I think the issue that Reddit had was that they were expecting a particular sound from Infinite, and so they failed to realize how good the song is by itself cuz they were comparing it to their old stuff. And Infinite was also known for their bridges, so that’s a part of it. I know I found this video a year late but thank you for reacting!

Happy New Year! Thank you for the reaction! This came out after Christmas, and it fits the January/Februar vibe perfectly and gives it a bit of warmth. Admittingly, after 'It's okay', I found this a bit underwhelming at first, but it has really grown on me. It's not a song for all year round, but I really wanted to hear it as soon as we had the first snow.

Thank you for the reaction! 'This is love' is one of my favourites. The Mamacita comeback was also my first comeback after getting to know and love them in 2013 (same album). Thus, it does contain a lot of nostalgia for me. I knew they could sing from Sorry Sorry Answer and their ballads, but this was something I hadn't heard of them and I loved the classy, but somehow laidback style. The high notes at the end are all from Ryeowook. This really high note runs are most of the time from him (sometimes Kyuhyun, even though Yesung does most of the other runs). Eunhyuk has a really nice falsetto, which he displays beautifully here, but particularely at that time you won't really hear him do runs, let alone such difficult ones. For fun Songs, why not try 'Rokugo' or 'Oops'? For the second one try to get one with subtitles. The first one can go without (it lives of Korean wordplays which don't make sense to non-Koeans, but it's still hilarious). For something more rocky, why not try 'Rockstar'? You need to see these live. The live footage on TeukiNicki's channel are usually fine for reactors.

LUCY's debut song is called Flowering. It has an insane violin solo! (The lead singer's name is Sangyeop 😂)

This song is so pretty. I love his voice and the instrumentation. As for production, Stray Kids is self produced, so this is all them.

I know people talk about how sexy this song is, but I think it's about as sexy as The Police's Every Breath You Take (let me date myself here). It's obsessive, gloomy, and creepy even without the mv. The sound of it is not sexy times to me. I think that's why it works so well with the narrative of the mv, in which I think Bang Chan is showing his particular struggle with his driven, obsessive, insomniac dark side. The song and mv remind me strongly of DPR Ian not just in aesthetics but also in its exploration of self. Lord that sounds pompous and really screams english major. I love a good subtext. All the solos are worth a listen and give each member a chance to shine. Han's and Seungmin's have more of a rock sound, which you might enjoy.

I agree Lay has a lot of charisma, very handsome, and has a very good presence over all. He has a few "rules" for what defines a song as m-pop, and one of those is using traditional Chinese instruments in the arrangement- which Lay does for most of his title tracks. "Kai Tian" has the small hand drums throughout and the suona in the chorus (ancient reed instrument). He makes all kinds of songs in different genres, (he works on every part of the song himself at his studio in China) but he is most proud to release music that shows his culture, Lay is a pioneer in this newer genre of music dubbed "m-pop" or "mandarin-pop". This song and LIT are creative interpretations of Chinese folklore or historical characters. I know you mentioned not listening to LIT for now, but I highly recommend it, that song is the epitome of drama and cinematic MVs. Also, Lay and some of the other EXO members are not signed with SM anymore (Lay runs his own company), and of course some EXO members are still signed with SM too, however all members allowed to participate in and release music under the name EXO together and since Lay's Chinese (political tensions) Lay doesn't do much actively with the members because of backlash from 'fans' in SKorea and China, and also his own busy solo schedule now (multiple solo world tours and filming movies or dramas). Lay has participated in the "Tempo" EXO album and "Don't Fight The Feeling" most recently with EXO, even appearing in the MV, and he also performed his solo song "Psychic" in SKorea this last year. He's also posted a few interactions with EXO on social media over the years. 👍

Rosé came up with the idea for Apt 'apateu' it's her favorite drinking game and she was showing her friends (they people she was working with she calls them friends) how to play it and everyone became obsses with it that's how the idea was born. She recorded the first version of Apt a year before. When Rosé recently joined Atlantic Records to release her album she found out Bruno was on the label too she told the story of how she went to his concert in S. Korea the previous year and realized how huge of a fan of his she is. She asked if he might be interested in a collab they said to send Bruno 3 songs. Rosé was thrilled that Bruno was even going to listen to her music she didn't even really dream the collab would actually happen. Rosé's team was against sending Bruno Apt they felt he would never go for it, but Rosé felt different she was sure if Bruno was going to pick one it would be Apt. At the last minute without telling anyone she pulled on of the songs and added Apt instead sending Bruno her songs '3am', 'number one girl', and 'Apt'. Bruno asked Rosé what Apt means by this time they had become friendly and were speaking when she told him it's a Korean drinking game he loved it and singed up and 'the rest is history' as Rosé said. Bruno's involvement with Rosé didn't stop there he gave her some tips on how to make one of the other songs she sent him a bit more emotional. Bruno has co-writing and co-producing credit on that song 'number one girl'. Bruno did even stop there Rosé was trying to decide on album titles she was originally going to go with 'number one girl' after the song title, but Bruno pushed for 'rosie' the name her friends and family call her by. After seeing early IRL desins for the alubm with 'rosie' she loved it and agreed seeing it in real life sold her and that's the name she went with. When Rosé was interviewed on Jimmy Fallon she said Bruno was a mentor and really helped her finsish up her album. Now Bruno Mars is picky about who he even collabs with imagine what he saw in Rosé and her music to become that involved. Then he even went beyond those early funny post with Rosé on IG when she posted photos with her co-star Evan Mock from another video Bruno made a jealous commnet they played the whole thing up for a bit it was really funny. But yeah that's what Bruno has done for Rosé. They were supposed to do the first Apt perfomance in Brazil at one of Bruno's shows that's why Rosé went their and they went viral with a bunch of videos they posted and greeting fans. The perfomacen was canceld due to the weather. Later Rosé asked Bruno to perform with her at the MAMA (korean award show) Awards in Japan. Bruno cancelded his Vegas show to go with Rosé and perfom not only that they sat toghter through the whole award show and accepted an awrad. So Bruno sat though an entire award show where he counl't understand a word to support Rosé. Luckly English is her fist lanuge she has an Aussie accent so they could atleast talk.

Rosé just dropped her full debut studio album 'rosie' Apt is the lead singel and yeah I don't have to tell you about it what I can tell you it was way out of left field for Rosé who was always known for her vocals and doing more introspective songs and ballads. I wouldn't call her album kpop Rosé is a kpop idol but she took a huge step aways form kpop writing about her own personal storeis and realtionships (idols are not even allowed to admit they date Rosé is now openly talking about her relationships and saying that the songs on her album are her own personal stories and relastionships) She even expressed that her role in Blackpink as Rosé is more a charcter she plays where this album is tyring to both find and express who she is as an artist. She has another single with a music video 'number one girl' this one really showcases what Rosé is best known for her vocals. Bruno was a co-proudcer and co-writer on the song and Rosé directed the music video. Her newest music video is 'toxic till the end' which is totally different than the other two and the music video is like a movie with a story. These are all from her debut studio album 'rosie' which explores different genres and is being praised critically for her lyricism and songwriting. She even has an R&B track on there. Rosé co-wrote and co-composed all the songs and she was executive producer for the album. (Rosé is the only member of Blackpink to have writing credit on all there solo music I think that represents who she is an artist) She owns the masters and publishing rights to all the songs Apt included. Rosé alwasy kind of stoop out in kpop as a differnet type of idol for one her deep passion for music people could just tell by the way she spoke about music and her respect for it she wasn't just doing this for fame or riches, also she played guitar and piano since childhood. She was known as the Aussie indie girl with a guitar not your typical kpop idol image. So Rosé on stage wtih Blackpink and Rosé alone are very different everyone got the singer-songwriter vibe from her even while she was in Blackpink sometimes you can just get a vibe from someone and that's what Rosé gave off to a lot of people. Rosé is currently breaking her own group Blackpink and PSY (gangnam style) 12 year old records. It's a no skip album. I wouldn't count this as K-Pop anymore either, Rosé (the accent on the syllable tells you how it is to be pronounced) is like a featured artist here who happens to be Korean, but that doesn't make it automatically bad. It's ok and fun, just not very original, it's very generic pop, the melody has been done similarly many times.

Love this: song, video, choreo, everything, it's a K-pop classic. This is from their "Devil" era, with which they started a retro jazz pop sound that they've been known for since then, and which RIIZE has come closest to. I think the ad libs here are mostly by Ryeowook. Regarding their controversies, they are completely overblown: most are old (and they've apologized, atoned and changed since then), exaggerated or untrue entirely, but haters like to keep bringing them up. They've made some mistakes, but they are just human. If they had done something downright evil, I wouldn't be a fan anymore. Just ignore the haters.

I just want to mention that there is a boycott right now including N.ssign due to them being overworked and mistreated by their agency, the support you can see is by their japanese fans that do not see a problem with them working without any vacation or having 4 members going on long time hiatus and 3 of them leaving, so I hope you will consider that and be part of this boycott

I read a review that made me immediately hop on RUclips. A "genderless" concept is catnip for me. The chanting is kinda meh, but my god their singing voices. Alluring is the perfect descriptor. I hope they will get standout material to perform because anything less would be a waste of their talents. But why does only one member get a super delicious hairstyle?
