Solution take one bucket ( metal or plastic) fill with water, hold rat under water for several minutes or until it stops struggling .no need to repeat procedure.

Long story short at 12 my dog was starting to have seizures. He had probably a dozen in the span of less than 3 months and hasn't had one for about 60 days now. The meds did not help him but making sure he was on a strict diet of only dog food, no table scraps, and just his pain meds wrapped in a little bit of cheese has helped stopped them. I can't remember what it was on his blood work that had elevated levels and was probably the reason of the seizures, but when I was told to keep him on strictly dog food and no more table scarps I listened. He had quite a few early on then a couple stretched out over the last month that he had one. Also when he was seizing I would talk to him loudly to try to get him to snap out of it. It does work sometimes. I'm not saying don't take the meds for your dog, they just had a bad reaction on mine and wasn't doing him any good. It's tough seeing your dog go through this, but hang in there, hopefully it will get better for your dog. If you have any questions about my experiences just let me know. All the people that want to help an animal having a seizure: The best thing you can do is let it run its course and then comfort the animal afterwards IF it wants comforting. Some just want to be left alone. Picking up an animal seizing is dangerous for both of you. I'm sorry about the cute little puppy. My own puppy has seizures but not so violent or so long and I watched this in an effort to learn more about what could be causing them.

I'm sorry about the dog. He looks like a cutie. It's hard to deal with watching but it is something people need to know. Your dog can't tell you it's sick or it's not feeling well This is something you have to look for.
