Keychron K3 Low Profile Switches Sound Test
Просмотров 176 тыс.3 года назад
Just received the mechanical switch tester in the mail and thought a little sound test might be helpful for some people. Column 1: Gateron Column 2: Gateron Low Profile Column 3 4: Keychron Optical Low Profile (Hot Swappable)
In this video the low profiles sounded nearly just as loud or louder than the regular switches however, I have both low profile red switch and low profile blue switch keyboards and they both sound a lot more subdued and quieter than the regular sized blue and red switches. I don't think the sound is accurate until keycaps are added.
It's because he put the microphone righn on the desk, which picks up the vibrations from the bottoming out of the keycaps. Bad sound test.
Gateron lubed switches are good. Akko lubed switches are good too
still waiting for the silent low profile switches to release
0:29 red low profile 0:37 black low profile
Blue = garbage
Gatron Low Profile: 0:22 Blue 0:28 Red 0:34 Brown
just be careful when you bought the keychron low profile that has "hotswapable" title on it, the "hotswapable" means it only hotswapable between optical switches or mechanical switches. It cannot be interchanged between optical and mechanical
brown gets clicky on low profile... wow
👇👇👇👇 Thanks 👍👍
don't mind this comment, it's for my own personal research 😅 0:27, 0:32 0:28, 0:34
anyone know if the gateron and keychon are swappable on the k3 pro?
How does this not have 1 million likes already?
@kVilafria I know, right? You can support me by watching the video 900.000 more times!
It's because the sound test is ruined by him having the microphone on the desk picking up the loud thuds of the key bottoming out creating an inaccurate sound. This video is worthless for anyone wanting to see what these switches sound like.
Very useful indeed. Made me change my mind 😂
hi, can i use gateron standart profile keycaps to low profile keycaps?
Dang I should've gotten the Gateron browns. The optical browns are definitely too clicky -- both in person and on screen. And it's not like I'd switch them out. Damn.
Great to see a blue switch without rattle, great video!!!
How is the tactile feedback between the blue gateron and the blue keychron optical? I know the gateron has a sligtly longer actuation point and travel. But I read somewhere the optical is smoother/better but I can't remember exactly how.
which one had more of a click. bought the red k3 does not have a click or feedback feel
This may be a silly question, but do you know if you could use the same keycaps on each of these switches. I ask because I have the low profile blue (1st row, second from the left) and would ideally like to switch to a cherry silver.
well as I am the quiet type I love the red low profile mechanical switch.
I have the K3 in the Keychron optical browns. But even compared to the Gateron browns in my K2V2 they are just too quiet. So I'm debating between the Blues or the orange. I have Gateron Blues in my K4 at work, but really leaning to the Oranges. Any advice here?
Do the Low Profile Clicky switches use a click bar or a click jacket?
Thanks man
a great test. tnx
This was great help. Thanks, Chris!
Whig ones are the optical keys?
The ones on the right, keychron made
Do the low profile switches fit on an Mx hot swappable board
no, they have different ports
My comment was from three years ago 😂😂😭@@cuerex8580
Большое спасибо.
They sound nice, but the keycaps are disposable. Just like buying a disposable keyboard 🥴
Click to compare low profile blue; red; Brown 0:04 & 0:11 & 0:17
Do you have any suggestion on keycap for the gateron low profile ?
i hate blue
What’s the white one called and the orange one too please?
Is the Keychron Low Profile Optical switch Quieter than Gateron Low Profile Mechanical switch?
sounds like Yes. Especially, I feel quite different between Optical brown and Mechanical Brown. most of Optical one sounds clicky for me.
Finally
are the opticals rattle?
Wich switch u bought after that? how is the feeling in the long term?
where can i get this? thank you
so can you convert normal switches on your keyboard to low profile switch?
Keycaps can drastically alter the sound... Would be nice to hear all of them with them on.
I highly agree. I have both regular blue switch keyboard as well as a low profile blue and even though in the video the low profile blue sound louder than the regular blue, in reality with low profile switches sound a lot more subdued and have far less echo than regular blue switches. I absolutely love low profile red switches, they are my favourite.
thank you for this I haven't been able to find any videos doing anything at all for what I needed!!!!
Gateron: 0:01 0:08 0:14 Gateron Low Profile: 0:03 0:09 0:16
which switch is quietest and second quietest in your opinion? @chrisgrabinski
This video is perfect if you also tried it with keycaps
Are the pcb pins/pin layout the same on the new gateron low profiles as the regular gateron mechanicals? Would like to know so I can tell if they are compatible with an off the shelf pcb. Haven’t been able to find anything about the pins on the new low profiles. Thanks!
They are not :( I just got the Nuphy 75 with Gateron Browns and looked at the pinouts. The pinouts are different between this and every other keyboard I own, which sucks. Having hot-swap sockets on a low-profile switch is pretty pointless since you only have a couple of options.
I like the Gateron low profile red, low profile and sounds quiet
Estou na dúvida entre o red e brown. Não consigo decidir.
The keychron opticals sound scratchy to me vs. the gateron
Yes, they definitely do.
yep. too bad the gaterons arent swappable...
Can anyone please tell me the difference between the low profile blues and the low profile orange switches.
Sure, the orange ones take a little more force to press. You can find a table with all the specs of the different switches on Keychron's website (scroll down a bit): www.keychron.com/products/low-profile-keychron-optical-switch-set-87-pcs
Too bad u can't tell which ones would actuate before the click.
