What would you say about Krishna's way? What kind of detachment-attachment is that? What about Osho's sannyas? 🙏🙏
Krishna taught that one should lbe committed to action, but not be attached to the outcome. He also taught that the world is an illusion and we shouldn't become attached to what isn't real. Osho taught that attachment leads to suffering. He said "If you love a flower, don’t pick it up. Because if you pick it up it dies, and it ceases to be what you love. So if you love a flower, let it be. Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation." He also said to be in the world, but not of the world. Be mindful that it's all just an illusion.
A lifelong intellectual quest where you only scratch the surface honestly doesn't sound too bad, there's a LOT of surface to explore and you'll never get bored with it. People spend their lives traveling the surface of the earth after all.
Learning isn't a bad thing, but imagine that you're thirsty and someone gives you a bottle of water. It's great water, and the label describes where the water came from, how it was extracted, how it was bottled and you read and learn all about it. You'll never know the true meaning of water until you actually take off the lid and drink it.
Very good!
Woah!! What a concise way to explain the nature of seeking and the attitude required for it. 🙏
He does tend to get right to the point sometimes, doesn't he? Thanks for your comment, Ravi!
Thank you for this transcendental talk!
I do get the point but how is someone being vegetarian "against" the Buddhas teachings? If someone is a mendicant monk and refuses any food being given to him because it contains meat, then it would be a violation of the vinaya. Otherwise monks and especially lay people being vegetarian is in no contradiction with the teachings. I say especially because someone's buying meat could be seen as indirectly participating in the killing of the animal and encouraging futher killing. That said vegetarianism is not expressly encouraged. Also say that in order to follow the buddhas path one should stop having sex? Where is this from?
Nirvana teaches that eating meat and having sex does not affect meditation. Not being aware while doing either does affect meditation.
I think it depends on ones own conciseness within the dream and not the 'so called 'teacher'
Absolutely! The teacher only points the way and identifies the obstacles that are in the way. The rest is up to the student.
This teacher is growing on me...thank you
He does have a way of doing that 🙂
Perfect.
I’ve studied, and read them all. Lord Buddha is the wisest teacher in the history of mankind. Sure, there are other teachers, and speakers of truth but none as profound as Lord Buddha. ☸️☯️☸️
Namaste! You articulated the point of liberation really well. Earth is a very sticky place, and we constantly make identifications, as you've pointed the monk becomes the idea of the monk. God becomes idea of the God. You were talking about detached attachment, so well put, I feel that is the only way. But it is not easy as it sounds. Unfortunately. The old Vasanas don't want to die easy and the removal of the raga and dvesha, or rather detaching from wants and aversions is not an easy process. Ultimately I believe only true surrender of technology we are using, mind and body, can lead to liberation. 🙏
You don’t understand Zen. Amituofo ☸️☯️☸️
Thanks for your comment. What's your understanding of Zen?
@@Nirvana.CommunityI answered twice but the comment is not in here. You will have to study yourself to understand why you incorrect about Zen.
Bhagawad Gita is the ultimate source of knowledge. Other paths are derived from it.
There are paths that aren't even aware of the Bhagawd Gita, and many of them ultimately lead to the truth. We must remember that all scriptures are written by man, and we shouldn't cling to any of them.
Only your own mind is the source of your insights and ultimate wisdom.
For a small moment, I didn't feel this body as mine. It was just here.
I really like that you differentiated between information, knowledge and wisdom. It's really worth contemplating. Wise words create an aura of wisdom to be subsumed into and then the words that created it disappear. Thanks for another great talk that gets right to the point.
🙏
This was beautiful. Thank you 🙏
Any thoughts on this being a simulation or something similar to the matrix. The more i look into it the more I'm starting to believe it.
It's not a simulation, it's self-hypnosis.
Thank you ❤
There were so many great points in this talk, so I went through it a second time and made a list of some of the ones that really rang true for me. • The moment you step away from the now and start imagining problems, adding more to your fears and worries, you enter into an endless loop of imaginative suffering. • We don't understand how much of our suffering is imagined, is created by us for ourselves. • Another word for disturbance is life. • If you are perfectly still, complete, nothing has to be added, nothing has to be removed, you are in a state of enlightenment. • Anything below that state, there is disturbance. • It is beyond the capabilities of the mind to understand something that is a part of the problem it has created itself. • Meditation deals with the problem of the mind, not problems created by the mind. It deals with the problem, the mind. • We do not fully understand what the body is. • We do not see the body as the extension of the mind. • Meditation is a way of staying as close as possible to truth. • Mind is a lie • Mind is interested in creating a world of its own. • You are not just a bundle of physical sensations, you are also you. • Until you understand that you are something that cannot be destroyed, you just keep coming back again and again. • What if meditation doesn't help you to manage your problems, it wants to remove your problems completely. It does not believe in temporary solutions. • You karmic impression of life and death which has become so deeply rooted in how you see things, how you experience things, has to be eroded first. • A mind that is perfectly still is a mind free of suffering. • Meditation is the path you take, the methods you use, the techniques you use, to still the waves of the mind. Thank you for another wonderful talk! 🔥💎
Thank you for sharing your wonderful insights! 🙏
Damn.... so if science and religion set aside their differences and try to meet at the center, something that is also nothing or nothingness could remain, right ?
Yes!
Thank you ❤.
But were's the thinker of thoughts ?Isn't that also a thought ? There's no such thing as seeing ,just thinking ,try to see without thinking ,impossible .
Everything is thoughts. When you can get still enough and quiet enough to experience no thoughts, the body goes with the thoughts, and you experience consciousness. Consciousness lies beyond thoughts.
This man deserves to be recorded in 4K
We're working on it! Hopefully internet fiber is coming our way this year.
This talk was an absolute gem! It's very refreshing to think of the self as one big 'eye' as opposed to an 'I' ..lol Excuse my feeble attempt at humor. Seriously though, if words can only be pointers, then this talk had some of the best pointers I've ever heard. Some of what you said about thought seems like it should be obvious, but you drove your point home so well that I realized although I have been experiencing basically the same perception, it has been much more superficial than I realized. Then as I was listening, a 'weird' idea occurred to me. What if thoughts could be made to collide into each other like subatomic particles are in a linear accelerator? What would be the underlying reality of the thoughts be? Sorry ..just thinking out loud again. Thank you for this amazing talk!
Beautiful comments, thank you!
Thank you ❤
bhai aapko bachpan mai schhol ma kitne marks milte the??
can you share a link of that locket. Ying Yang One.
Thank you ❤.
How can you seek for what you already have.
Sometimes words get in the way….seeking in this instance is more of a clearing out of everything we’ve accumulated that hides our true nature. It’s still seeking, just seeking within. Good question ❤
though is not a particle.! is that an argument here?
You’re correct. A thought is not a particle. What he is saying is that thoughts are powerful…so powerful they can create and destroy.
I thoroughly enjoy your discourses. May I ask what book you are reading? Have you studied the Astavakra Gita? Thanks.
He's always reading a book, and right now he is reading Dante's "The Divine Comedy." Yes, Nirvana has studied the Astavakra Gita. Thanks for your comments!
Thank you very very much.this encourages me greatly.❤🙏👍👍👍👍
I enjoyed your exposition of consciousness as the steady, continuing experience we have in contrast to the coming and going of perceptual variation, therefore rendering consciousness as our essential nature. I found your statements regarding the dichotomy between mind (thought) and body (physicality) confusing, though. From what I understand, within the axiom of consciousness as primary due to its unchanging stability, both thought and body are perceptual variations within consciousness. In the end of your discourse it seems you made a statement regarding thought as more essential or primary than body. The impression is that you were conflating consciousness with thought, since you made an argumentative case for the primacy of unchanging consciousness over thought and body earlier in your discourse but never did it for the primacy of thought over body (both of which I perceive as movement, and therefore as changing). So I am left undecided, either for the primacy of thought or the primacy of the body, based on my perceived lack of your argumentation, although I am left rather convinced of the primacy of consciousness and so thank you for the discourse. Did I miss what you said in support of your statement of the primacy of thought over body?
If we can accept that consciousness is primary, then it isn't hard to see that thoughts come before the body. It is infinitely easier for consciousness to generate a thought as opposed to creating a body. Body is a more complex thought. What we recognize as body is simply a collection of the most repetitive thoughts.
@@Nirvana.Community Thank you for the reply. I understand the greater simplicity of thoughts and therefore the likeliness of their preceding existence in relation to the body. Can you elaborate further on how a body is a collection of most repetitive thoughts, rather than a collection of various differing thoughts?
@@alexp.s.4419 You are what you think. The more you think about something the chances increase for it to become reality. Random, different thoughts don't have as much impact.
Various differing thoughts are not necessarily random, though. They could work in association even though they are not the same. Which makes me wonder if there is really a greater likelihood of a thought becoming something more by it being repeated or by it being associated with a variety of other, possibly supportive, thoughts. In my personal experience, repetitive thoughts tend to dissuade me from continuing to engage with them and therefore to make something more of them. This situation regarding repetitive thoughts is more often expressed in me through boredom or annoyance, and therefore avoidance, than it is expressed through creativity, and therefore transformation. So your statements regarding thoughts and reality are foreign to me, although I can relate to some extent to the cumulative (but negative) impact of repetitive thoughts. I'm still interested in understanding the possibility of a body being formed by repetitive thoughts, instead of being disturbed by them. If you have any more insights that could help me to understand that perspective, I'd like to know them. Thank you for the time and attention that you are giving to this discussion. I really appreciate it. (Reposting with a different version of my last post because it seems RUclips did not register it and I could only recover part of it and had to rewrite the end. This disclaimer is in the case the other post resurfaces and it seems doubled, although it is not. )
i dont think thoughts are physical
You're right, thoughts are not physical. The point is that they have a huge impact on what we perceive as physical. Thanks for the comment!
So when you don’t have a body, when you die, you can still think and you can still dream? And how would you or anyone know that to be true? How can you experience thoughts without a body? When we are dreaming, how can you say we don’t have a body? We may not be aware of the body as we are in the waking state. But that does not mean that the body is not there and that our thoughts/dreams are not being produced by and in a brain that must exist for thoughts and dreams to occur
Enlightenment is that moment when you experience yourself as a pure being without the interference of the mind and the body. Nirvana has spent the last 10 years in meditation. He is sharing his personal experience. Each moment of existence is complete, if you can experience something without the body, then it simply means that the body, just like thoughts, comes and goes. The fact that it is possible for you to be lost in a dream, without awareness of the body, means that you are not your body. You are something more.
@@Nirvana.Communityindeed I am amazed by the sharing on this channel. However, awareness within a dream is probably fuelled by the brain and body. To have a dream experience, there is a need for energy of some sort. I take your point about what Enlightenment may be, though of course I have not experienced it so don't know about it. But the thoughts or awareness or experience of the dream cannot so easily be inferred to be out of the body or away from the body as you make it out to be. Deeply grateful. An avid fan of this channel and deeply respectful of every word you say and every idea and experience that you share 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@DevendraTak I think you have a very good point about the energy required for awareness and it made me consider some possibilities. A body can be understood as an energetic storage holding the capacity for the release of energy as needed for experiential enactment. With that definition in mind, we can postulate that there are many kinds of bodies besides our conventional understanding of individual (wakeful or dreaming) bodies. For example, there may be collective bodies of some sort that can sustain individual awareness without an individual body, which could explain how we as aware beings are not necessarily dependent on our individual bodies for an experience of awareness. This possibility wouldn't need to conflict with the experience of enlightenment either, since the concept of the experience of enlightenment is usually referring to the transformation of individual experience towards something less or more than individual, or even altogether to a transformation most naturally individual.
Great video! Thank you! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
We have one life. Why go in search of Nirvana when we can enjoy the life to the fullest with it's ups and down.
We don't have one life. The body dies, but "you" don't. We'll just keep doing it over and over again until we figure it out. Nirvana is when you figure it out. No one says that life is worse after Nirvana - all the enlightened teachers say it's the most beautiful thing they've ever experienced. You still have emotions, you still have a body, you can still drive a car, go on vacation.... all that, but after Nirvana you understand life completely and then you can play with life and when this body's time is up, you just merge into consciousness and don't have to fool with losing a body every few years.
have fun!
@@Nirvana.CommunityWe will never understand life completely
There is no difference between a person seeking nirvana or a person seeking materialistic things. At the end of the day you are always in search of something and seeking something. Why seek something which you are not sure exists, while you can make use of the present life and live it to the fullest
@@rahulk8251 You do have a point. This is where one chooses between the red pill and the blue pill.

Wise words... It really helped me to hear this today. Thank you for sharing! :)

I thought you are harsh beniwal 😂
Nirvana is harsh sometimes, but he always speaks the truth. 🙏
love it!
I SUPPOSE YOU WOULD CLASS NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES [WHEN PRONOUNCED DEAD FOR A TIME] AS DREAMS ? Yet, it maybe your dream in doing that?? We can only trust our OWN experience
Everything we experience while still in this realm is part of our dream, so if a person "dies" but really doesn't die, then yes, a near-death experience is part of the dream. Death is a subjective experience of an individual. Only when one transcends the dream through awakening can they consciously move beyond the dream.
