Making a Bow
Hello! This video edit is focused on making the bow with only primitive tools made primitive. The string for the bow has to be made of strong fibers. Plant fibers are only strong enough for weaker bows.
I am making a weaker (quickie) bow and arrows for hunting. Hopefully I can get a critter for its sinew for bowstring material.

Making fire with hand drill

The drill and fire board are both sun dried Yucca stalks. The real name of the hand drill is “fire sticks.” The method is to use speed rather than force. It will take experience and blisters.

Hello there! I’m back! Here I am showing you the right way to cook Locusts and grasshoppers. The bigger ones need more cooking and it’s best to remove the legs and wings too. The little ones you can Leave on. Taking the head off will take out all the entrails and parasites. I generally cook mine with sticks poked into them but I’ve hot rock cooked them before to. An Atlatl is a good weapon for a far range target. A spear is better for close range.I made this spear for self defense in the bush. Making the spear head was the hardest and it was unpredictable whether it would break or not during the process. The wood I used for the staff is walnut and the cordage material is the inner bark of Slippery elm. I used pine resin for a more secure spear head. I h...

Making my primitive workshop using grass, cedar poles and mud.
Просмотров 4605 месяцев назад
Hello! In this video I made my primitive made workshop using the cedar trees and grass thatch from my first lean-to project. Although it is very useful for storing my tools in and for building projects I made one mistake. The mud I used for the walls have no eaves to protect it from the rain. Which when the wall is wet will turn back to mud.I plan later to construct eaves.

Other channels use RUclips subtitles - this allows you not to be distracted by the text on half the screen, they can be shown longer so that you can have time to read and this allows you to create subtitles in different languages
