Friends of Alexandra Palace Theatre

The Victorian theatre at Alexandra Palace in north London is being restored. It opened in 1875 but was abandoned over 65 years ago. This series of videos will tell the story of why it is so special and its chequered history. Restoration is now taking place - and there is a fund raising campaign at fundraising@alexandrapalace.com

Letting The Grass Grow
The story of the railway that served Alexandra Palace. The film was made in the '60 safter the line was closed but shows the track and derelict stations, along with the scenes around the neighbourhood, and when the 41 was a Routemaster and the bus to the Palace was a 233 and not some weird W route. (Where did the Ws come from?)
