Forged Viking Axe
In this video i turn this old claw hammer that was my Grandfathers into a Viking themed small axe. I will first punch the old handle out and get the head of the hammer into the forge. I show how i forge to finish the spike on the back and the axe head in the front. I also wanted to use to original handle that was on the hammer to try to keep to the original parts. This video was an honor to make and it came out very nice. I also wanted to add some finishing touches including the engraving of the word BERSERKER in old Norse Futhark Runes and adding a leather wrap to it as well. Finished it off with a coat or Orange oil Beezwax on tha handle and axe head. Thanks for watching and please Like...

Railroad Spike Coat rack
Просмотров 2424 месяца назад
This is my process of making one of my versions of the Railroad spike coat rack with a twist, using scrap steel and wood. I use some excess shotgun shell and cut the caps off to putt on the head of the RR spike head. 1st I heat up a few RR spikes in the forge to then twist them a few inches down. Then cutting the heads 2 1/2'' down. Then cleaning up the twist portion of the RR spike head to mak...
Kitchen Knife Restoration
Просмотров 647 месяцев назад
This video I take one my older kitchen knives from my early bladesmithing days and restored it to prime shape. I first started by removing the old wood scales that were not glued very well along with the epoxy and pins. I show my process in detail removing the scales, assembling new scales and finishing the edge. The scales I used were a forest green and white acrylic with green G10 liners to c...

This video I forge out a beautiful heart shaped candle holder from 3/4''x1/8''x36'' flat stock of mild steel. I show the hand forging process plus fab and finish of this item. I specifically made this candle holder for my wife for Valentines Day as the idea came to me one day in the garage practicing some different bends and scroll work. I hope you enjoy this video and process please make sure ...

Nicely done i love it
I split wood, not do that
What happened to your grizzly 2×42. I just bought one. I haven't made anything yet. It will be my first grinder. Should be here in a few days. Any tips on using it? Unfortunately I didn't buy the warranty. Im just going to chance it
Curious how the grinder is doing after a year?
It was doing fine for a whole then had to send the motor in for replacement because it was overheating quite fast. After replacement it's been working fine. I did however weld a new steel platen on in replacement for the platen they had
💪👍🙂
You do realise runic is read from right to left and not left to right.
Appreciate your input, but you spelled realize wrong
@@BerserkerBlades yes auto correct is fun.
Well, realise is the British version...
Fantastic looking axe man. Any forging related tattoos?
@donevenson1911 Thanks much appreciated...unfortunately not yet but I should be able to find a spot somewhere
@@BerserkerBlades you should get Hephaestus
@@donevenson1911 ive definitely thought about it or Hemdal
Simply fantastic, congratulations friend
@@Claudio-v7g Thank you....very much appreciated
This is so amazing as you have skillfully remastered your great-grandfathers hammer into an old world beautiful axe! Nice work!
That’s fire bro!🔥🔥
This is my favorite project you made so far. Great ax man!
This is amazing!!
@sickeninng Thanks much appreciated
Nice job, doing all that without distorting the eye is a good trick!
Thank you! I very much appreciate it. Yea I tried to make sure that eye wasn't involved in any hammering as much as possible.
Love the handle wrapping and the color of the nails look really good with the forge scale and the shiny edges!
I really like the forge scale with the shiny edges and the handle and wrap are sweet.
Still don’t know why people like decorating things with shells or casings
Why not?
Very cool. Will definitely check it out in person next time I'm over. Now I want to save some casings next time I practice shooting.
I really love the detail on the brackets!
I like the red stain with the shells.
How much price in pakistan
Think it could do mower blades too?
Absolutely
Thank you!
Love watching you work. Glad I jumped on board…. Keep it up…..
Thanks man I appreciate it more than you know!
Like the quick version too! Haha 👊
Thanks bud!
Definitely a major upgrade!!! Not only in performance but looks also!!! Love the acrylic scales! Great work brother!….. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that cool of acrylic pattern before 🤟
Thanks bud! Much appreciated
The handles are spring pull indexed , Pull out for clearance tighten and repeat. I can’t get over how many people are cutting there handles up Jeezzzz.
Nice man!!! That looks like a fun build!
That's looks great, good job sir👍👍😎
Thank you very much!
Dude that’s a cool idea! Nice work!
Full video on the channel!
What a beautiful piece! It's such a a timeless look and would look great anywhere! Love it!
Good work
Thank you! Much appreciated
I like the stem.
Remember to keep that steel glowing, don’t want any stress fractures!
Good Job 🙂 Your anvil stand is taller than standard sizes. Because of that, your hands are more injured
Appreciate your concern my anvil stand is exactly where I like it...ive experimented a few times my hands are fine though. 🙂
Great work
Good work
Thank you!
Those guards need to go!
Already took them off I usually do
Already did I usually do just didn't in the video
The platen is too big for the belt useless for grinding into the ricasso area. Blade wanders under load more than I have ever seen either the belt tension is to low or there needs to be a bigger crown on the guide wheel. This is not a knifemakers grinder as it is. This is more of a tinkerers tool or hobbyist tool.
Good job! Good quality of the video!
Thank you! Much appreciated
Dope AF Christmas ornament, @BerserkerBlades!
Thanks!
Dope AF knife, Berserker Blades! Now you've gotta stitch up an equally dope sheath for it as well!
already in the works my friend
Nice job. In french it s possible?
Cool remake of a tool for sure. Most people would never think to make a crowbar a knife.
Dude that thing looks pretty sweet!
Are your hands okay?
Yea why wouldn't they be
I was under the impression that crowbars were pretty much mild steel, or at least low-carbon enough to not really hold an edge. Interesting knife!
2:15 Those handles are probably spring loaded and act like built in wrenches. The same kind are on the axis locks of my grizzly mill. You just pull out on the handle and the handle can then rotate independently from the bolt, so you can get a better angle and keep turning the bolt. They are designed that way to give you better leverage than a handle short enough to spin all the way around does.
They are there is no need to cut it
Awesome!!!!!
Been reading on their reviews of motors and controllers burning up. Any issues so far?
Well yes and no. Lately my motor is heating up rather fast so I've been putting a fan on it. Called Grizzly and there sending me another motor hopefully that does the trick. Everything else is amazing to me.
Looks Awesome!!!
Dude! That thing turned out sick!
