    Tom Hardy presents as a deep self reflecting guy. The movie character is a master class in Who owns the problem. He puts his responsibility to solve each problem on himself. He wastes no time on blaming anyone. Facts he states. Facts he accepts. During his car trip he experiences a series of losses. These hurt him . He continually moves into the nearing future , he continually thinks himself forward. I really like Tom Hardy. Like his character he experiences pain, inner turmoils and is a none arrogant person.

    Way back in my USAF days I learned tha trusting others was a bad call. That was in the 90's , a highly propserous era and folks would bet their lives against screwing someone over. I have told folks for many years " if WE are in a lifeboat with limited food and resource, by morning, you WILL be swimming and I will rowing" Since the 90's, i have no problem whatsoever to make sure I survive. Get that in your head fellow survivers, I wanna meet you, on OUR terms. Still gonna put you in the water, however haha!

    i really liked Don't Look Now, and i love arthouse horror, but Hereditary is very middle-of-the-road for me. i personally think a lot of the hate probably stems from the fact that it was a lot of people's first brush with so-called "elevated horror," and so those people tend to praise it as if it was revolutionary, when audiences who have been watching this kind of stuff for decades know that isn't the case. it's not so much the movie they hate, it's the fans, but they end up hating the film too as a result, which kind of sucks it's like when you hear a song that's just...alright, maybe you somewhat dislike it, but then it's on the radio every 5 minutes, topping charts for weeks on end, and eventually it starts to grate on your nerves

    I thought "Hereditary" was a delicious horror film with that said, Hollywood refuses to simply purchase the beautiful art already available anywhere else. Hollywood is like a petulant child surrounded by candy while crying that the candy it wants isn't available. It's just that, Petulance. there are fabulous horror stories available on RUclips with entertainers like "HorrorBabble" & "Dr Creepen" but Hollywood is crippled by the Unionized creative talent it is shackled to. One of my bosses told me once, "If you want them to prove themselves, you have to keep them hungry." Competition is healthy. When employees have authority over employers, it nurtures entitlement not creativity.

    I prefer the Alien 3 assembly cut to Aliens. For me Aliens is in no doubt an enjoyable b-movie action flick but it gets very silly in the latter half and removes all the horror and anxiety from the alien lore. The Queen was a dreadful idea and undermined the original egg-morphing concept I'd been fascinated by since 1979.

    • @filmchewingpodcast
      @filmchewingpodcast 6 месяцев назад

      I go back and fourth about the queen, on one hand it's kind of a neat idea but the idea of morphing into eggs is more terrifying. Thanks for listening!

    My idea for an Alien5 movie is as follows: It takes place after alien4 and takes places on an earth in ruins. TheRipleyClone has transformed into an entity that is producing eggs,and a lot of humans are affected,and a war breaks out.They have to use a nuke on the swarms of xenomorphs and decidedes to travel to the planet where they think the xenomorphs orginate from.There they find there are multiple forms of xenomorphs.They manages to form a clone of a xenomorph that is able to communicate with them. And a peace is established. But as allways Weyland-Yutani has spies that want the xenomorph for their biological weapon program. And it is a surprice who the spy is. And that Weyland-Yutami has a lab on a spacestation not far from the xenomorph planet. Where they finds forms of xenomorphs that noone has seen before.

    The Justice Ladies also cleaned the police dept and saw AnnieK autopsy photos before Hank moved case file box. When Ladies saw instrument in hidden secret sub-floor lab had same shape as AnnieK wounds they put 2 and 2 together & solved her murder. The story they told was accurate and did not deviate from reveal to viewers on screen. Notice how none of scientists asked Ladies what is this about when they saw guns and were essentially kidnapped. They knew. Also, story was not just a story- as many assume about indigenous people’s stories. These are vitally important to culture and history. You never saw the Justice Ladies as important as a group - or strong 💪🏾 or smart- you never saw them period. Much like the scientist didn’t, and law enforcement didn’t - until the end.

    Many times it was suggested that several characters were unreliable narrators. Scenes we were seeing that didn't match the words they were telling other people. Danvers and Clark both had this happen. Clothing didn't match. Actions didn't match. You may need to rewatch to catch those things before criticism? 🙂

    Actually, the first time you see a ghost is Travis you just don’t know it right away many people see ghost, and it’s all understood that it’s just Ennis. Rose makes the comment that the world is getting old and Ennis is the place where it’s unraveling so I feel like there is the supernatural and there is the spirit element in there. It just wasn’t as prevalent to the story as we thought it was.

    Not only is the tongue being forgotten about and just placed their ridiculous but my question is that tongue is six years old. How is it not decomposed at all even a little bit it’s not been preserved. We don’t know who left it there, but it has not decomposed at all.

    Yes, we know what happened to Holden she did make the comment something like about him being trapped in that car or feeling pain or asking for his mommy so she made it clear that it was him and Jake in that car accident and that’s what killed him. She made that comment when her and Navarro were alone during the blizzard.

    The Wheeler incident was not seven or eight years ago. It was only three years ago so that could absolutely not be Leah as the baby Annie was murdered seven years ago, but the wheeler incident was only three years ago.

    The hate when the characters act as if they seem to know the script beforehand. What I mean by this is the death of the six scientists is treated with the emotion of a tough crossword puzzle to be solved. Anyone contact their families? Cops are standing around laughing around the "corpicle" pile. However, the murder of Annie is treated with the deference of a close family member to the lead detectives. In other words, the scientists are treated inhumanely post-mordum because well... they were later found to be bad men. However, Annie, several years dead, was treated with such reverance. Justice must be had for this good and heroic person.

    • @michaelwankewycz6209
      @michaelwankewycz6209 7 месяцев назад

      Let me just add that when you went around to describe the show with one word, I thought the most poignant word was men. The philosophy behind the story draws the conclusion that the default setting for men is that they are bad. This makes the ultimate goal of the women (from Annie, to Deavers adopted daughter, to the physically abused girlfriend, to the murdered wife, to the 2 lead female detectives, to the indigenous women) to bring evil men to justice.
