! Confidence comes from doing so get out there bro!
Hoy only used this book?
No, I used lots of different teaching groups, one on ones. All sorts. But this gave me a way to pracise everyday before the exam in a fun structured method as well as the tonnes of work!
Just as a fact the book should take you at least 150 days including the active phase of the last 50 lessons
I did it wrong then, thank you for pointing that out. Here's divvy
Hallo, Jen!
What do you mean by go back and translate from english to german can you explain more please
Congratulations!! Such good marks as well! Other than assimil what books did you use for grammar? & similarly what did you use for listening exercising?
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOORIIIIIIING
Thank you for your feedback, I'll bare that in mind next time I try to sit an exam! So grateful for your kind comment! 🙏
Neue Wörter gefällig? Schaue dir doch mal das PONS Bildwörterbuch Deutsch an. 8000 neue Wörter mit Bildern dabei.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum bestandenen Test! 🎉😊 Ich nutze Assimil um Rumänisch zu lernen. Tough 😅
wow! hervorragend :D
I bought the same book a few months ago and i haven't even open it! I'm definitely not discipline at all
Don't beat yourself up. You are doing great. Just tell yourself you'll open it and read one sentence. Start small!
@@jenniferc23 Loved it!!! Thank you very much!!! I will do it 👍
Congrats Jen! I have the book too but not the audio. I noticed in the video you were using Spotify the recordings...how can I find these? Tia!
It isn't on Spotify my friend, it's that I'd downloaded them onto my phone and Spotify was used to open my 'local files'
@@jenniferc23 oh darn! I had a feeling that might have been the case. It's a bit pricey to order separately but I think I'll treat myself. Your videos have inspired me to keep going with German - thank you so much :)
That's class to hear Will! I've actually kicked myself up the backside and will be trying to follow my passion of comedy and acting rather than German so I probably won't be putting any new German content on here. What I will say is that I would heartily recommend spending on a proper teacher who is native to the language and who has taught before. It gave me so much confidence and she was brutal as well which kicked me upeth the backsideth!@@willg1424
I'm trying all sorts including one to one, group classes with Lingoda and a grammar book. It's probably the hardest thing I've had to learn (not speaking any other languages already)..comedy sounds good but of course you can include some German :P
Keep going and compare yourself to yourself last week or month, not to anyone else. So much online makes it look like people breathe out in a new language instantly, but its nonsense. Anyway, vielleicht auf Deutsch, mal sehen...@@willg1424
