Great recording, thank you very much, but could you please put all five parts into one video?

It would be easy to get each movement and put it all together with a script. If you are not too tech-savvy maybe Google and ChatGPT could help. Just saying because I doubt the uploader will reply at this point.

One of the most beautiful compositions from Shostakovich.

Everyone attempting to play this great work should certainly first listen to this with the composer himself at the piano. In the Intermezzo especially he makes it clear that steadiness of tempo is crucial, with rubati... poco rit. etc. so very subtly managed... as are the dynamics and balance of the players. Calmness... not intensity pervades it all. It's shocking how some of the other performances seem not to grasp what the composer himself shows us here that he intends.

it is on Spotify - with Barshai playing viola - a friend of Shostakovich. But does everything have to be on spotify in any case most of it lacks any documentation on there.

Thanks so much for sharing this- You can't get any better than a recording with Shostakovich himself!
