Agree. Sleeping straight up can be quite pleasant in the regional aircraft. But the bed is narrower, compared to the long haul plane. Really look forward to the next gen Biz seat.

I was too young to be able to afford business class in 2017. 😅🤣

I still prefer this seat over being Qatar'ed to be honest. The chances of not getting Qsuites is quite high. SQ on the other hand, is very consistent and you know for certain what you can expect. Of course, it's not perfect but personally, I have not had a bad experience. And forget EK, their 2-3-2 in B777 is atrocious. A380 seat is better but not available on all routes, especially short ones like you mentioned. So, it's not an Apple for Apple comparison either. Etihad is good but network footprint is still small compared to the other two MEA carriers.

@ Hi Max, thanks for watching my video 😊. For me SO/ Bangkok has a better buffet spread and club lounge. Service at both places are equally good, friendly and attentive. I would stay at both places. Perhaps, Sofitel first to get around and explore then SO/ for the last few days to relax.
