Lovely book. Hopefully they will be able to release in the US someday. I love anything with frogs in it, so that last one was perfect to me!! I’m gonna participate in your SAL. Went to the Owl Forest site to specifically get the Dandelion pattern….but ended up with 5-6 more!! I will have to decide on one by the end of the month!❤

Oh, wow. Beautiful book. I especially love the Pomegranate sampler. The colour scheme is just perfect, but my favourite is the singing cats 😍 Thank you for sharing the book with us. I too have an interest in Japanese culture, so was very taken with the Owl forest Carp chart, however I think I prefer the Cranes....fish not really being my thing.😅 Your Ciri was also a new designer to me, not my type of chart or subject matter, but I somloved seeing your progress and your working out the best stitch method for those pesky quarter stitches, heritage kits are full of them.....I know, I'm currently stitching a train. 😮 Thank you so much for sharing, I really enjoy listening to you, and catching up with your progress.

Hi Maria, I started Part 2 this morning and realised I'd missed Part 1 so I went back to that first! I think you’ve chosen a perfect fabric for your mermaid. Great video, Maria! 👍 I also stitch primarily on scroll frames! I use 2 brands: Millennium and Artisan Designs. I use scroll frames because I don’t like how hoops and Q-snaps leave marks/wrinkles, crush stitches, and distort the weave of the fabric, as you showed. On occasion, I might use a hoop/Q-snap for a small project that fits completely in the available space. My scroll frames are a bit different from yours, but what I’ve learned from you today is that I can sew some fabric onto the top and bottom to avoid unnecessary fabric usage which lessens waste/cost!
