mine has no meaning, im just here till cardiac arrest. my life is not normal like everybody else. no friends no job no skills no nothing no kids im just here as a spectator to see how life should be but i dont experience it as such. one lesson i have learned is to never get close to people because they will either die or let me down or abandon me.

A very interesting and important study. However, I see in africa only 4 countries picked out. I do not know the criteria but africa is pretty diverse and those countries might not give a representative sample. For instance, in East Africa, I see kenya and Tanzania as the countries included in the study. However, those two countries are more similar than uganda which was left out of the study. When we go outside the original east African countries, we have Rwanda and Burundi…and even those can not be well represented.

What? because Substances have essential and accidental properties the principle of non-contradiction is not valid?? I have never heard something like that and I could not follow the argument.

I am such a fan of Dr. Park's work. Proper psychometric and analytical work on meaning is deeply needed!

I agree, as a philosopher working on meaning, Park's papers have been so extremely helpful to me. Most of the philosophy and psychology on meaning has opposite problems - too removed from people's actual concerns, or not conceptually rigorous enough respectively - Park's work is one of the best examples of research on either side that bridges that gap.
