Touc-Ian survived many storms here in Key Largo, and will be forever remembered, as fierce and brave storm icon. Here is a mother raccoon and her baby. Since the baby was very small, it has had some sort of issue with it's back legs which causes it to fall over. The baby has flourished in the way of growing and weight, but is still afflicted with the tipping over problem. This very yellow warbler came by this morning. I am debating on whether it is a female Yellow Warbler, Wilson Warbler, or Hooded Warbler? Or maybe not any of those, please leave a comment if you are able to ID.

So cute together. I'm thinking that baby is afflicted with cerebellar hypoplasia which is caused by a virus. The baby since born with it will adapt his life to it. He will be fine and is in no discomfort. Although it is heartbreaking to watch, it's perfectly normal for him.❤
Also, there is no treatment for it. I learned about this disease through a cat rescue center that have cats affected by this virus.

They have many CH kitties there if anyone is interested in learning more and seeing them, you can find them here www.youtube.com/@FOFRescueCenter - If it is cerebellar hypolasia or CH, this condition occurs when the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls coordination and balance, is underdeveloped. In raccoons, cerebellar hypoplasia can be caused by infections such as parvovirus or distemper virus during pregnancy or shortly after birth.

Poor baby. Have you tried contacting rescue organisations further afield for ideas about what can be done? I follow Holley Muraco's youtube channel in which she documents her experiences rehabilitating beavers in Mississippi. She also has two racoon kits under her care at the moment as well and works closely with a local rescue centre called Woodside. Maybe you could contact them for any suggestions they might have regarding Tippy.. Holley is a doctor of marine biology so she knows her stuff about animals. Her channel can be found under her name 'Holley Muraco'.

Pretty sure this is a yellow warbler, the bill looks way too long for a Wilson's. Also, the underside of the tail looks entirely yellow (with the exception of a little black around the edges), which points towards yellow warbler. A Wilson's undertail would be all black. A female hooded warbler would have some olive green tones on the head and neck, and would have some white feathers in the tail
