In last nights game against the NY Rangers, a 5-3 Caps win, Alexander Ovechkin scores his 856th and 857th goals in his chase to catch, and beat, Wayne Gretzky's all time NHL goal scoring record. With 4 goals in 8 games now this season, Ovechkin is on pace to tie Gretzky this season!

Flyers Goaltending... Sam Ersson comes up big, notching a shutout win over the host Boston Bruins last night in Boston. For the Bruins, in goal, backup goalie Jonas Korpisalo was red hot and played the best game I've ever seen from him yet, allowing just one goal. The 2nd goal being a last minute empty netter. Flyers Goaltender Alexei Kolosov makes his NHL debut in this one. Does not go the way he would have liked but he did make some nice saves. Late comeback attempt in the 3rd period made it interesting but the Flyers fall 4-3 to the visiting Montreal Canadians.

Jake Oettinger Signs $66 Million 8 Year Extension in Dallas

The Dallas Stars have locked up their #1 Goalie, Jake Oettinger to a new 8 Year Extension worth 66 Million Dollars. The new deal, kicking in next July 1st, carries a Cap Hit of $8.25 Million Dollars per season, exact same numbers as the recent deal with the Boston Bruins and their #1 goalie, Jeremy Swayman.

Looking forward to seeing Kolosov tomorrow. Smart move on Luchanko too, best choice for his long term development.

Looks like 8.25 Million is the new normal for a quality starting goaltender. Sure makes me wonder what the Rangers/ Igor Shesterkin deal will look like?
Especially considering that Shesterkin already turned down 8 years at $11 million per season. That's CRAZY!

What is your prediction on where the Sens finishing in the standings this season?
@JoeHockey-Flyers I'd like to see the Sens turn a few heads and slot themselves in the top 3 of the division but I'll go with 4th in the Atlantic and making the playoffs!
@@jamiesomerville8196 3rd would be tough but awesome. I think they'd be happy even with aa wildcard slot this year though. Get into the playoffs and get their young guys some playoff experience. They can build on that next year and beyond.

Thanks, I am glad you liked it. And I agree about the microphone. Just using the webcam camera with built in microphone right now. I will be upgrading that within the next few days so the audio should see a big improvement.

Philadelphia Flyers. My favourite team since I was a little kid. I remember watching both of their Stanley Cup championships back in the day. Top contenders for the coming season? The Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers again, maybe the Rangers or Stars.
