For now, I am not really used to making yt video, but I'm sure I'll post a video called "my first voice over video" some day.
I'm all for Zed, but minor variations in compilation time are expected in different contexts, mostly due to scheduling i/o operations. Considering the Rust borrow checker and Bevy's dependencies, this is understandably exaggerated to something like 2 seconds. Sorry to say, but even though Zed is arguably more power efficient and responsive than VS Code in many ways, your terminal emulator's performance doesn't improve the performance of rustc or any CLI program. If you really want to get substantial metrics between the two programs, test things like startup time, resource usage, and power draw.
I mean. I. mostly use Zed for Rust and Python. As a languages that is mostly writen in Rust, I don't think that is a good comparison. I have dig through the community as well as watch some video about Zed. Zed can only be use for Mac as it uses the GPU to compile,
